We strive to provide every guest with a positive experience and believe it is important to share the full context of this stay. This reservation was presented as a couple visiting the area for golf. Unfortunately, the occupancy and use of the property did not align with what was communicated prior to arrival. After checkout, our team found the cabin in significantly poorer condition than expected, including cigarette waste throughout the property, evidence of smoking inside the cabin despite our strict no-smoking policy, evidence of a pet on the premises, and additional debris left throughout the property. Extensive cleaning and odor remediation were required before the cabin could be prepared for incoming guests. In addition, none of the checkout requirements provided to guests were followed prior to departure, which further increased the time and effort required to restore the cabin for the next reservation. During the stay, the guests did not respond to our communications, including notifications regarding scheduled yard maintenance. The concerns raised after departure appear to be based solely on exchanges through the VRBO messaging platform rather than direct communication with our team during the stay. Given the condition in which the property was left and the lack of communication throughout the reservation, we handled all post-stay matters through VRBO's official resolution process to ensure a complete and documented record. Any claims regarding damages were submitted through the appropriate channels and supported with the documentation provided to the platform. **At this time, the claim remains under review by VRBO and has not yet been finalized or adjudicated.** We respect the review process and encourage prospective guests to consider our history of positive reviews.
