Marina de la Duquesa is a front line beach development located in Puerto de la Duquesa, halfway between Marbella and Gibraltar.Located right on the sea front and a minute walk away from the marina, la Duquesa golf course and all amenities, Marina Duquesa has all the facilities anyone could wish for: four swimming pools, two paddle tennis, a direct access to the beach, underground car park and 24h security just to name a few.The area is also well known for its numerous golf courses such as Valderrama, Sotogrande, San Roque, Finca Cortesin and la Duquesa golf course.Our luxury and spacious three bedroom penthouse comes with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a guest toilet, a large fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine and a spacious living room opening onto a L shape terrace overlooking the beach.It is fully air conditioned, with private WIFI, underground car park space, four communal swimming pools, 2 paddle tennis courts, 24h security and direct access to the beach.It is only a minute walk to the port of la Duquesa with its many bars and restaurants yet away from the noise.

Relaxing place

Great Appartment , location was ideal as directly on beach and right next to the marina .roof terrace and view were lovely. Appartment was spacious and clean . Only negative was a drain smell sometimes in the apartment . Would definitely return .

MD953 Apartment

The apartment has excellent views of the sea and mountains from its roof top terrace. The whole experience from initial booking to collecting the keys is easy and well managed by Costa. The staff are very polite and always happy to help with any queries, it’s also a plus having the Costa Holidays office in the Harbour, so if you have any questions it’s easy to call in to chat with the staff. The only downside is that the sinks in the bathrooms drain very slowly and at certain times the drains can smell very bad, not sure if its an apartment issue or to do with the building complex. This is our third year visit and during this stay the air-conditioning was not working in the bedrooms, fortunately the outside temperature was in the high 20°/low 30°’s, any higher and it would have been a real issue. We reported the issue to Costa and fair play to them they requested an engineer for the next day, unfortunately the engineer took three days to arrive could not fix the issue before we left.

Duquesa holiday

Apart from the smell from the ensuite bathroom every morning….clearly a problem with drains in the area and not being able to use the pools due to a water shortage !! Neither of which are the owners fault,we had great time the apartment is in a great location and there’s some great golf courses close by ,so all in all I would recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

April 2024 stay

The apartment is very spacious and in a great location next to the marina and beach, with lovely views from the balcony. Unfortunately none of the pools were open in the complex when we were there, but there are sunbeds around the pool and the complex is located right next to the beach. Would recommend this apartment.

Lovely property and location

Excellent stay, the complex was very quiet with a locked gate leading straight onto the beach which was great. The apartment could have been a bit cleaner, false finger nail on bathroom floor and dust under bed etc but generally good

Good views

Nice big apartment but felt that it could have been cleaner. Dust in lounge and floors not properly clean. Toaster in kitchen needs replacing.

Perfect Location

The apartment is in a great location near, the port of Duquesa, for restaurants the beach and only 5 minutes drive and you are in the countryside. Only 40 mins from Gibraltar and just over an hour to Malaga. The views of both the coastline and the mountains from this top floor apartment are excellent. The apartment is very spacious and well furnished with everything you could need. All very good. The drains need attention as the smell can be very pungent. Some of the sinks do not drain the water away for a long time, which suggests a blockage?! Other self catering accommodation we have stayed in offers one mid stay clean if you are there for more than a week.

Beautiful apartment

We went away for a few days, and arrived home Saturday evening. Our fob was not working so we could not get past any gates. After many unsuccessful attempts to call management we (seniors) climbed a fence. After 3 more attempts to call management Sunday, we had a new fob brought to us.

New Year Stay 2022/23

A lovely comfortable and cozy apartment. Fab views Great location Fabulously appointed Glad of the heating too as the nights were a tad chilly. Our only gripe was just one set of keys!!! This proved quite tricky with 2 teenagers, our 21 yr old nephew from New Zealand ( who fell in love with Spain) and ourselves. Although it was us oldies that we’re usually the last ones home 😜 We were constantly separating the keys n fobs. But we managed. We will definitely try to return in the Warmer months as the pool n gardens looked amazing too. Our eldest daughter who couldn’t come bcos of work is rather annoyed it was soo nice and she missed out. We’ll have to take her. ( that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!!)

Great Location

Property was in an excellent location for all the shops, bars and restaurants we needed. Very well appointed and decorated. Great sea and mountain views. A great location for travelling to golf courses and exploring the inland country villages like Ronda, Gaucin and Casares.

A Beautiful Penthouse

We loved staying in this Penthouse with its outstanding views. Very close to the nightlife and restaurants but peaceful. Very comfortable furnished felt more like a home than a holiday rental We are already planing our return.

Another wonderful stay at Duquesa

Location is perfect with easy access to all local amenities. Fantastic views of mountains and sea. Spacious accommodation. All in all, the perfect place to relax and unwind. COVID-willing we will be back for more of the same! Difficult to think of anything on which to improve.
