The Escape is a 2,750 square foot chalet on a quiet 5 acres just five minutes from Stowe village and 15 minutes from ski lifts. The home offers four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a deck with mountain views, a hot tub, a fireplace and all the essential amenities to ensure that you and your friends enjoy a wonderful and clean stay during your visit. The area is perfect for skiing, hiking, biking and visiting the local attractions including historic sites, renowned breweries, and restaurants.

The space
The clean and beautifully crafted mountain home is on a five-acre private property that offers an escape into Vermont's quiet nature. The large windows throughout the house offer a great deal of natural sun light. The home has many modern elements such as Sonos speakers, 4K TVs, 4K Apple TV, computer monitor, new furniture and high-speed internet, but the wood, stone and plants and the surrounding scenery also offer a very natural ambiance.

Guest access
The guests will be able to access the entire home except for one section of the basement that serves as a small shop and cleaning storage space.

The home is not suited for parties. Any damages or missing items will be enforced through the security deposit and any excess guests will be charged $125 per night, per guest. Indoor smoking will be charged the full security deposit. To help us protect the carpets and not scratch the hardwood floors, please take off shoes indoors at all times. These policies are designed to both help us protect the home we care about and to help us provide a quality experience for all of our guests.

Lovely stay in Stowe

Great house on a beautiful property, minutes from downtown Stowe. We went with several friends and their families and had a wonderful time. The house is fully equipped and perfect for comfortable fitting three families. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful family getaway

This house was so beautiful and perfect for our family. It was close enough to Stowe center but far enough away to enjoy the peaceful, beautiful mountain views on the deck. Ben could not have been more responsive and accommodating. We can't wait to go back!

Scenic VT getaway

The property is beautiful and a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Very accessible to Stowe and Waterbury. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the mountains and Cornhole by the pond!

Exceptional, Pristine Mountain Views Property

Everything about the property was well maintained, clean in fact spotless throughout. Great living space including a large kitchen leading to the dining room and well appointed living room. All with amazing views of the mountains in the distance. Quiet, remote location yet close to town and easy to take the back way to the mountain to avoid going through town. The owner communicated well, was flexible and provided an amazing property. I would definitely stay there again.

Old guys ski trip

Chose this property for the second annual ski trip with 3 friends I’ve had for over 50 years. House was perfect size for our group of 4 guys who like to ski, eat, drink wine & listen to music! Close to Stowe but private, beautiful location with great views, well designed & equipped kitchen, and great video/sound system. Would definitely stay there again!

Winter wonderland

Nicely designed and well-furnished home with a massive yard for our pup to run and play in the snow! Ben was very communicative and let us know about a temporary internet outage that was promptly resolved within a couple hours. The home is very clean and has everything you need for a lovely winter getaway. We didn’t go skiing this time, but it is close to the town of Stowe and the slopes. One thing to note, the home is down a long driveway that is not regularly paved, so when the host strongly recommended a four wheel drive, that is not a joke!

Refresh and relax nestled in the moutains

This home was even better than we expected. It is nestled in the mountains and is so quiet and peaceful. The rooms are all great sizes, and the kitchen is large enough to have a few people in their to help cook. The hot tub was a great added bonus, even in the summer. The property manager was great to get in contact with and was very quick to get back to me with any questions I had. Definitely going to let friends know about this spot. Hopefully I will be able to make it back there some day.

Had a wonderful summer time in Stowe, VT

Our stay was very enjoyable. There were a few hiccups during the week (nothing major), but the owner was VERY responsive and took care of everything in a timely manner. The house is very private with a very nice view and has a great layout!! The pictures do a great job showing what to expect on the inside! The outside pictures are also good, but they were taken some time ago (there is a lot more growth now)! The decor was very warm and inviting and everything inside was in great condition (from the windows to the furniture, etc.). The Stowe area is beautiful and the house is 5 minutes from the town of Stowe with shops and restaurants. Great location!

Great experience

This property is as beautiful as it is in the pictures. Great location, close enough to drive into downtown but far enough away to feel like you have your own space. Ben was very accomodating and welcoming. Quick to respond. Even followed up a day or two later to check in on how our stay went. Would come back and stay here for any visits to Stowe again in the future.

Beautiful, quiet and clean

This house was very clean and nicely equipped with everything we needed as a family of 7. Ben was very responsive; he answered our phone calls and texts and messages through VRBO right away, every time. The house has bedrooms on the top floor, one on the main floor, and one on the bottom floor, which was great for spreading out as a big family. The property is nice and private and quiet with a beautiful view.

Very responsive and accommodating host!

Our stay was wonderful. We had three different family groups - A family of 4, where the parents and the children stayed on the top floor, a grandparent on the main floor and another set of grandparents on the lower floor. Everyone had their own quarters and their privacy. There were a few small things that were not working (light bulbs that needed to be replaced, small issue with the hot-tub, batteries that needed to be replaced in the thermostat) and Ben was quick to reply, and correct the issues. He was also very open to allowing us to check out a little bit later, which was much appreciated. The house guidelines were clear, and the house was clean. Check in was a breeze. We would certainly return.

The perfect weekend getaway

We enjoy our yearly visit to Stowe with our children to get into the Christmas spirit. We always stay at this property. It has great amenities for a family- the hot tub, fireplace, and a big piece of property make it such a relaxing and fun getaway. The home is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a weekend away. We will be back again for sure!

Wedding weekend

Enjoyed our stay immensely! Minutes from downtown Stowe yet secluded, quiet and private! The home was warm and inviting, well furnished, though a few very minor things could use some love.... burnt out lightbulbs in the main living area, light switches that were slightly confusing, and we couldn't get the ambient lights in the boat in the living room to operate. Fabulous views, the hot tub was perfect and though we didn't speak directly with Ben - he was very helpful and responsive! Would highly recommend!

Peaceful nature get away

Our group of 3 couples thoroughly enjoyed our stay. at this lovely house. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out or join together. Ben was a great communicator and took care of us during our travel issues. The private wooded setting was very relaxing. There were deer and turkey roaming the yard and we star gazed in the hot tub after a day of hiking and exploring the area. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and it was wonderful having spices to cook with. We found the fireplace easy to use and the beds very comfortable. Stowe is a few miles down the road where we enjoyed a farmers market and delicious restaurants. This house is definitely a true gem.

Perfect ski house

This house was perfect for our extended family during our recent ski trip to Stowe. We had 3 families staying at the property, and the house allowed everyone to have their own space. Everything was new and updated, the beds were comfortable, the hot tub was a delightful bonus and felt amazing after a day of skiing. We loved the wood fire place and having cozy fires at night. The house was well stocked with essentials such as toilet paper, towels, dishes etc. The location was ideal, we were able to be at Spruce Peak in about 20 minutes in the morning for skiing. It was close to town and stores for shopping. Ben, the owner was very responsive to the few questions we had upon arrival. We have rented several vacation houses through VRBO and this one is probably our favorite, we would definitely rent from Ben again.

Beautiful home just outside Stowe!

The house was very nice and well stocked with games, spices, and kitchenwares. Everything we needed was provided. The grounds were gorgeous and fun to explore in the snow. Make sure you have snow tires or four wheel drive if visiting in the winter, that driveway is a doozy!

Beautiful well equipped home with incredible views

We had the most wonderful stay. The house was exactly as depicted. The owners were always available and attentive to us. The house was very clean and had everything you would need for your stay. Ben and Jess thought of everything and even left us a welcome letter and chocolates. No detail was left out to ensure we had a fantastic vacation. The house was private yet close to a grocery and the village of Stowe. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the incredible views and listening to the relaxing sounds of nature.
