Close to the waterfront and the city centre, in proximity of several lovely parks, you will love the ambience of the Battery Point village and surrounds. The modern, fully appointed townhouse makes a perfect base for tourists…. couples, family groups and single guests , and for business travellers you also have NBN and wifi. Streaming apps are available for you to log into.
It has front door parking and is a short 20 minute trip the airport!

This is a modern, light filled apartment with off street (front door) parking for two cars. We provide basic breakfast provisions, but you may prefer to sample the goods at one of dozens of local cafes. It will be the perfect soothing space to put up your feet of an evening with all the Smart TV has to offer. (You can log into your own Netflix, Apple TV, Stan, YouTube and more.)
The kitchen is fully equipped and offers a dishwasher, Nespresso pod machine, brand new full sized oven, combined convection/microwave oven and Smeg cooktop (which you will hardly need given your proximity to great dining!)

The two main bedrooms have queen beds with electric blankets, and both rooms are fitted with TV and blackout blinds. The third bedroom is a single and has an electric blanket and screen for streaming. While it is set up more for a young person than an adult, we have hosted plenty of groups of three 'singles'.

Professional linen service and botanical 'paraben free' toiletries and hairdryers are provided. There is a reverse cycle heat pump (heat and aircon) in the main living room, and an ‘ethanol’ fuelled fireplace.

Both the ensuite and main bathroom offer a 'walk in' shower, vanity and toilet, plus IXLtastic fan heaters and heated towel rails. There is a laundry with front loader wm as well as an airer and outdoor clothes line.
An additional toilet/powder room is downstairs.

You will find a collection of tourist information, featuring restaurants, other local attractions, tours and timetables e.g. MONA ferry.

With parking for two cars at the doorstep, the layout is over two levels with three steps at the front door and an internal staircase with rail, to access the bedrooms. The living area faces north, and opens into a private courtyard with a leafy garden. A key safe ensures you can arrive any time and gain entry using the code you will be sent. (For guests going in different directions, simply leave key in the locked safe so you all have access when required.)

I live very close by so only a phone call away if help is needed. Otherwise you are entirely independent.
If you need some grocery shopping done prior to arrival (children/particular dietary requirements), do not hesitate to ask for assistance as we will happily do a “click and collect” from the local supermarket.

Battery Point is Hobart's premier suburb, characterised by 'olde worlde' cottages, a pretty interesting history and a vibrant cafe scene. This apartment is modern, but positioned to take advantage of that charm and a whole lot more.

You can reach all of the city and wharf area on foot, and can manage perfectly well without a car. The airport bus stops within 100 metres.
For health professionals and academics, this property is ideally located between the university and the major hospitals. Business groups will also find this property great value.

The maximum number of authorised house guests at any time is FIVE.
There is NO leeway for having extra guests on-site and this may lead to immediate cancellation of the booking.

The property is comfortably set up for 5 persons and is for the use of registered house guests ONLY (unless otherwise agreed).

Unauthorised overnight visitors will attract a charge of $50 per person/night, payable by the registered guest.

This property is NOT available to locals eg for parties or family events/gatherings/hens/bucks/wedding prep/birthday celebrations. The owner reserves the right to cancel any booking that breaches this condition. The guest will forfeit all payments made, and the visit terminated. Use of a security company (if required) will be at the guests expense.

PIN for key box is for registered house guests only, and not to be shared.

There is a wall mounted outward facing Ring doorbell with inbuilt webcam for security purposes.

If guest profile photo is an animal/cartoon, proper photo ID may be requested to ensure the booking is not for a ‘third party’.
This property is not a party house under ANY circumstances.
Only houseguests in the original booking are to be onsite unless otherwise discussed.
Extra guests (even overnight) are to be paid for.
Only one infant per booking and a portacot is available. Babies are to be counted in the total number.
An Airbnb approved doorbell motion sensor does monitor the front porch for security purposes.
Guests may be CHARGED for towels and face washers stained with make up and other products (tanning lotion, dyes) .
Guests have access to a SmartTV (living room). When logging into your personal streaming services, please also remember to log out of your account to avoid future guests gaining access.
Property has timer controlled heated towel rails. Please DO NOT adjust these from existing settings (6-10am and 6-10pm) or bypass them as the appliances are not designed to run continuously.

Fantasic Location.

This was my second visit to Maxines property. It's an excellent location and close to all amenities. We walked to Salamanca Markets and the waterfront. We loved every minute of our visit to Hobart, and having fantastic accommodation makes it even better. Maxine has always been very helpful. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Homely and Relaxing

Ticks all round for a most wonderful apartment: proximity to Salamanca area-walking distance, extremely well maintained and appointed accomodation, comfortable beds, Thankyou for the kitchen goodies. Despite some reviews heating and cooling are available and most adequate for the whole apartment. You do need to be comfortable with internal stairs which are manageable with suitcases if you are. House in Hobart

We so enjoyed our stay at the Vrbo in Hobart, it was excellent. The host Maxine told us about a local festival to attend and we loved it! The house was super comfortable and very centrally located. Lots of good information on cites to see. i highly recommend this property.

Excellent hosts, very nice townhouse with good location.

We stayed here for three nights during our first visit to Hobart. The hosts were lovely and communicative and gave us a real feeling of being welcomed. The property is a spacious 3 bedrooms with a large and beautifully-landscaped terrace. Kitchen is very well stocked and hosts left us bread, butter and milk on arrival. This would be a great base of operations for a group of up to 5 with big sitting space, nice dining table, books, games, etc. Location is unbeatable. It’s in the Battery Point area just a few blocks from cafes, bakeries, and restaurants. Another couple of blocks is the Salamanca market street which is a huge scene on Saturday but also houses dozens of bars and restaurants week-round. Adjacent to that is the harbor with more choices and the ferry to MONA and other destinations. It has two parking spaces at front door. Just a couple of things to be aware of. There is no central heat or cooling. There is a very good wall-mounted heat pump in main living space downstairs so that area is absolutely climate-controlled. But bedrooms only have one radiator in upstairs hallway that is on a timer. Beds all have electric blankets for very cold weather. If it were hot they might be uncomfortable to sleep in but we were there in autumn and had no problem at all. There is a washing machine but no dryer. The provided drying rack was fine for a medium load if you have time to let things dry out. There is also a rack and pins on patio. Just a lovely stay and highly recommend!

Exceptional property. Very tidy,well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. Checkin was well organised and communication was easy to follow. Location was a bonus. Easy walk to Salamanca for food, markets and shopping. Excellent cafes a few minutes walk in Battery Point.

Wonderful Battery Point townhouse

The townhouse was very roomy for 2 couples with 3 baths, 2 double BRs and 1 single BR. Fully eqipped kitchen allowed cooking, although we ate out most meals ( using our host Maxine's excellent restaurant recommendations). We appreciated the Nespresso machine with sufficient pods for our 4 night stay. The kitchen also had some basic spices, oil and vinegar so we didn't need to buy these. Our host Maxine was very attentive, dealing with a minor issue swiftly and effectively. The Battery Point location was perfect for exploring central Hobart on foot, and for easy access to drive to more distant destinations. We would stay in this townhouse again if returning to Hobart.

Best second home

Perfect location. Plenty of good restaurants & coffee shops within 10-15 mins walking distance. Especially to Salamanca market & the wharf. Even the city centre. Maxime’s attention to details makes the apartment feels homey. Even a timer to switch on the light in the lounge in the evening just like my own home.
