En dröm som går i uppfyllelse! Stig ut Lanai och på en härlig sandstrand! Om du letar efter en avkopplande semester är detta platsen! Tillbringa dagen med att njuta av solen eller leka i vågorna. På kvällen kan du sitta och titta på spektakulära solnedgångar från din Lanai. Hoppa tillbaka och titta på en film eller bara snuggla och lyssna till havet på stranden från din säng.

Dessa lägenheter ligger på Turtle Beach, bredvid Lahilahi, mellan Waianae och Makaha på ön Oahu. Detta är ett utmärkt ställe att varva ner, men uppmärksamma att detta inte är ett hotell eller en utväg. Detta är en privat bostad belägen i en byggnad med andra privata bostäder. Vi ligger cirka en timmes bilresa från Honolulu flygplats.

Dessa lägenheter totalrenoverades i december 2011. Nya möbler, apparater, skåp, bänkskivor i granit, dusch med brickor, golv - allt! En full storlek dölj-en-säng finns också.

Wonderful View

We made a trip to Oahu to take our father who served in the military 50 years ago, we stayed 3 days, and enjoyed our stay at the condo, it had everythong we needed and the beach is amazing!

Amazing

This is a GREAT place to relax and do nothing but enjoy the beach and sunsets. We have been coming to this beach since 1993 and never disappointed. The condo is perfect.

Best beach on Oahu

It’s a beautiful place. Far from the city lights, quiet evenings, only the sound of the waves and a star-filled sky. Soaking in the ‘Aloha’ all day and night. The condo provides the perfect environment.

Awesome vacation...just what was needed.

The Makaha Beach Cabanas is a great place to unwind. My husband and I have been going here for 20+ years. The reason is the seclusion. We want a 'beach vacation'. We are not interested in 'night life' as there is none on the West End of the island. If you want 'night life' or 'shopping', Honolulu/Waikiki is the place. The unit was more than we had hoped for. The beach access is perfect. The unit is equipped with everything you need; including laundry soap which was nice to have on hand. Thank you for sharing your unit. I hope it will be available again next year as this is where we will be. Mahalo

Makaha is the best for total relaxation

We have been to all the islands, and always come back to Makaha; it has changed over the years. The peace, quite, solitude and locals mean everything to us. There is no night life so you need to understand that; you would need to go to North Shore or Honolulu and the drive could prove stressful due to traffic. This location is for those that just want to spend time on the beach and do absolutely nothing. During our stay, there was a power outage for 6 hours. The stars were just beautiful, it was total darkness...except for those annoying lights from the Princess next door. Hard to believe that my ancestors looked in the sky and could find their way in the vast ocean. Those homes on the beach lit their tiki-torches and it was like heaven. We will be back...thank you so much for sharing your home and Aloha.

Great place

My husband and I just got back from spending 3 nights at the Makaha Beach condo and had a great time. We were a little concerned after driving through a not-so-great part of town to get there but the condo itself and the beach is totally fine. There is only this condo and a slightly taller one next door so the beach wasn't crowded at all. The lack of AC didn't bother us at all since there was always a breeze being right on the beach. It was so nice to be able to walk back and forth between the beach and condo for drinks or to grab lunch. We had everything we needed there - towels, chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc. and that came in handy. We did have a slight moth issue and had to kill over 50 moths during our stay but it could have been a worse bug. We found the breeding spot in some old flour and put that in the dumpster but the damage had already been done with some already hatched. We made a game out of who could swat and kill the most. Overall our stay was very pleasant. I will say there is NO good place that we found to eat around the condo so you will be cooking unless you eat at one of the 4 fast food places nearby. The grocery store isn't far and we found what we needed. Just remember that this place is not in the 'touristy' part of Oahu but has a great beach and the water is fantastic!

Place has complete amenities . Very comfortable and right on a beautiful, no crowd beach. Stayed 3 months with family and could have stayed for even more. Definitely five plus star vacation hideaway.

Bucket list vacation

My wife’s bucket list was to spend a month in Hawaii on the beach. Check it off the list. We had a great vacation! Great location and such a beautiful beach. 5 stars!

Makaha is the best

My husband and I just love staying in Makaha. The condo is perfect for the two of us. The beach is spectacular; listening to the waves at night is soothing. The condo has everything you need and you can feel safe. There is a back sliding 'gate' that locks; so when you go onto the beach you can lock it and know your items are safe as well.

Great place to stay on a beach far from the tourists

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this awesome condo. It is nicely decorated, comfortable and had everything we needed.The kitchen was well stocked so we could cook at home. We really appreciated the snorkels, beach chairs and boogie boards that were provided. We really enjoyed reading on the lanai and stepping out onto the sand to watch the sunsets. It is an hour drive to Honolulu which was fine with us because we wanted to be away from the tourists. We would definitely stay here again. Mahalo.

Relaxing! Wonderful and friendly Community. Great local Food.

We loved it here in Makaha. The Condo is easy to get to and a great treasure....away from the busy city. The location....heavenly paradise and right on the beach! The local community is wonderful and the people are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Comfortable-We already booked another stay!!

My husband and I had a great two month stay here. The unit was perfect! The condo was very comfortable, spacious, clean and full of amenities. The owner has seriously thought of everything, there were beach chairs, snorkels, boogie boards, beach toys, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The lanai was enjoyed in the mornings and evenings and we loved listening to the ocean and watching the whales. We have already arranged to stay for three months next year! The owners are great to work with and we could not have asked for a more perfect experience!

Loved this little piece of paradise

This condo was clean, no bugs. the condo is well stocked with everything you need kitchen appliances, lots of towels, beach chairs, water toys and a very comfortable bed. We loved sitting on the beach relaxing and watching whales and turtles swimming by. We have no complaints and would highly recommend this condo.

Loved the sounds of the ocean day and night!

Very comfortable, modern, clean, and best of all; extremely convenient being on the ground level. My kids had easy access to the beach and since we cooked most our meals, it was also convenient not having to take any elevators when hauling stuff in. Lots of convenient items at your disposal, and water toys for everyone's enjoyment. One thing that I would have made this experience more enjoyable is having AC. Coming from a cold climate, the humid heat felt unbearable at times and very uncomfortable. There is a breeze that blows through, but when it's not blowing, the ceiling fan is blowing hot air on you. The stregth of the ceiling fan felt like it was on low although it was on the highest speed. Also take into account, this was during the month of July, so probably one of the hottest time of the year which would definitely make AC necessary! :-) Other then that, great place to stay, easy to work with the owners and very responsive and nice.

Great Little Hide-away

Wonderful place to hide from the hustle and bustle of Oah'u!! Beach area was perfect, water was cool and clear. Enough toys in the beach chest, noodles, snorkeling gear. The condo itself is very practical, full size fridge, when you get food, go light on the condiments, there's plenty left from previous visitors. I did visit the local stores, I'm not real picky, so I was able to find everything I needed within a couple miles of the condo. Do watch the parking spots, the stall lines are painted a too close. If you are going to go to the Honolulu area, plan your drive around rush hour(s). If you're needing quiet time away.... This. Is. The. Place...!!!

Always amazing!

My husband and I have stayed at this beautiful condo twice. It is absolutely beautiful. The owners are very attentive and take pride in this place and it shows in every detail. Besides the amazing views and the near secluded beach, the inside of the condo is well maintained and updated with everything you'd need in a home away from home vacation. There is nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the waves and then waking up to an amazing sunrise while drinking a cup of coffee on the balcony only feet from the ocean. I daydream of coming back to this place all the time. A bonus is the gated secured parking. Love that. The condo is just far enough away from the crowds of the big cities that it feels like its a secret hideaway. Coming back to the condo after a day of excursions and sitting on the beach is so amazing and relaxing. What else can I say. I love this place. Thank you for sharing this place with us!

Wonderful!!

You step from your bedroom to the lanai. And from the lanai you step. TO THE BEACH!! We fell asleep to the waves and awoke to them too. A few nights the waves were so loud they woke us up. No complaints. To the contrary, it was awesome. Stay here. You will love it.

West Oahu Beauty

I stayed in this beautiful condo for the entire month of April and loved every minute of it. The condo itself is nicely set up and has everything you need. It was recently remodeled so everything is newer and in working order. Considering it is on the beach, i found the condo to be clean with hardly any bugs. I am a clean freak and even after cleaning up, by the end of the day with the wind and the sand there would be dust on the counters (which is normal in Hawaii). So i think some of the other reviews were maybe from folks that are not used to being in a beach environment. What sets this place apart is the beach. You step right out the door onto the beach! The beach itself is one of the best on Oahu. It is kind of tucked away, so there are never many people and is very clean (please help keep it that way). At night you can hear and when the swell is big feel the waves. I was lucky enough to see turtles, fish, outrigger canoes races and whales right from the lani. The sunsets are amazing. West Oahu is a treat to be hold. It's not Honolulu (thank god); more like Hawaii 40 or 50 years ago. If you show the locals respect, you get it back in spades (remember it is their islands). I surfed and bodyboarded with Dino and Nate, the local boys on the beach. If you say hello, they welcome you right in. The owner of the condo was great to deal with. Because i was there for work she was more than willing to work with me on having items shipped to myself. The next time I am on Oahu, I will be looking to see if this condo is available. Nice Place, Great Stay

We found this beach front condo to be exactly what we were looking for. We had stayed 2 nights in Waikiki, but then traveled to Makaha for the remaining 5 days of our vacation. Our friends rented the unit next door which is also owned by the same people. It was great to have privacy but be next to our friends. When we first arrived at the condo we did notice a few tiny moths flying about, with a fly swatter we were able to take care of that problem on the first night, and had no other bug issues. I assume they are from the Screen Door not working correctly, as a previous renter mentioned. The screen door would not stay closed when we arrived, upon further inspection the track near the magnet was filled with sand and debris. After cleaning that out the screen worked well except for when it was windy out. This condo supplied us with ample towels, hand soap, and anything else we needed. I loved the toys that were available on site. We got great use of the boogie boards and floating noodles. There were also plenty of other toys we ended up not using, but it was wonderful to have all the options and not have to worry about buying or renting them. We were there when the weather was really hot (85-95 deg) and not too many trade winds, I think an A/C unit would have made our stay a little more comfortable. Overall a great place that appeared to be well cared for and maintained. We were able to make several day trips out to locations that were not too far from the condo; Pearl Harbor (FYI, you don’t need to pre-book. We ended up walking around and visiting the Arizona Memorial which was free), The North Shore, The Dole Plantation, and Waikiki. Traffic was not the best so if possible try to avoid rush hour, if you can avoid rush hour, traffic was not a problem. Thank you!

Good and bad....

I was drawn to this unit because of the cute turtle theme but; Here is a list of what we found..... Sand, dead cockroaches and balls of hair under the couch. Sand on the hide-a-bed mattress when we pulled it out. A little scary to sleep on anyway after what was under the couch. The fridge was dirty with hairs that did not belong to us Dried blood on the microwave tray from defrosting something. Stains on the bedspread We had to keep all our food in the fridge because of the bug problem. Every dish had to be washed before using also. The cooler had a broken handle The screen door would not stay shut, it's on a magnetic roller We were left with half a bottle of watered down hand soap in the bathroom, same with the dish soap in the kitchen. This place is managed by a rental company and when I contacted them on the second day to ask about doing laundry and mentioned what I found under the couch she totally disregarded anything I said and just addressed the laundry question. Maybe they just need to get a new cleaning lady. It is a beautiful place with a awesome view but the expectations and competition on VRBO etc is higher these days than it used to be. I have a rental and it is nicer than the house I live in! To be fair here are the good things Great view with nice access to beach Sun umbrella, boogie boards, snorkel gear, etc The staff was very friendly. The Kuerig and the blender were awesome, but rinse before using. The vacuum to clean Some things about the general area to be aware of.... Roosters Lots of barking dogs Our rental car got keyed in the parking lot Locals were not very friendly Traffic on the whole island was horrible.

Great Stay!!!

We loved our stay here. It was great to walk right out on the beach and not have to fight for place to set your beach chair. Kitchen was well set up and stocked with the little things you might forget about till you need them. Awesome Vacation!

My husband and I live in Alaska, so being able to get away to Hawaii in the winter is a necessity! We have 2 young boys, who love playing at the beach.

My husband and I fell in love with this location when we rented a unit in this building. Lucky for us, this one was for sale and we bought it and completely renovated it in 2011. We are so excited to be able to share this special place with others. It's a great place to come and unwind.

This place is an hour drive from the hustle and crowds of Waikiki. If you're looking for nightlife and crowded streets, this is not the place for you. It's very low key and local. It's perfect to wake up with the sun and take an early morning walk along the beach each morning! Just open your lanai door and go! No big planning or packing for the beach each day. Just walk out your door with your towel and you are there!
