Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It's exactly as pictured and is very quiet, clean, and private. The memory foam mattress is super comfy. Lots of natural light and the kitchen and bathroom were nicely remodeled. My husband and I were visiting for Salem's Halloween festivities, which were only a mile away. Everything is walkable! There's a convenience store and a coffee/bakery just a block away. We weren't able to use the TV in the living room because the firestick wasn't working. We tried troublshooting and notified the host, but it stayed frozen on the startup screen. The TV in the bedroom worked fine though, so we used that. Hopefully, they'll fix it for the next renters. Parking details were not clearly communicated to us before we got there. The instructions were to park on the street during the day and in the attached driveway at night. However, during October, street parking is for residents only. When we messaged the host, they initially suggested we park in a parking garage during the day, which is pay-to-park and a mile away. This was obviously not ok with us because the listing states there's on-site parking. Luckily, after a couple message exchanges, we were later told we could park in the driveway the whole time. It appeared to us that the manager and owner needed to clarify with eachother that the driveway is reserved for guests in October. We were relieved the host was able to resolve this quickly; they were very nice and quick to respond.

Cute place but terrible check in process

After booking we were sent the address for our stay. Prior to check in, the host sent the “full address” for our stay which was a different address than the first time. We get to the address that they sent most recently sent as “full address” walk in the door to find people are staying there. There was no contact info given to us to be able to call anyone if we had an issue. So we messaged them here and called the number that was on the guest info packet at the place we were incorrectly sent to. Par for the course, the number listed isn’t even up to date and the person who has that number no longer works for the booking agent. We did message on the app immediately but never got a response until 20-30 minutes later. Finally, we were told they sent us the wrong address. We get to the correct place and think the issues are finally over, we were wrong. We were never given the front door code and again found ourselves waiting 20+ minutes before getting a response. A fellow person staying in another room at the house saw us waiting and gave us the code, get to our room and it’s unlocked which we thought was weird but were glad to get in since we were not given any codes. Come to find out the lock/key code on the door was dead. We found batteries in the apartment and got that working but still didn’t have a code. We had to leave to not miss a tour we booked, it wasn’t until 2 hours after our check in time we received all the info to get in.We were offered nothing.
