St Simons coolaste strandbungalow med privat pool / badtunna!

Boka nu våren och sommaren och hösten 2018. Cottages of Live Oak, One of St. Simons Bästa samhällen är bekvämt beläget utanför Demere Road, strax innan Beach Drive. Bara några minuters promenad till stranden eller byområdet gör denna stuga till en av de bästa platserna på ön. Privat pool och badtunna plus bra läge !!

Kahulas stuga erbjuder en unik strandbungalowstil med tallgolv, öppna och rymliga rum och tre (ja, tre) verandor. Tillräckligt med verandor och uteplatser (totalt 5) så att alla kan hitta sin favoritplats att fly och koppla av medan de bor här.

Vardagsrummet har gott om sittplatser och en mycket bekväm "NY" soffa och stol och osmanska. En öppen spis förankrar det ljusfyllda rummet som öppnas upp till den avskärmade verandan längst ner i rummet med en sängsving. Skärmverandan blir din favoritplats att koppla av medan du bor på Kahlua's Cottage. Matsalbordet är ett antikt gårdsbord och har plats för sex till åtta. Väggfärgen i matsalen och köket påminner dig om färgen i Medelhavet eller Karibien. Alla fönster i matsalen har privat pool och badtunna. Det fullt utrustade köket har apparater i rostfritt stål, gasspis, "New Refrigerator" och unika öppna glasskåp ovanför barområdet. Det finns uteplats från skärmen verandan som har en gasgrill och en kolgrill plus ett bord och 4 stolar.

Det stora sovrummet är på huvudnivån och har en NY i dec 2017 queen-size madrass och boxsprings. byrå och fåfänga bord plus platt-tv. De andra två sovrummen är på övervåningen samt det andra hela badet och tvättstugan och soldäck. Ett av sovrummen på övervåningen har två enkelsängar och det andra har en dubbelsäng. Ett av sovrummen på övervåningen har en liten tv. Det finns också en uppblåsbar dubbelsäng som kan ställas in någon annanstans i huset om det behövs. Övervåningen soldäck har adirondak stolar och sidobord. Det är den perfekta platsen att njuta av de varma soliga vinterdagarna eller titta på stjärnorna på sommaren.

Verandan har två rockers och en veranda swing och lockar dig med en underbar blå ytterdörr. Gunite pool och badtunna är glasyren på kakan för denna mycket välutrustade och avkopplande stuga. Parkera bilen när du anländer och går till byn eller stranden. Eller hyra cyklar eller vagnar för de bästa åkarna på ön. Njut av!

Property was exactly as pictured, in excellent location. We were with in a mile of all the sights, beach, shopping and of course some of the best restaurants. Property manager Beverly was excellent making sure all our travel plans went smooth and very quick to respond with any questions. This house is equipped with anything you might need. We will be back next year. It was also perfect for our dogs

Clean and cozy! Felt so much larger and open in person! Absolutely loved the porch swings. We all had such a great time. A short golf cart ride to everywhere you want to go. Thank you so much for an amazing family vacation. Saint Simon’s Island is such a special place.

Perfect Blend of Pool and Beach

Great property. House and pool were awesome. Having a pool is the way to go on St Simon’s and this is a great place to stay. Beach a few minutes aways so having a golf cart definitely will help. Downtown area, lighthouse and restaurants close and easy to access.

May 2025 perfection

This rental property is exactly the pictures shown. We had dogs with us and there was a great area of small grass right next to the home. One review mentioned there were none but this was not true. It's a nice and quiet neighborhood and felt safe. I also felt the pool area was private. The porches were wonderful to enjoy each morning and evening. The house was so clean which was a strong plus for me. There were two areas where you can easily walk to from the home. Many restaurants and shops nearby. We had one minor issue with the hot tub and owners responded very quickly. It was also an easy fix. We highly recommend this rental property.

Great house, great stay

House is much larger than it appears in pictures and the downstairs space is fantastic. Weather limited our use of the pool but we squeezed out as much as we could from the one sunny day we had. Will definitely book again.

Spring Break Vaca

Cute cozy eclectic beach bungalow nestled in a small private community. Only five houses in the Live Oak Cottages, super accommodating for multiple families to be close to each other to rent those houses. Great location for riding bikes to The Village, King and Prince etc. This house does back up to Demere Rd so some road noise at night and on the screened porch. Each room had an overhead fan and portable fans were provided which was nice for noise too. Loved the front porch swing and cocktail pool. There is an outdoor shower which was nice, parking can be a little tricky, but a non issue for our family. Bathroom towels were limited, so plan to do some wash while you’re there. Only two towels for the week in Master bathroom. All appliances were in good working order, plenty of hangers in each bedroom with luggage racks. It could use some fresh paint and updates but overall a great vaca for what our family needed!

SSI stay for the 1st time

Great house! Well stocked with great kitchen well supplied. Enjoyed the front porch!Had an issue with hot tub control panel but owner had repair guy out the next morning to replace.Only negative is master bedroom backs up to Demere road which is a little busy during the day!Would stay again! Loved SSI!

Just what we needed!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kaluha’s Cottage. We were looking for a small-ish house, close to beach and everything, dog friendly, and with everything we needed on the first floor. Our dog has a hard time with stairs- so the idea was not to use the second floor. First- St. Simons Island and the surrounding area are beautiful. Lots of beautiful places to visit, great restaurants, quaint shops, and nice nightlife. Highly recommend a visit. The house was very clean, had everything we needed, and looked as nice as advertised. It would comfortably sleep 6 adults. Bathrooms were great- reasonable size. The pool was very nice- with steps that made it easy to get in and out. The porch on the first floor was fantastic- with a large porch swing that was so relaxing. The location was close to everything. Owner was very kind and responsive.There are only two things to keep in mind based on your needs if you are a dog owner. There is only a tiny area of grass on the side of the house. For our dog- this was not ideal as he needs some room to walk. Second- the house is located on a busy, dark street without easy access to large grassy areas nearby when doing potty breaks in the early morning or nighttime (times when it is dark and you are not out and about taking the pup to parks). This was not ideal- but we would stay again if it was a short stay. For a longer stay- dealing with the potty situation would become hard to handle.

Lovely Home

This home is beautiful and just as described, plenty of room for everyone to relax. The weather did not cooperate but the home owners were great to work with. The pool and swinging bed were my favorites.

As advertised! Cozy bungalow in a beautiful place!

We had never stayed in St. Simon's, but thought we'd try a new place. We are looking for laid back, easily walkable community, a house with a private pool that is well appointed. This one checked all the boxes. The first two days we were riding out Hurricane Debby. Beverly was in touch about the storm path and this was reassuring. Turned out we mostly sat on the swing on the screened in back porch and watched it rain. The island was cleaned up quickly and we were back, but even the morning after the worst of the storm we were able to walk to the pier, see the lighthouse, etc. SSI is a laid back, historically significant, "chill" little beach community. Boys watched TV and played XBox while weather was bad--house was very comfortable for this. When the weather got better, we alternated between a beach at SSI and one at nearby Jekyll Island. A great, reinvigorating trip that was just what we needed. Highly recommend the area as well as Kahlua's Cottage!

Amazing St Simon’s Family Vaca

Beverly was a fantastic host. Great at communicating and also providing preferred rental vendors. House was perfect for our family of 6. So clean and wonderful amenities. Perfect location very close to shopping village and pier. Looking forward to our next stay!

Hi, we are the Jones. We have 3 grown children and 1 fur baby, our yellow lab named Brogan. Shelby, our oldest is married to Jessica and they have 2 children, Declan and Rosemary. They live in Dunwoody GA. Megan lives in Atlanta and Leslie lives in Houston. Mac and I live in the Virginia Highland area of Atlanta. You will be able to see when you stay at Kahlua's Cottage that we are huge Georgia Bulldog fans. We also root for Ole Miss as our daughter Leslie graduated from there. We have previously lived in Roswell GA, Houston Texas and Suwanee GA. Mac is a native Atlantan, and Beverly grew up in the Sandy Springs area of Atlanta. Both Mac and Beverly have been coming to SSI since childhood.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Having grown up in Georgia, both Mac and Beverly have been coming to St Simons and the Golden Isles since they were kids. We love the quaint atmosphere of St Simons. When we found the house at Cottages of Live Oak, the floorplan was so comfortable and made for a relaxing place for us to spend time with our grown kids, and friends and family. Kahlua's Cottage has fullfilled our dream and is very much a relaxing home away from home. The pool and hottub have really been enjoyed by all, especially Brogan. The location is perfect because we can walk or ride bikes to the village area and also to the area on Ocean Dr where Crab Daddies and Beachcomber BBQ(our favorite local restaurants) are located. We really enjoy walking Kahlua to the beach in the afternoon and sit on one of the pocket beaches (1/4 mile from Kahlua's) and watch the ships come in and out of the Brunswick Harbor. If we want to spend a day at the beach we usually go to the Coast Guard Station near East Beach and park there. The beach stays good there all day long(about 1/2 mile from Kahlua's). We also loved all the porches that Kahlua's Cottage has, the front porch, the screened porch and the top porch upstairs. It is a perfect day when we can sit in the rockers on the front porch and drink coffee, then ride bikes to lunch somewhere on the island, then go sit on the beach in the afternoon and watch the ships come in and out and then finish up by walking to Crap Daddy's for dinner. Then back home for one more stroll to the beach with Brogan. He loves being able to run on the beach by moonlight.

Great Location for getting to Village, Beach, and other areas of the Island!! Private pool and hot tub, and best porches around!!!!!The kitchen is stocked better than my kitchen at home!!!Check to see what the tide is doing before you leave the house, which is important since the beaches closer to the village tend to disappear during high tide, but the beaches towards East Beach are always good!
