Not as advertised

Pulling up to this property had me in tears. The outside looked dilapidated. I was horrified. The entry into the garage via the narrow alleyway was challenging to navigate. Upon entering the house I could smell that the cleaning crew had been there but the unit was not clean. The linens and curtains were stained. There was a hole in the curtain leading to the patio. The patio furniture was not clean. There were holes in the ceiling. The stairs are not safe. There was a dirty sock in one of the closets. The refrigerator was stained. The bathrooms were extremely small and dated and smelled of sewage. And you could hear every conversation of anyone walking by. The next door neighbors had a party that went well into the next morning. Not even close to as advertised.

Not Clean

The floors were filthy. No one wanted to walk around barefoot. While the bathrooms were clean, the kitchen counter had a layer of grime. There were no cleaning supplies in the unit, only ant and roach spray. The unit was run down. There were some utensils but only three forks in the kitchen. No soap in the downstairs bathroom. The towels felt like sandpaper. The shower head in the bathroom made it send water onto the floor. We used just the master shower, which was clean but very run down. We were in one of a group of 4 units. My family stayed in two other units which were much nicer - cleaner, better-furnished. Be careful which one you rent. Check out instructions for the morning arrived at 12:30 a.m. the night before departure. The location was great but I will never rent with this owner again.

The two car garage was awesome. We loved the entire space. The bedrooms were really nice. We found lots of good eats and drinks.

Convenient location, listing was not as described

A comfortable stay within walking distance of many bars, shops and restaurants. I enjoyed having garage parking as an option as well. My complaint was that a hot tub was advertised on this listing and there’s no hot tub. Additionally the bathrooms could use a facelift. The master bathrooms shower was on a slant so standing in the tub can be a little nerve wrecking. The guest bathroom shower was no better, at least re-spackle the bathroom and look like you tried to make it a comfortable shower experience. The rest of the stay was amazing. Thanks for a great trip!!

Great Location

Perfect location for exploring the bars and areas around Montrose. We walked everywhere we went except for one lunch that was a little farther away. The unit itself was good too. Nice living room downstairs with the bedrooms and full baths up stairs. I did not realize there was an additional half bath down stair when booking so this was a great surprise when first checking in.

Great stay!

The pics of the unit are accurate. It’s a well laid out townhome with lots of room. Very cool vibes that match the neighborhood. We arrived at midnight on a Friday and the neighborhood was buzzing with night life. But with your own garage & gated front porch, your privacy is secure. We were in town for the livestock show but I’d come back just to enjoy the walkable neighborhood that’s been and is being revitalized. It’s pet friendly too.

Sleeps 6 with only 3 plates

The floors were black with dirt, the foyer chandelier looked like it had never been cleaned, there were no blankets, no serving dishes, no bowls, only 3 dinner plates & 3 salad plates yet advertised “sleeps 6”. Very disappointed in the house. Loved the Montrose area.

The Montrose Gem

I visit Houston frequently. Montrose happens to be one of my favorite areas. This dwelling is perfectly matched for the area. Spacious yet cozy. In the heart of all the fun and isolated enough to enjoy quiet evenings l. The host and his team were accommodating at every step. If nothing else, the outdoor space on the first floor is magnificent!
