Are you ready to enjoy "Life on a Sandbar"? Then It’s time to start your vacation One Block from the beach, feeling the ocean breezes and hearing the waves? Our Coastal Beach Cottage was built in 1913 and is the perfect getaway for those seeking relaxation. Nestled one block from the Beach, our charming retreat offers a perfect balance of coastal style and modern comfort.
The open-concept living area features a welcoming space for family gatherings. With a large Dining table for cozy evenings playing board games, working on puzzles, or relaxing on the Sofa and Loveseat to enjoy TV or a movie.
The Outdoor space in the backyard includes a spacious Conversation area and fire pit under a Pergola surrounded by Tropical landscaping. We have an Outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the Beach. There is also a large front porch where you can enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the sounds of the Gulf waves.
Our Coastal Beach Cottage is in the heart of Seawall Blvd and within easy walking distance to the beach (1 short block), which allows you to embrace the coastal lifestyle. More Gulf waves, views and thrilling rides await at the Pleasure Pier, which is a short 7/10ths of a mile walk. Restaurants within walking distance include The Spot, The Brick House, Gumbo Diner, Joe's Crab Shack and other Restaurants!
We are the owners and look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful Coastal Beach Cottage! We are always available to answer any questions. All you need to do is bring your clothes, food and be ready to relax or explore beautiful Galveston Island!

We can’t say enough great things about the accommodations or the host. The house was super clean and beyond stocked. If you forget toiletries of any kind, they have you covered. If you choose to cook a gigantic meal they have you covered with cookware, flatware… We appreciated that dogs were welcomed and again they were prepared should you forget your pet supplies. I sent the owner a few texts and the response was quick. Location is walking distance to the Spot and Pleasure Pier/seawall. Just wonderful!!!

This house was super cute and the perfect distance from the water. It had everything we needed for our spring break stay. The most wonderful and relaxing home away from home! Carol and Ron have provided a beautiful home with all the amenities you could hope to have. From the fully fitted out kitchen (including complimentary wine) to every toiletry you could think of - nothing is missing. Did I mention the Christmas tree???The backyard is a dream and they provide beach toys. So close to the beach and great places to eat and visit. A dream vacation.

Wonderful, colorful home. Had everything we needed! Especially enjoyed the fenced backyard for our 2 small dogs and the great ocean breezes on the front porch. Very close to the water and lots of restaurants. Hosts were exceptional on communication!

This was our second time to stay at this property and it did not disappoint. Carol was very responsive and always helpful when needed. We had our 3 year old and 2 dogs with us and had everything we need and more to accommodate them. We're already looking forward to coming back again next year!

Great Base for Exploring Galveston

We enjoyed our few days exploring Galveston and the cottage was a great spot to come home to. As in the photos, the decor gives total beach vibes and the bed was very comfortable.We didn’t cook here, but the kitchen looked fully equipped and the bathroom also had everything you could need.Hosts were great and I would recommend this cottage for a stay in Galveston.

Lovely and so close to the beach!

We came to Galveston in 2016 for a vacation and fell in love with this beautiful island and the feel of "life on a Sand Bar". We were blessed to be able to purchase this beautiful Coastal Cottage in 2016. This is a 1913 Coastal Beach Cottage decorated in a colorful beach style. The wood floors are original 1913 oak wood. Our home has definitely passed the test of time!
The home was purchased from a decedent of the original builders.
There is deep and extensive history in Galveston to explore and our home is just a small part of that history.
There are several Ghost tours in Galveston, and some will go to the 1900 storm Cemeteries. There is Galveston Historical Society Museum on Pier 21.
We are grandparents to 5 wonderful grandchildren. We both love living life and relaxing on the island. We love our beautiful beach home and this neighborhood, and we hope you will as well.
We are retired, live close and are always available if the need arises.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Once you drive up, you'll be thrilled that you chose our home for your vacation. It is the cutest yellow Coastal Beach Cottage with tropical landscaping including Lantana, Mexican Petunias, Mediterranean & Mexican Fan Palms and a Butterfly Bush. There is sidewalk from the curb all the way to the front porch. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly and right in the middle of Seawall Blvd. The home is only 1 short block to the Seawall and the beach. Another wonderful treat is, walking to the beach to watch the sunrise. It's one of our favorite highlights! You can also take your fur babies with you to the beach in the early morning and roam the quiet and serene beach to look for shells or just enjoy the beauty. "The Spot” is also only 1 block from our home and is a fun place to hang out. There is a restaurant, Tiki Bar, three more themed venues, bakery, ice cream parlor. You can leave your car at the home and walk. Pleasure Pier is a short walk of 7/10th of a mile. There are amusement park rides as well as shopping and Bubba Gump's Seafood and Shrimp Co and Fish Tales across the Street.

One of our favorite parts of this home is the large front porch. There is nothing better than sitting on the front porch and feeling the breezes from the Gulf. In the mornings, you can hear the waves as you enjoy morning coffee! You can also hear the waves in the evening from the front porch. If the front porch wasn't enough, the backyard is another breathtaking feature of our home. Sitting in the conversation area under the Pergola and grilling on the propane grill are wonderful ways to end your day at the beach. The home has a complete privacy fenced backyard as well as the side yards. Plenty of room for children and/or dogs to safely roam and play. There is also an outdoor shower with hot and cold water and a sprayer. You will feel like you are in a sanctuary!
