Clean and convenient

Pros: very clean and updated, ocean view, the unit had everything we needed (except a hair dryer), there are wheeled carts which are nice for moving out/ in, a short walk to the beautiful beach and pools, easy walk to downtown, beach/pool passes were no big deal/ as expected. Cons: the thermostat resets itself from 70 to 72 every couple of hours which led to hot sleeping; the mattresses were not to our liking- very soft or very hard, depending on the bed. The parking at Sea Colony is challenging at first because the numbered spaces are in a totally nonsensical random order. Once we found our space it was in a great location, but I don't recommend trying it for the first time at night. Also, you have to check in twice; the second check in (the one to Sea Colony) involved a fairly long, slow line.

Nice features but….

Lots of nice features, spacious living room etc. however be mindful that the 3rd bed room so very small. Also there is a “rule” that the AC cannot be below 72 or 70 (depending what you read). I am all for not abusing appliances but for the cost of the unit, that is a ridiculous limitation. Also the unit is in the Sea Colony complex. There are a lot of borderline ridiculous rules and policies you must adhere to. Turning off water/electric, remembering to wear badges everywhere you go. There’s enough to think about when traveling with a 2 and 6yr old. I was aware of the badges but I underestimated how annoying it is to remember them plus all the other policies and procedures. Also several smaller items were broken (showers diverter/screen door etc). I typically am not picky about these but when you charge what they’re charging + tack on all the rules/policies you expect to get more out of it. Lastly the staff at sea colony and others we came across either on property or folks in Bethany were largely unfriendly (borderline rude). Like a family vacation was intruding on their space/town. Was looking forward to this trip as we always stay in OCMD but will not be returning to this unit or the area in general. Would recommend OCMD if you’re traveling with small children. The biggest plus was the baby pool, but not enough to remotely make up for the other items.

Sea colony

Condo was in excellent condition. Host provided paper towels and other sundries that made the stay easy. I would go there again.

Nice place for a family vacation

Very nice condo in a community with pools and private beach. The community is near restaurants and shops. We traveled with my in-laws and two young children and the condo was well equipped to handle all we needed.

Loved this updated unit, great location

Our family really enjoyed this unit. Furniture, appliances, cooking wear, everything was in great shape. Doesn’t get any better than summer at Sea Colony!!
