Self contained one bedroom log cabin .

Situated just 4 miles away from the historic town of Stratford upon Avon and with commanding views over open countryside, this log cabin in idyllically situated for the perfect weekend away. Nestled between a majestic willow tree and what must be one of the biggest cherry trees in the country the log cabin is totally private with its own parking and a large lawn.

Inside the cabin you will find a kitchenette, dining table for four people, sumptuous Italian leather suite, TV and the cast iron log burning stove makes for a very cosy addition in the winter as the enormous double sliding glass doors make for a wonderfully cool experience in summer.

The bedroom also looks out over open countryside and comprises one double bed, bed side cabinets, tv, wardrobe and clothes basket.

The shower room comprises of an electric shower, toilet, sink with cabinet and towel rail. Further amenities outside include a washing machine, washing line, and off street parking behind electrically operated security gates.

Please note that as spring and summer guests do not require the log burner, and as many guests are not familiar with fire lighting, logs and kindling are not provided. There is plenty of newspaper under the TV which you are welcome to use and there is a garden centre over the road that sells firewood, if you have not collected any on your way over.

Perfect cosy lodge

We enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay with pur 2 little dogs. The lodge is in a perfect setting, ideal for exloring Stratford, Warwick, Leamington. The lodge was very cosy and well equipped. It is very private and relaxing. Excellent shower with instant hot water. We will definitely look to return!

We loved it !!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here very private and chilled. We will definitely be returning. Shame the other bedrooms not in use. The only thing that’s missing is a hot tub lol. Plenty of places to go visit.

The first thing I noticed as I approached the property was that the patio doors and windows were open. The first thing to hit me was the stale, damp smell. The kitchenette did not have a cooker. The floor in the living room was bare concrete with a variety of rugs scattered around. The mattress was very old and needed replacing; the springs could be felt through it. The pillows were very old and smelt. There were lots of black dog hairs on the mattress protector. The cups were stained with tea or coffee. The TV in the bedroom only had limited channels that worked without breaking up - impossible to watch. The second bedroom was full of painting materials and was half decorated. There was no welcome or instruction pack. The log burner had not been cleaned out after it was last used. Everything was old, especially the bedding. We stayed one night, but the mattress was so uncomfortable because of the springs, sleep was impossible. We left a he next morning even though we had booked and paid for 3 nights. Have complained to the owner but he is not willing to give a refund. The photographs of the property are very misleading. I took photographs of all my concerns. I will never go back again.

The Lodge

James the owner was very helpful and responded to us immediately. The cabin was lovely and warm. A peaceful setting.

A nice base for a stay & if wishing to enjoy Stratford

Briefly met James who owns the cabin, seemed a very nice guy. Met our needs perfectly for a weekend break and close to Stratford town centre, a short car/taxi journey after a night out.

Perfect adult getaway

Easy booking process. Very good communication with the owner on directions and facilities before arrival. Cabin just as described in the pictures and write up. Minutes away from the town centre. Property was very clean and well attended to, has all the amenities needed for a short stay away. A couple of very minor down sides. But only very minor. The main road is less than a stone throw from the property so can be loud, but is quiet during dark hours. Secondly, the bed matress needs looking at renewal. Lots of loose springs which can be uncomfortable and noisy during the night. Overall a very enjoyable and pleasant stay with fantastic views and everything needed. I believe a covered hot tub on the front would add another element to this property and would certainly increase the asking price for booking. I would definately book again. Thanks
