We very much enjoyed the size of the house. It has a well appointed kitchen, a beautiful deck and balcony areas, spacious bedrooms and a wood stove that came in very handy for the cloudy coastal weather. Our biggest concern was the mattress on the futon in the third bedroom - horrible! You can not count that as a sleeping area, even for children. We were also disappointed with the neighborhood. For the nightly price of the house - even though the house was nice - you are surrounded by mobile homes and lots of old RV's in the front yard. Just not what we expected.

I'm sorry the futon mattress was uncomfortable for you — we'll have our housekeeping team inspect it for any quality issues and should they find it lacking, they'll replace it. I also apologize that the surrounding properties didn't match your expectations. We will try to better capture the neighborhood when we next shoot listing photos. The home itself was okay with the exception of the TV not working and a broken lamp twisting off the wall. The real issue with this rental is the neighborhood. My family felt very unsafe. We missed the turn because the stop sign was knocked down and laying next to the road. Parked cars and RVs (some not used in years) surrounded the house making it difficult to even find the actual house. I cannot recommend this house for anyone looking to bring their families to the Oregon coast looking for a comfortable, quiet getaway. The house is indeed affordable, but we were simply not comfortable staying there.

Had a mildew smell when we first walked in and there wasn’t a microwave that it said it had. Also there weren’t enough towels. There was no door to the upstairs bedroom no privacy. the upstairs bedroom doesn’t have a closet to put your clothes in so they really can’t say that’s a bedroom. The house was nice overall it just could’ve been a little bit cleaner. The host was amazing though Tracy from Meredith properties made sure we got a refund but also got towels soap etc..anything we needed Tracy walls very attentive very communicative, which is really important! pet friendly & yes backyard is closed off so our dog got to run everywhere. I would say if you want a nice quiet getaway, this is it. There is no view of the golf course and there is no view of the ocean, but it is very close to the ocean. Also, the rooms downstairs are a little musty smelling, but I let the host aware of it and they plan on taking care of that also, some of the lamps were just falling off the wall and they’re going to address that as well, not enough lighting in my opinion, even though you have light coming through in the morning, there’s not enough at night time for dinner. There is only one TV, which is in the living room downstairs so if your kids need a TV to fall asleep, there’s none in their bedrooms only downstairs. There are other people close to the property. Yes, there are motor homes there but it’s a very quiet, friendly folks. We will use Meredith property again!! Just not this home.

Avoid this house. There were many broken, dirty, or otherwise sub par conditions with the house. The toaster only toasts one side of anything. The dryer makes a screaming sound. The sound does not go away. It is so loud it can be heard in the road. The third queen bed is a very uncomfortable futon. Ants everywhere. Spider webs, stains, bad smell. The bed linens appear to not have been cleaned. The throw blankets were filthy and covered in hair. No tiny soap bar for either shower. No wash cloths. The back slider door doesn't stay locked. The lamp on the living room wall falls over. I am not sure how the condition of the house justifies the price per night.

To Whom It May Concern, The property is nice, private and quiet. A good place to sleep. Not a good place to hang out and “live”. Our stay at your property was challenging and inconvenient. There were several things that need to be fixed on this property. I have made a list of things that need to be addressed so the next guests can have a better stay. And feel as though their money was well spent, as ours was not. fridge leaks water. Leaking from the inside, able to catch water in bottom of fridge with paper towelslights in living room do not work. One is broken, hanging limp from wall and turns on, the other one is not broken and does not turn onthe upstairs bathroom tub does not drain wellthe slider door off the dining room does not lock, at least there’s a bar in place it is very dark in this house even with lights onthe dryer squeaks with every turn and it’s very loud, metal on metal (worried about catching fire) (did not use)the blinds in the front windows are tornthe mattress in the bedroom by the downstairs bathroom is hard and uncomfortable Large burner on the stove does not workDownstairs toilet seat is looseVrbo link takes you to a completely different addressSincerely, Libby Wiseman(daughter of Cindy Richards)

Check in was easy and the kitchen was well equpped. The bedding was stained and the sheets had holes. Also, if you can’t check in until 4pm, checkout should be later. The link for the directions is not accurate.

The TV didn't work. A technician came when everyone was gone, and got a gray screen on the TV. There were 4 remotes with no instruction for any of them. The second week everyone brought their laptops. the refrigerator door doesn't open completely so the bottom drawer is unusable. Parking is tight.

The house itself is in a nice, quiet location, tucked away in Nehalem and a short drive to both downtown Nehalem and the beach in Manzanita. It was clean and comfortable. It was slightly hard to find, just because the house is tucked back in the trees with a small, gravel driveway.The check-in process had some issues, we were alerted only 6 hours in advance that our check-in had been moved from 4:00PM to 7:30PM. While we ended up getting a text just after 6 that it was ready for us to check-in, we still had to call the property manager to get in because the door code we were given did not work.If you're a light sleeper, note that even the smallest sounds from downstairs will echo up into the loft bedroom. Overall I'd give a 7/10 with the issues being largely administrative.
