Booked a VRBO not a hostel
As a VRBO host myself I see potential in this property, but we did not have a good stay. We did not get access information until we call VRBO and the host's phone wouldn't take messages. We got through to an alternate number a.nd finally gained access. At that point I was informed that it is a shared space, but we'd probably not have to share that weekend. About 1 am two young men rang the doorbell. I told them the place was rented already as I was not about to share when it was a VRBO.VRBO has delisted this place, so maybe the host and property manager will read this and make some changes.It needs: better communication, better cleaning with old food removed from the frig., a microwave oven, instructions on how to use the thermostat, a downstairs TV, previously washed towels so new towels are not scratchy, better curtains in bedroom to block sunlight and the streetlights, and kitchen towels. The host or property manager needs to actually live there for a few days to see what else it may need. On the positive side the locations is good, the immediate neighborhood feels safe, and the price seems reasonable for the whole house, not a shared space.
