Welcome to Villa Nuupure, an elegant house located in Ma’atea, just 10 minutes from the ferry dock. This hidden paradise, nestled in the heart of an 8-hectare family property, will charm you with its privileged access to the Moorea lagoon and its private white sand beach, offering a breathtaking view of the island of Tahiti.
Sea lovers will appreciate the house’s ideal location, allowing them to enjoy pleasant swims in the crystal-clear lagoon waters.

Built in 2024, this beautiful 200m² house offers generous and comfortable living spaces, accommodating up to 5 people. Ideal for families and groups of friends seeking peace, privacy, and comfort. The carefully curated Polynesian decor adds a touch of elegance to every room.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a bright, open living area with a very high ceiling and large sliding glass doors that disappear to reveal the outside and its large covered terrace. This space invites you to enjoy outdoor meals and relax in tranquility with subtle views of the lagoon as a backdrop.

The living room combined with the kitchen benefits from excellent ventilation thanks to its opening onto the terrace. Both are tastefully furnished, creating a well-equipped space for your comfort: enjoy a flat-screen smart TV in the living room, Wi-Fi connection, a Bose Bluetooth speaker, and a poker set for your entertainment.
The kitchen, offering a lovely view of the mountains in the background, is equipped with everything you need to make your stay easier.

This house features two spacious master suites of 38m², carefully decorated and air-conditioned for your comfort. Each bedroom opens onto the terrace and has its own outdoor lounge area.
The two 25m² bedrooms are equipped with king-size beds (200x200) with new hotel-quality mattresses, ensuring optimal rest. They also feature elegant wooden furniture, including a dressing room and a large desk, as well as a flat-screen smart TV.

Each master suite has its own private 12.5m² bathroom (Master bathrooms), ensuring absolute privacy. In each of these bathrooms, you will find a large shower, a relaxing bathtub, double sinks, and toilets, providing all the necessary comfort.

To allow you to fully enjoy the private beach located next to the house, a canoe-kayak is at your disposal for lagoon rides. Additionally, the property is accessible to shallow-draft boats.

You also benefit from a laundry room equipped with a washing machine and a dryer for added convenience.

We thought this was a 5 star beachfront property. It is NOT. It is not on “a private beach located next to the house”. There is a partially constructed house between it and the water. The view is peek-a-boo through the car port of that house. The small beach is open to the public and the water is too shallow for swimming. No one would describe this as a “hidden paradise on 8 hectare property”. It is one of about 6 houses, on city sized lots. It is surrounded by an unappealing cement and wood fence. It is not landscaped. Despite being described as built in 2024, there is considerable wear and tear, including broken cabinet handles, worn furniture and most seriously, the laminate floor has delaminated and is coming off in chunks, causing a risk of injury to anyone walking on the floor in bare feet. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned. The main part of the house is not. This makes for a stifling interior, even with the bedroom air cons on full. We asked for a fan, and fortunately were provided with one, as we could not have stayed without it. Although the photos depict the doors wide open, in reality the doors must be shut at all times to keep out insects, birds and the heat. Finally, as mentioned by the previous reviewer, the house is woefully supplied-no dishwasher, no sink plug, 1 tea towel (we were given more on request), no dish cloth (just a dirty sponge), no pot lids, no dust bin, etc. The rental does have nice bedrooms and bathrooms but we don’t recommend it.

Terrible experience

This review is intended to help future guests avoid the disappointing experience we had with this property. We checked out after just one day due to the following issues:•No Potable Water: A basic necessity that was completely unavailable.•Misleading Advertisements: There was no private white sand beach or view of Tahiti, despite these being key selling points.•House Condition:oThe kitchen was poorly equipped, with minimal tools, plastic forks, used sponges, and a dirty oven. There were no lids for the few pots and pans.oOne toilet had a mismatched seat, making it uncomfortable to use.oThe kitchen floor was deteriorating.oThe garden was neglected, filled with rocks, unusable, and bordered by a broken fence shared with the neighbor.oThere was no fan in the living room, leaving the space uncomfortably hot.oThe manual gate did not lock, posing security concerns.Additionally, the owner failed to communicate through the VRBO chat timely and refused to offer any refund.This experience has been deeply disappointing, and we hope this review prevents others from encountering similar issues.
