Please note nightly price is for 2 x guests and extra guests will be charged at 20.00 per night. Looking for a holiday where you do not need your car, everything you need is right on your doorstep within easy walking distance. Park your car using the FREE PARKING right opposite your holiday home, and the beautiful Blue Flag Beaches of Aguilas, on the Costa Calida, are only a 5 minute walk from the apartment. You get a sea view from the bay window in the lounge or from the comfy shaded balcony. You are spoilt for choice with numerous bars and restaurants right on your doorstep or, if you prefer to cook at home using the fully equipped kitchen, you have a supermarket just next door stocking all the essentials you could need.
Henry’s Apartment is situated right under the castle that you can walk up to and enjoy the spectacular views of both of the wide sweeping sandy bays, and the promenades, or enjoy a meal in the restaurant there, again with spectacular views of Aguilas and the surrounding mountains.
Or you may prefer to amble along to Plaza Espana where you will find a great selection of pavement bars, cafes and restaurants where you can sit under the shade of the rubber trees with a café con leche.
The blue flag beaches of Aguilas are all within an easy 5 minute walk, and in the summer season there is plenty of entertainment for all the family in this typical Spanish fishing town on Spains less visisted Costa Calida (Warm Coast)
During the winter months Aguilas enjoys a warm climate with temperarures around 18 to 19 during the day, and plenty of blue skies and sunshine, and makes a great place to come and enjoy a winter sun holiday.
Please note that the apartment is fitted with a Secuitas Direct monitored alarm system, which includes a sensor in the lounge and one in the hallway with image capture technology in the event of an alarm activation. Please note that the alarm system is only activated when the property is empty and it is not active during reservations and is not able to monitor guests video or audio who stay, thank you for your cooperation.

We travelled through Spain in our motorhome before settling in Aguilas, we then moved out to the country, but still close to Aguilas, and set up our first holiday rental business from our home, Rico's Retreat, which has been very successful. When we were in a position to purchase an apartment in Aguilas we invested in a 4 bedroom property in a small residential block right in the centre with sea views and walking distance to the beaches and all the amenities Aguilas has to offer. We carried out extensive refurbishments including new kitchen and bathrooms and all new furniture and beds. We both took early retirement from a busy working life and simply love Spain and the Murcia region, and in particular Aguilas on the Costa Calida (warm coast) and maybe in the future we will move into Henrys Apartment when we downsize.

Located at the southernmost point of the Region, it acts as a border with Andalusia and conquers with its beaches, its history and its Mediterranean charm. In Águilas you will see how easy it is to get lost and disconnect. Occupying a 28 km coastal strip and under the surveillance of its beautiful castle of San Juan de las Águilas , this municipality is located at the southernmost point of the Region. This town has been populated since the Paleolithic era, and many other ancient cultures such as the Argaric, Phoenician, Roman and Muslim have also left their vestiges here, especially highlighting the Roman remains found from the 1st to the 4th century, among which its Roman Baths stand out. Águilas is located 35 km from Lorca , 105 km from Murcia and 75 km from Cartagena . Its municipal area covers an area of 251.77 km². It has 28 km of Mediterranean coastline in the extreme southwest of the Region of Murcia .
The urban centre originated in an ancient tombolo , located at the foot of the rocky outcrop on top of which is the castle of San Juan de las Águilas , with two bays on its sides, the western one and the eastern one, more sheltered as it is delimited at its other end by the peak of Aguilica, which is why the port of Águilas is located in the Municipality of Águilas in relation to the Region of Murcia
The municipality of Águilas is surrounded by a series of mountain ranges that separate it from the Guadalentín valley : the Sierra de la Carrasquilla and the Sierra de la Almenara , the latter protected as a LIC and SPA due to its great environmental value. El Talayón is the highest peak in this mountain range with 881m above sea level, located to the north of the municipality, and is also the highest point in the same. Also notable is the Lomo de Bas , a relief that separates Águilas from the Lorca municipalities of Ramonete and Garrobillo to the east.
It includes part of the Cabo Cope and Puntas de Calnegre regional park , shared with the municipality of Lorca.

Situated in one of the best locations in Aguilas, with sea views from the lounge bay window and from the balcony. Ideal for couples looking for a spacious central holiday apartment, or for friends and families. Once settled in you do not need to use your car as everything is within easy walking distance, including Aguilas famous blue flag beaches and the lovely old town with Plaza Espana being the focal point. Shaded by huge rubber trees it is an ideal place to sit and enjoy a café con leche or a beer, or sit and eat at one of the many bars and restaurants that are situated around the Plaza with a bottle of wine or two.You can wander around the compact centre and enjoy the huge amount of independent shops and treat yourself to something unusual.
