We enjoyed staying in the apartment at the base of the castle. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. Very authentic experience.

Great location. Clean. Nice size.

This is a clean, recently renovated apt in an old building on a narrow quiet street very close to the Castelo de São Jorge. It has a long stairway and the street is to narrow for cars. If you are in an Uber rather than a taxi you will have to walk up(and I mean up) a few cobblestone blocks to reach the address but it's worth it.

Great Apartment

Was a great place to stay in Lisbon - close to lots of sites. Nice unit in a quiet area. Very clean and well maintained. The host/property manager was great and made the process easy along with the person who met me for check in. Would recommend this place!

Lisbon

Location of the house is excellent, close to a lot of key points of interest. Gives a great feel for the city. It is in a non-drivable portion for non-residents so packing light helps. The house was clean and had all the amenities. Overall an excellent experience.

Excellent apartment near castle

This is a lovely flat for 2. A bit tricky to find initially but position is fab. Loads to do close by. No noise at night despite being very close to restaurants etc Tip. Take a cab from the airport!

Explored

We enjoyed our time near the castle. Lots of great walking trips and convenient location to elevators to get downtown and grocery store. Flat was very nice and comfortable. Only two small suggestions for improvement-replace pillow cases as one is quite thread-bare; provide a small paring knife as the serrated bread knife does not work well on hard vegetables.

Located within the walls of Sao Jorge castle and a steep climb on foot. Take bus 737 from Praca Figuera to reach the apartment. Wifi not reliable.

Bright apartment, top of the hill

We loved this little apartment. The tiny street was quaint and the neighborhood was quiet at night (but very busy with tourists during the day—we were gone all day so it didn’t bother us). Learning about the public elevators that get you most of the way up the hill was a game-changer. If you’re not able-bodied, this isn’t probably a good spot for you, but we found it a lovely place to stay for our 4 day trip to Lisbon. The apartment was clean, bright & comfortable!

Great location

Accommodations were as expected. Photos and description were accurate. Host responded immediately and addressed minor issue with TV. Only issues were the towels. One bath and one hand towel per person. No hand soap in wc to start the visit. Otherwise, we enjoyed our 3 week stay.

Kalathos house 4 apartment was very good overall

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in the apartment. We liked having a separate bedroom, eating area, and small living room. It was quiet at night for sleeping, and the bed was comfortable. It's in a great location near the castle, shops and restaurants on a nice narrow little street, but is quite an uphill hike to get there on foot! The bathroom was small but adequate, and it looks like there is a planned washing machine in the kitchen which would have been nice to have. I would recommend this apartment to others. Be sure to go to Claras em Castelo restaurant just around the corner!

Excellent location and price

Wow, great space!!! Newly renovated all interior is sparkling and well laid out. You only turn left when going out of the apartment, then a right and you are at the castle de Saint George! Incredible, a block away! Our host is wonderfully prompt and answered questions immediately. The Alfama district of Lisbon was very fun has a wonderful bakery and several restaurants. Be ready to go up and down winding streets - but most of Lisbon is like that and you will enter the castle of Saint Jorge arch as you round the block to the apartment! We stayed for four days and wished we could have stayed longer as there are 12 sites and or activities within walking distance!

Grand logement, idéalement situé, à 1 minute à pied du château Sao Jorges. Propre, bien équipé et dans un beau quartier. Très calme! Accueil sympathique de Maria! Nous avons adoré notre séjour!

Urlaub im Castelo

Hoch über der Altstadt in einer modernen Ferienwohnung, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, haben wir Lisboa genießen dürfen. Vertrauensvolle Kommunikation im Vorfeld und ein warmherziger Empfang rundete alles noch ab. Kurze Wege in urige Kneipen und ein Fadobend - mehr geht nicht🤗

gîte aux portes du castelo

Tout était très bien mis à part le four qui ne fonctionnait pas et les coussins trop épais et durs. Très jolie situation, aux portes du château, calme avec même un bus pour remonter lorsqu'on est trop fatigué :)

Une semaine fin août

Très bonne bonne réactivité de l’équipe. Appartement calme et lumineux. Bonne literie dans la chambre. C’est dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de lave- linge. J’ai regretté qu’ il n y ait pas les produits de base dans la cuisine : sel poivre et huile.

Appartamento caratteristico

Ottima location, centralissima, sopra a Alfama nella zona castello, che è la zona più antica e caratteristica. Non c'è chiasso di notte, si dorme bene, ottimi anche i letti. Ottimi i trasporti sia i tram che gli autobus e i taxi, c'è una fermata a due passi sia dell'autobus che dei taxi E' un po' faticoso uscire e rientrare a casa per le caratteristiche di questa zona, che è in un pendio ripido. Buona la pulizia e l'attrezzatura. Avrei preferito, dato il periodo invernale, che ci fossero delle stufette per riscaldare l'ambiente, le abbiamo richieste e ce ne hanno portata una dopo due giorni.

Wonderful little apartment, lots of hills

The apartment is as advertised. It's perfect for one person and probably fine for a couple. Be aware that traffic is restricted into the area so you will always be walking uphill for a distance when returning from your day. Nevertheless it is a great place to stay with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.
