Not What We Expected
If we had to do it all over again we would stay somewhere else. The pictures make the home seem much nicer than it is. It has been neglected and is great need of some TLC. The HVAC and ceiling fan in the large living room were not working upon arrival - took 4 phone calls to Hodnett to finally reach someone because they kept hanging up on me. While the big oaks on the property are absolutely beautiful that comes with added maintenance which no one was doing. The entire paver pool deck was covered upon arrival, huge leaf piles in corners of wall and fence, one fence portion is broken and falling in, roof of overhang was damaged and not repaired, the grill was unsightly and had a coal starter and lighter fluid just sitting atop of it, the dirty grill grate was propped up along the fence, a blue cooler was leaning on gate. Pool turned green on Day 2 and after multiple phone calls the pool company finally came out the day before our departure and said don't get in it until tomorrow - well we were leaving. Hodnett did refund a small amount for the pool inconvenience. Black fruit flys in master bathroom. 2 roaches on Day 3. The pool cover isn't even in a location that it is usable. One of the glass globes on the dining room chandelier is missing. There is only 1 pool lounger, the listing shows 2. There's no tv in the master, the listing shows one. All pool furniture was in disarray upon arrival. My husband actually looked to see if somewhere else was available for our time frame.
