Farmhouse Auvergne Mountainview

The detached farmhouse from 1897 has been fully renovated in 2001; original details like the wooden beams of the ceiling at the ground floor, the fire place with the large chimney and the thick walls of almost one meter have been kept. The house has been fully adjusted to the demands of today, central heating, modern bathroom, bright bedrooms and two toilets. The authentic details and antique decorations in the living room give the house its authentic atmosphere where everyone feels at home.

Around the house you will find several patios, a veranda, a fixed barbeque and a spacious garden. The magnificent location of the house with its panoramic view over the valley, in the middle of the nature of the Cantal, guarantee privacy and rest. A stress free holiday. The farmhouse has been suited to six persons; at request an extra baby bed is available. At arrival the farmhouse has been cleaned and the beds have been made up.

Livingroom
The living room with half open kitchen (45m2). The authentic fireplace, provided with a stove, with its large chimney forms the centre of the living room. Wood for the fireplace is always available.
In the living room you’ll find a comfortable three and two seats sofa with an easy chair. A storage for toys, games, books and magazines is available for young and old. A comfortable reading chair with lighting makes reading enjoyable. There is European satellite TV, including English spoken channels, a DVD player is present and a video. The living room and kitchen has a tile-floor and central floor heating. In the living room two doors give access to the terrace of the veranda.

Kitchen
The built in kitchen has all equipment required, electric hot-plate with cooker hood, dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator with separate freezer, washing-drying machine. But also kitchen equipment like coffee-maker, electric water cooker, a toaster and a food mixer are present just as all the other things that you are used to at home. The comfort and equipment in the kitchen invite you to spend some more time on cooking, now you are on holiday. The dining table has 6 chairs.

BedroomsThree spacious bright bedrooms (12m2, 12m2 and 9m2). The bedrooms have a concrete floor covered with parquet and have central heating. Each bedroom has two box spring beds of 90X 200cm; the beds are provided with duvet covers. The box spring beds each have a bed side table and lamp and on each bedroom a spacious wardrobe is available with shelves and a hanging part. Coat hangers are present.

At arrival the house has been cleaned and the beds have been made up. At request an extra bed linen change can take place during your stay. You only have to take hand and tea towels. At request we have an extra baby bed and baby chair available.

Bathroom
The spacious bathroom has a bath and shower with cupboard and built in washbasin. The water from the tap is hot in France; the taps are provided with a thermostat. A separate toilet is next to the bathroom. On the ground floor, next to the entrance, another toilet is available.

Garden
Around the house and in the garden you will have several patios, so you will always have a favourable spot for wind and sun with optimal privacy.

A fixed barbecue is available and all patios have sufficient garden furniture. At the parking of gîte Sud (at env. 100m) we made a jeu de boules lane; balls are available.

For the kids we made a sand box with toys in the garden of gîte Sud and they can also play in the stream that runs through the garden. The water level in the stream is low in summer, so they can safely build their dams. The surface of the garden of the farmhouse is 1000m2, the garden of the gîtes is 4300m2.

You'll have full access to the house and garden.

The local manager Alain will welcome you upon arrival and is available whenever you need him. He speaks English, Dutch and French.

Le Claux is a small village in the Cantal in Auvergne. The beautiful surroundings have many vistas and are perfect for walks, bike rides and other outdoor activities in nature.

A car is necessary.

Electricity: 25 kWh per day is included in the price. With normal consumption, this does not lead to extra costs. Additional consumption is settled at check out and costs €0.25 per kWh

The specified number of guests when booking may not be exceeded without permission from BnB Assistant.

The tenant is obliged to immediately report breakage of crockery or any other damage to BnB Assistant.

During the stay, the holiday home must be kept clean. On departure, the holiday home and garden must be left tidy, free of waste and broom clean. Household waste and small waste must be deposited in the container.

Do not throw sanitary towels, tampons, wet wipes, etc. in the toilet but in the waste bin

The crockery and accessories must be returned clean in the drawers and cupboards.
