Great location in the mountains!

Sweet Water lodge was the perfect place to stay for our time in North Carolina. Jason was a great host and very responsive to any questions we had. I would recommend staying here!

I stay at VRBO or BnB all the time. I take notes the whole time. Obviously, none are perfect but this one is close to my wants and expectations to include a beautiful view in the morning. 1. Usually when you stay far out, the roads can be a challenge. This is paved to the front door. 2. Often pet friendly houses smell like pet friendly. That was not the case. Every corner was clean and clean smelling. My wife brings our own sheets and pillows, but we had no reservations about using the ones here. 3. Lots of TVs and I checked the wifi on fast.com. It was over 500 mbs. The gas fireplace quickly heated the house. All the appliances were Samsung and fully functional. 4. A couple minor questions to manager were answered in a timely manner. 5. Bottom Line: We would definitely want to go back if we are in the area again.

Awesome property!

The property was clean, had 3 beds (2 king & 1 queen) in 3 separate floors - each with a clean bathroom nearby, kitchen amenities (dishes, utensils, dishwasher/fridge/microwave/coffee maker), a gas fireplace and a beautiful view. Check-in was after 4 pm and check-out was by 11 am. Host was very nice and responsive to any questions we had. We really enjoyed our stay here and would gladly return in the future.

Review of stay 10/26/23-10/29/23

The house was nice. If I was staying longer I would have liked to have had the windows, ceiling fans and both patio areas cleaned as we couldn’t enjoy the view through windows as they were pretty dirty as well as outdoor space but we weren’t at house to much it wasn’t a huge issue. Ceiling fans were nasty. Also not sure when checkout time was changed from 11:00 am to 10:00 am also not a huge issue.

Mountain getaway

We were looking for a last minute trip to the mountains, we found this lovely cabin and had a great time! Plenty of room for our family… Really enjoyed our coffee on the porch. Get your groceries in town before you head up the Mountain, it’s a good bit out of town. We enjoyed walking down the mountain to the waterfall and stream at the community area. And the Kerr lake lake we rented a pontoon boat and did some tubing, the kids favorite day! Nice to get away from it all ontop of the mountain.

Nice place

The cabin was very clean but is definitely not handicap friendly. But it’s not the owners fault. We had paid for another cabin that was one level and a flat yard along with a hot tub and rushing stream. Three days before our trip we get an email stating that the cabin was unavailable and this cabin was the only other rental open. We were going to a family wedding and couldn’t change our reservations. My sister and I both have walkers and this cabin has no railings on the steps. It took 2 people to get us up and down the steps. The flood lights didn’t work and the driveway is very narrow. The home also needs to be sprayed for insects.

Quick Mountain Visit

I needed a short notice place to stay over the weekend with my family. We had a great visit and it met all of our needs. The home is beautiful and the sunrise views were incredible. The property manager was great from beginning to end. I highly recommend this property for stays of all lengths in the area. BTW, do yourself a favor and visit Dixie Doughnuts while you are there--it is a must!

Great Thanksgiving Getaway

We loved our stay! The house was great for us (5 adults and 3 kids). It was very clean and the view was great! Jason was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. Would definitely stay here again.

Exactly like the photos show!

The cabin was exactly as described and we really enjoyed our stay. Make sure you purchase groceries before you get there as it is a 25-30 mins from the supermarket. This cabin is up the mountain and takes about 15 mins from the main road but worth the trip! The host quickly responded when we had a question and helped us out. We enjoyed our stay in this cozy, quiet, homey, cabin and would stay again when in the area.

Nice cabin far from the crowds.

Great house, very clean and comfortable. The water stopped working in the faucet and toilet in the basement but other than that everything was fine. The house is a long drive from anything, so be prepared to spend time in the car going to and from.

Wifi Cable Ugh

Notified at the last minute that cable and wifi were out and they would be fixed by day 2 or 5. Later notified they were out and nothing could be done. Too late to make alternate arrangements so went ahead as alread oaid full amount. Cell hotspot was inadequate and could not link to tv. (would have loved watching some football games and had planned on doing so. Communication and responsiveness from host was great, but honestly not used to this from VRBOs. Second recommendation would be to advise that grill was charcoal and no charcoal included.

A Time With The Lord!!!

My friends and I had a wonderful fellowship together! Everything was PERFECT at the cabin. It was the perfect place for a group of friends to gather, lots of space and the bed rooms were separated on different floors for privacy. Everyone will have great memories !!!

Beautiful

The property was perfect. We are four friends who came to enjoy time together in the mountains. The kitchen and dining area (and bbq grill) were perfect for all our dining needs. All was very clean. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed lots of time together in the main living area and on the porch - such a beautiful view. In the evenings we sat around the fire pit. Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful place. All of us were interested in someday using it again.

Weekend stay for our dayghter’s wedding at Big R Orchard

We had a wonderful time staying at this lodge. The house and property were everything listed and more. The view from the upstairs was absolutely amazing!!! Wish we could have stayed longer. The bagels and juice left for us was such a sweet surprise. We brought our Boston Terrier and they had even left two dog bones for her in special dog bowls. Thanks so much for allowing us to stay. I’d highly recommend this lodge.

Mountain getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin with our dog, Enzo. It was the peace and quiet we needed with a beautiful view!! The cabin was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed and more. We definitely recommend it and would stay here again!

Perfect, Mountain Retreat!

The house and grounds are beautiful. I felt extremely safe: it is a gated community; and the hosts live right next door (but there is plenty of space in-between). So the hosts kindly responded within a couple of minutes when I embarrassingly had a problem locking the front door on my way out to dinner. (The problem was on my end: I simply wasn't turning the lock far enough.) The kitchen was well-stocked with every dish and utensil you could ever need. All the appliances are new and modern. The hosts added nice "extras" like coffee pods, juice, bagels & cream cheese. Another thoughtful touch is that the many light and fan switches are all labeled. Living room is well set up for game nights and movie nights; but I like to be outside as much as possible. The location is secluded enough to be oh-so-quiet; but you can be down the mountain and in town in under 25 minutes. What makes this property extra special are the large and well-placed windows, so there are gorgeous views at all time. But the best view is just sitting on the deck, drinking coffee in the morning. There are also cool string lights around the yard near the fire pit. Please note the house is near the top of a mountain and on well water. I found the water pressure in the shower just fine; but if you are like some flat city-dwelling friends of mine who prefer firehose-like pressure, it may not be to your liking. I really hope to book this property when I return next year (or sooner)!
