Very well appointed home in a central location. nicely decorated for a comfortable stay. I would recommend changing the dining chairs (were only 3 and the cushions were in poor condition). It would be nice to have wine glasses as well. Minor things - but we were very happy with our stay.

Bait and Switch Pricing-Altida

Warning do not use VRBO trip board if you like an Altido managed property. They will triple the price of the property when you actually go to book it if you saved it on TripBoard. We had 7 properties save 4 of which were Altida based on price and location. When we went to book a property price had tripled for the exact time we had saved. All prices for days before and after were the low price we originally saw. Contacted VRBO, they were no help. Also, you have to go to their office to pick up keys then go to property. It is a bit awkward and is not near the property. There was also a mix up for fresh towels as it looked like we each got 1 towel for 5 night stay. Very frustrating dealing with Altida in getting this straightened out. As for the property, great location. Loved the historical charm. Kitchen and drawers very musty smelling, rest of property fine. One last detail, you will need to bring any supplies, spices, soaps etc from home. Most VRBO's leave former guests soaps, spices, etc, which is part of the fun when staying at VRBO. Not this one, no bath soap, shampoos, no laundry or dishwashing soaps, coffees, or spices. This is not a problem, just if you are a frequent user of VRBO everyone shares and leaves behind for the next guest. Please note when I mentioned this to Altida they told me they do not provide that. Can't argue that, they definitely made sure there wasn't any in the rental unit. In the end, loved property very disappointed in management company and VRBO in lack of effort in helping us out.

The unit was located in a central area with easy metro access and close to some lively streets. The unit was comfortable but somewhat dated and had a somewhat limited kitchen.

Average Stay

Great location. Good amount of space for the price but otherwise average stay and probably would not repeat. This property is managed by a company called ALTIDO. Their office, where you have to pick up keys, is not walking distance (with luggage) from the apartment. This was inconvenient. There are also late fees with late check-in (our flight was delayed) which cannot be paid by card. Also inconvenient since we had just landed in the country, were not aware of the fees until we notified the company of our flight delay and did not have many euros on hand. The apartment has a strong stale water odor that did not dissipate with opening the windows. The shower does not drain well and had dead flies floating in it upon our arrival. The futon is extremely uncomfortable and does not completely flatten. The bedding for the futon is sparse - a set of sheets and a thin old blanket. The advertised “two bedroom” is misleading given the futon is barely usable. Felt like staying in a hostel in terms of the quality.

Terrible check in, unclean apartment with moldy areas

To put it mildly, I’m disappointed with the check-in process. In sum, the after hours check-in process is wholly inadequate and unacceptable. The only information we had before check-in was the address of the property office and a note about fees for after hours check-ins confirmed by a phone call from (# removed). The man we spoke with asked what time we would check-in, we mentioned after 9 p.m. He said ok, and reminded us of the late check-in charges. We assumed there would be someone waiting to give us the keys at the office as there was NO other communication. On the day of check-in our flight was delayed due to weather. In the VRBO app, we messaged we would be late-we received NO response. On arrival at the Lisbon airport, we discovered TAP airlines had ‘lost’ one of our bags. We messaged the host again, again no response. After a very chaotic lost bag claim process, we were able to leave the airport at ~0130. We arrived at your check-in office around 0145-the office was closed. We had no instructions on what to do, nor who to contact, nor answers to our messages in VRBO about how to check-in. There was No sign on the door explaining what to do after hours. At a minimum, an after-hours contact number would have been nice-but in this case it would have been useless as we discovered no one would answer the «24/7 » contact numbers we happened to finally find on a property management website. By the way, at 2 a.m. the streets are very lively with people who were generous with their mocking comments as we attempted to contact you. We tried the number I mentioned above. We messaged VRBO. We called the “24/7” contact number. There was no answer for the Portugal office, even though I was « 1st in line ». I soon discovered an unmanned phone is never answered. I wrote an ‘emergency’ e-mail (which was answered two hours later). At this point my wife ‘discovered’ a set of keys in an unmarked box next to the office. Almost simultaneously, I got in contact with someone (even after unsuccessfully trying to connect with your office in England out of desperation). This person’s phone connection was unintelligible (maybe his being on speaker washed his voice out), but we finally understood the keys were for us-but only after arguing with the representative about ‘check-in’ papers!?!? What a joke! Property management was completely absent-we highly advise anyone against renting any property managed by this company.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter Lisbonne

L'appartement est idéalement situé pour visiter Lisbonne. Il est au 2ieme étage. La chambre donne sur une cour très calme. Le séjour donne sur une rue plus passante. Il est très confortable et conforme aux photos. Cet appartement est géré par la société Altido. Sympathique et réactif.
