Vaughn Lakeview Cottage is the perfect place to enjoy lake fun with your family or great comfortable place to ‘work from home” while providing local activities to provide relaxation during those well needed “down times’. Peaceful and serene feel is in the neighborhood with a playground, basketball court and pavilion that also provides a reading area for the avid reader. In addition the boat dock, pier and swimming area provide additional peaceful areas with cool breezes. Back at home, you'll have the outdoor porch, to take the sounds typical of the lake area at night. In addition, there is a covered deck for your dining enjoyment complete with a grill. The home is also located about 30 minutes away from Canton Trade Days which is a statewide event that is held every first Monday weekend. There you can find original treasures, food and good deals for the bargain hunter in the family. If your not a shopper, fishing is always available! Cedar Creek is also an hour away from Dallas, for the big city lovers. At home, you'll enjoy a refreshment and rest from a day of bargain shopping and get some lake time in to enjoy the perfect ending to a perfect vacay!

Magical Cabin

We rent this cabin annually and have never been dissapointed. Great location, clean and beautifully decorated. Must stay.

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay here. She had everything we could need and more in the home! The atmosphere coming into the home was relaxing and ready for guest. She was so nice. We will definitely be coming back again!

So Great We Came Back!

The lakeside cottage is so charming and beautifully located. Tucked away and private with easy access to the lake. It is minutes away for my brother's place across the lagoon, so is perfect for us when we have family gatherings out there.

Great Cottage

This is our second stay and it just seems to get better. It was decorated beautifully for the holidays. Clean, quite with a beautiful setting. This cottage is a must stay!

Lovely cottage!

We enjoyed our stay very much! It was comfortable, it was well decorated, and we felt quite at home. The bathrooms and kitchen were well supplied albeit small, and the space was used so well. The main bedroom was very spacious, and all our needs were anticipated. I would definitely go back!

Pumpkin Patch adventure

we didn't want to drive all the way home at night so we found a cozy perfect spot for the grand kids and fam. Love Love Love, beds comfy, kitchen just perfect for our short trip. All the thoughtful touches, made a short trip so nice !! The cool night quiet on the porch, the secret side porch, every little nook and space we used!! Yes I would love to stay again, OH and the Treats for the kidos they loved loved them...very thoughtful. Thank You, we loved the wine too especially.

Cute cabin

Owner has great attention to detail. Cabin is very well appointed. Everything you could need is provided. Easy check in and no long list of checkout procedures! Yippee! A few maintenance issues I made her aware of and a poor ac system upstairs that hopefully is remedied.

Lake View Cottage

My parents and I really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and beautifully decorated. Our host had a bottle of wine, glasses, and chocolates on the dinning table for our arrival. It was a gracious touch. The furnished front porch has a great view of the lake and was the perfect place to enjoy my morning coffee. There was a lot of thought put into the decor, lighting, linens, furniture, and all the spaces. It has a coffee bar, laundry room, and desk area. Who ever decorated this home thought of it all..even down to the night lights. My parents and I are already planning another trip. The only thing to be aware of are the stairs both outside and inside have a slightly steeper rise/run compared to today's stairs. Something for elderly or small children to be considered. Thank you Kelle for your hospitality.

Weekend getaway

Nice property, very clean and well stocked with essential items. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable king bed downstairs. Very relaxing and pleasant weekend. The only issue for us was proximity to lake for swimming. If you have a boat, the cottage is located close to a boat ramp. Swimming, laying out…recommended park within 10 min drive. Overall, I would highly recommend for a weekend getaway!

Cozy Cottage

This little cottage has been decorated to perfection making it cozy, quaint and so easy to enjoy. Our hosts thought of every detail in the kitchen so cooking was a breeze, the charcoal (provided) made our burgers and dogs delish, and the beds were all super comfortable and the bathrooms were fully stocked as well. The Roku TV worked well and the WiFi was user friendly. We used the neighborhood boat dock every day to launch jet skis and it was very nice. Also, we appreciated the information notebook, and I suggest reading it upon arrival because it definitely answers every possible question. This cottage rental is perfect for 4 adults and even a child or two. It’s a 10 for certain.

By nature, I am a caregiver, by trade a teacher. After retiring in 2012, I decided to try the real estate agent game, after a year, deciding that wasn't for me! After my daughter married in 2014, I decided wedding decorating and venue was my passion. My sweet, endearing and VERY talented niece, Tiffany became my partner in decorating wedding bliss. Between then and now, our family has had many changes including sickness, divorce and birth. I also became a mom again to my sweet grandson. Tiff (Tiffany) also became a mom, which solidified our mutual tasks of raising our boys. Their youth and enthusiasm has fueled our flame realizing that we can be moms and entrepreneurs all at the same time with a little wine and ingenuity and a whole lot of pinterests! We decided to take our journey here, to the vacay rental industry after my favorite property was again available for rent. I always had seen this place as a great vacation home. With it's tall ceiling and many windows, it's design and purpose seem to yell, "VACATION". With that came a labor of love with Tiff as my partner. We are excited for you to see our creation and are excited to serve you as our host!
