Super Unterkunft! Gerne wieder!

Die Unterkunft ist geräumig und sauber! Das einzige was störend war ist die Nähe zur Straße! Es war sehr laut und immer viel Verkehr!

Relaxing and comfortable

Great location to watch the sunset from the patio. Lots of space so guests never felt crowded. Grounds are well cared for. Didn’t get a chance to check out the gym or pool. The snorkel and beach accessories were a bonus for us. The primary bed needs some WD-40 because it squeaked with every movement and the pillows could use some updating. We also had to turn the ringer on the landline phone down because it would ring at least once a day. We would definitely stay here again.

Great property and ideal location

Loved this property!! Super clean and great location. Kitchen was totally up to date and living room had a new tv mounted on the wall. And there was a grill on the patio, so that was ultra convenient. (Basically there were upgrades not shown in the pictures). Ignore the reviews of the subpar chair and couch. It may be an older style but it was sooooo comfortable. This is a corner unit along the road side so unfortunately road noise was on the louder side but we did spend a lot of time with the patio door open nonetheless. Beach gear (chairs, cooler, boogie boards, etc) was lacking but we purchased and left for the next guests. Overall amazing stay.

Fun in the sun

Everything was amazing. We enjoyed every day. We will be back. Ps. Dont wanna come across rude, not the intention, but little update on pots and pants and maybe couch. We made it work, but if larger group and couch needs to be used , only small kids can use it. Its very uncomfortable for adults. But all in all the place is great. Tjank you😊

Quiet and Convenient

Nice place clean and well furnished. Does need a new recliner in the living room, we put a sheet over it to sit on it. Arms were black kind of gross. Otherwise awesome place would stay again.

EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT. HERE ARE SOME "WISH I HAD KNOWN" THINGS THAT WILL MAKE IT BETTER THOUGH: 1. There is very poor signage across Hawaii and Google Maps is incorrect most times. Especially if you have Verizon as service. A PIN should be provided instead of the explanation that maps is incorrect. That doesn't help. A PIN drop would be quicker and should be texted to your customers. 2.We arrived at night. VERY limited lighting on the keypad area for the gate entrance. We drove around it twice trying to find it. 3. The AC is locked at 72 degrees. I'm a fat guy. 68 degrees is the only existing comfortable setting. After two weeks, these are the only negative things i could possibly suggest to make it better. IT WAS THAT GOOD.

Very comfortable and clean.

This place was very well equipped with all the necessities that you can think of. Kitchen was well equipped for our one week stay as we did some cooking. Very close to KTA grocery store and enjoyed the Farmer’s Market where we got to try all the amazing produce that the island has to offer.

Christmas 2022

We stayed at this property for the 2nd time over the holidays. The location is ideal...just south of Kona. Easy access to the Kona activities but not as crowded. The local grocery store is walkable and really good. Two hour drive to the visitors center at Hawaii Vocanoes National Park. A little for than an hour to the north end of the island. The whole family had a great time and enjoyed the accommadations.

Hawaii first timers!!!

What a great place to stay! The unit was lovely: clean, decorated nicely, nice new appliances, had everything you might need in the kitchen and plenty of towels for the 4 of us. It was fantastic to be able to do laundry whenever we needed. Smart tvs in the living area and master bedroom were great. There’s a sightly older tv in the 2nd bedroom, but you could bring along a Firestick or Chromecast if you need to. The area is perfect, shopping (grocery and drug store and Asian, Mexican and Italian restaurants and movie theater) right up the road. A short walk to Kahalu’u beach and amazing snorkeling, paddle boarding and surfing (great for beginners). Just a quick drive to Kailua-Kona and even more fantastic shopping and eating and farmers markets. Booking was super simple. Kona Coast Vacations (property manager) was great to deal with; payment reminders were sent and the contract was easy to complete. Check in was easy with a detailed email sent with code for the lockbox and easy to follow directions. Only things I would mention is that it would be great to f there were some beach chairs and an umbrella for guests to use, and as another reviewer mentioned, there is a slight musty smell to the towels, but we got some Downey scent beads and added them to the laundry when washing the towels and that helped a lot. Overall a fantastic stay!!!

Paradise!

The condominium is beautifully decorated, all the appliances are new and easily operated, and the bedrooms are spacious. Some beds are squeakier than others. The Lanai’s are comfortable and we noticed very little traffic noise.

Lovely townhouse

I enjoyed my stay, this was a nice, clean townhouse with a nice pool & hot tub area. I really enjoyed the big soaking bathtub in the the maser bathroom. Overall a cute & cozy place to stay.

Great spot!

Location was a few minutes walk from the beach and only 15 minutes from Kona, host was easy to communicate with and sent some recommendations. View from the balcony was amazing, and it had all the amenities we needed and was clean. Definitely recommend!

Goos rental with some flaws

Pros Very spacious, bright and modern home. Very beautiful. It offers everything you might need: boogie boards, beach chairs, a big cooler etc. A fully equipped kitchen with some basic spices and great coffee, which was very nice. Awesome view from the lanai where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets. King size bed in the master was comfortable. Has AC which is not common for Hawaii. Cons I have to agree with the previous reviews that it’s pretty loud since it’s located on a very busy street and the master faces the street. We didn’t mind, but it’s definitely sth you should take into consideration especially if you or your kids are light sleepers, you will definitely have some trouble getting a good nights sleep. Also, the wooden bed creaks like crazy which might also disturb your sleep. The view from the lanai is awesome as I already mentioned above, however the busy street and its volume destroy the peaceful atmosphere. The towels didn’t smell good, quite musty. Taking a shower was a pain and takes forever since the water pressure is a joke which did take me by surprise considering everything is so new and modern in this house. We had some huge issues with the AC. We were constantly freezing cause the temp was set quite low. The problem is that you can’t change the thermostat on your own. Every time you want to adjust the temperature to your needs, you have to call the Property Management Agency who will then contact the owner since she is the only one who can do that. Annoying, but I could’ve lived with it, BUT it only worked for a day. The next day the temp was back to what it was before we made the call. It was really annoying! Overall, it is a really nice, almost like new and modern home which offers you everything you might need for your vacation, but some of the things like the shower oder the AC were really annoying to deal with on a daily basis during your vacation.

Wonderful unit in very nice complex

We very much enjoyed our stay in this unit. It was modern and had everything you need. The complex was beautifully landscaped and maintained The sunset view every night from the lanai was wonderful! The units location on Alii Drive made it a bit noisy if you weren’t used to road noise but otherwise the location is fantastic! We left a couple of boogie boards for the next family to use. Enjoy!!

Great complex but this unit is in the worst location!

We have stayed in this complex before, but in a different building. This time we were right on Ali'i drive, the main road in the area. The traffic is loud, and woke me up between 6-7AM every morning, as the master bedroom windows face right onto the road, which is no more than 10-20 feet away. If you can, stay in another building. Other cons to this unit were that it wasn't that clean upon arrival, especially the kitchen, which was a bit grimy. It didn't really bother me but my mother-in-law is a bit of a clean freak and she was not satisfied at all. Also, the condo management firm sent the instructions for how to get in via separate email from their own email address, but that info was never updated in the App (it just said instructions would be sent in future), so when we arrived I was trying to use the App to get us there, but the info was not available, so bear this in mind. On the plus side, the views of the sunset were very nice as the view to the ocean is unobstructed by other buildings, and the unit is newly renovated and nicely furnished. This complex is very well maintained overall, and the pool area is nice. However, kids under 12 are not allowed in the hot tub, and the pool is not heated, so they were freezing pretty quickly. We had to sneak them in to warm up a few times or our visits to the pool would have been very short! There is also only one BBQ at the pool area to use-however it was not that busy. Many condos come with their own so make sure you check about this if you want to do a lot of BBQing. This unit also did not come with any beach amenities, so we had to buy our own beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and beach toys. It was actually cheaper to buy at Costco than to rent them. There is no access to the garage or any storage area either, which some units do provide, so make sure you ask about beach supplies and storage when you book something. We ended up just giving them away on the last day as we were not able to get a late checkout and our flight didn't leave until midnight, so we needed them that day and couldn't leave behind in the condo. The location is great for accessing Captain Cook and the south, and good for Kona generally, but the traffic is horrible getting out to Hapuna and the other boogie-boarding sandy beaches past Waikoloa - takes an hour to get there, so it's better to stay here if you like snorkeling, but further north for beach.

I would have given this a 5 star but there were a few things that definitely disappointed my wife and I. One thing it is operated by a rental management " Aloha Rentals" . I did not deal directly with the owner. I am sure the owner would not be happy with this review because it will hurt returners. The place is beautiful, the grounds are gorgeous and the location is fantastic. So the negative, well the master shower does not drain well and when I called to get it fixed I was told the contractor would get to it...so 9 days later and no fix. So my wife and I had to take showers in our own water- gross - 2nd negative, when I asked for beach chairs ( there are no beach gear at this place) I was told to go rent them...we ended up buying a couple of chairs . 3rd negative, they do not supply toilet paper so we had to go buy a package at wal mart- never had to do that before. 4th negative when i complained about one toilet not flushing properly I was told to go buy a plunger if i could not find one. So my advice is not to rent from any place that is operated by "Aloha Rentals" , sorry but whoever owns the condo you will eventually run out of renters unless you change management.

Broken AC, no cable, and roaches....

The condo itself is nice and has a nice view, but when we stayed, the AC was completely broken. Brad, the maintenance contact person, was hard to get in touch with and I had to call several times before getting any response. The condo also has a bit of a cockroach problem, so we had to keep all of our food (even dry goods) in the fridge and we kept the trash can outside as a precaution. Also, a few day into our stay, the cable completely went out (as if the bill hadn’t been paid), and the issue was never addressed even though I reported it to Brad. Luckily it was Hawai’i and we didn’t plan to watch much tv but it would have been nice for the kids in the early mornings (when they were up early because of the time change). We did receive a 20% refund because of the AC issue, which was appreciated, but doesn’t outweigh Brad’s communication failures during our stay. Overall, I would NOT stay here again or in another rental managed by this company. Another condo in the complex managed by a different rental manager would likely be a better choice.

Beautiful views of the ocean and sunset!

The townhouse was very nice/clean and comfortable. Amazing views of the ocean and the sunsets were incredible. Enjoyed our stay and would rent this property again.

We enjoyed our 4 week stay!

The property grounds are very well maintained and the pool is very nice! This is our second stay at Na Hale Keahou and would recommend to families and friends. Our only complaint is that the washer was broken the entire month we were here. Not too happy about it, but Brad had the cleaning staff pickup and launder the linens and towels weekly once we called him. Would have been much more convient to have done our own laundry for the month stay. it would also been nice to have our own BBQ, rather than using the community one located at the pool. Overall, our stay was great, condo in a great location, close to the beaches and the grocery store!
