Great spot

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great spot for two families. The community beach and pool were a great spot for little kids and a good way to keep things fresh vs going to the ocean beach every day. Although the sound looks calm in the pictures, keep in mind it doesn't stay like that. The sound is still a good place for a quick swim for teenagers and up. The view from the deck is incredible and even better than the pictures can capture.

Sounds Good as the name

This time my new husband, +1 son and mom in love occupied Sounds Good. It’s in a gated community with plenty of space and amenities that you only have to go to the ocean side, if you want to!

2023 Sounds Good

Relaxing Gem

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed ourselves in Sounds Good we spent a week here and loved it! My kids were able to swim, fish and crab out back of the house so it was a nice change from running the entire time. Only thing I wished there was maybe more detailed information on where the beach and pool were located in the community.. but other than that the house was fully stocked with cooking utensils, the coffee pot has its own built in filter.. the place is so nice.. we will probably stay here again in the future!

Gillade: Renlighet, incheckning, kommunikation, plats och annonsens riktighet

Great first time to the OBX area.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Sounds Good location. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed for the week (plus more). We had plenty of room for our family (6 adults and 1 toddler). We had a perfect view of the sound and the neighborhood felt very safe. The communication from the realty office was great and we felt welcomed from the get-go. I’d highly recommend using this company or staying at one of their rentals when visiting the area.

Great vacation

Only complaint was beds were very firm. So we didn’t sleep well all week other wise house was great and worked for us 6.

Needs Work

While it had good bones, there were so many issues with overall cleanliness and upkeep. The flooring in the bedrooms and bathrooms should be replaced, along with the tub liner in the main bathroom. There was hair, that was not ours, everywhere. All of the furnishings were old and dated. The dryer did not blow out warm air and was not fixed, even though we called about it. I would not ever stay in this home again (even though I loved being on the sound), nor would I recommend it to others.

You get what you pay for

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful views and that's the good news. Lawn and shrubs were wildly overgrown. The driveway was a mud pit and full of ruts. The porch and carport lights were out. The furniture was dated and thrift store looking. The bed matresses were hard and "EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE" and the TV was an old tube model. The house was clean and in working condition. Kitchen appliances were nice. Enjoyed crabbing and fishing on the dock in the back yard. Also enjoyed the back deck. The house seemed to be a working progression. Feel with a few upgrades like "BEDDING" and furnishings along with lawn and driveway improvements, this property would be a first class summer rental.

Soundviews - 1557 Stayed 7/415-7/11-15

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pictures for this home are very deceiving. They make the home look much bigger and do not show any of the damage or all the clutter in this home. You walk in and feel like you need to scrub the place down. The home has holes in the wall and a lot of damage to the doors from previous dogs. There are cob webs full of bugs that you can tell have been there for a while. The door knobs on the front and back door are extremely testy and they don't want the bolt lock to be used as it was stuffed with aluminum foil. The driveway is horrendous when it rains. It floods and it wouldn't be so bad to deal with the water if it wasn't covered in gunk and the foliage was trimmed back on the sides. The backyard also completely floods with about 2 inches of water. It says there are two queen beds, they are only full beds. The futon is absolutely disgusting so one of our guest sleep on the couch. It says it sleeps 8 people, but you would be on top of each other and crammed. They have so much junk in the house that there would be no way to put away suitcases for 8 guests. You cannot fit two cars under the car port because of all the junk in the carport. There are drawers and almost every closet in the house just full of junk like microwaves, lamps, and oxygen tanks. The maintenance man shows up (without being called) and blocks you in the driveway and does not tell you why or when he is coming. The utensils, pots, and pans in the house were filthy and still had food in them. The satellite TV is horrible, you get four channels at most and half the time they disappear. We would not have booked this house had the pictures properly portrayed the property. This property could be nice with a little work put into it, but it's severely neglected. Definitely not worth the asking price for this!

Gillade: Incheckning, kommunikation och plats

Week stay okay

We had a nice time in outer banks however we would not stay at this property again. The beds were so uncomfortable and hot in bedrooms they need ceiling fans them. The pool and beach are not as close as listed and no information was given about where the pool was located or that you needed money to get bands that you get back once bands are handed in. It wasn’t super dirty but definitely needs to be deep cleaned things pulled out and cleaned behind and under stuff. Also I have never stay anywhere that you have to pay extra for sheets on your bed and towels that’s crazy so we brought our own. Also bring your own knives if your going to cook because ones in kitchen are super dull and do not count much. Area was nice and we had an issue with back door with the trim and they came out right away to fix (break bottom of trim piece off). Pool was nice once we got to it but the ladies Who run pool are crazy and the kids couldn’t hardly do anything in the pool except use their dive toys and swim laps. We could of definitely stayed right on the beach somewhere else for as much as we paid and had nicer accommodations.

Sounds like fun

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When you pull up to the house it is a bit under-whelming looking. However, once you walk out into the backyard, the view of the sound is amazing. We spent so much time on the back porch watching the water or at the boat wall fishing. So relaxing that you almost forget that you are at the beach. The inside of the house is basic. No bells and whistles but also just what you need for your stay. Since I went to the coast to be out at the coast, the four bedrooms handled my family sleeping, showering, and clothes washing needs just fine. The covered back porch is truly an additional living space too.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the price we paid, I expected the property to be in better shape. The side stairs wobble when you walk on them, you can't use the side stairs after it rains due to standing water at least ankle deep. We killed multiple roaches in the house during our stay and the toilet was loose. On our arrival day we had to call someone to cut the grass, it was knee high. We also had to repair a leak in the outdoor shower.The best part about this house is the view, this could be a really nice property if the owners put some of the money they make back into it.

Kitchen poorly equipped and broken coffee maker. Can't use sick as no ladder as shown, grill nasty, old and wobbly. Called to reply and told someone would be there Monday at noon, no show but someone comes in Thursday with new coffee majef... We already went out and got ine. Also a few roaches. One drying pan mini about 8 inches in size great for making a single egg in. Broken icemaker. Not worth it don't stay there!

If that wasn’t bad enough, then had to clean one bathroom because it smelled of urine. In my thirty two years of going to the outer banks I have never had a place that I regretted renting.
