Great stay in the mountains!

The property was the perfect location for the activities we wanted to do (rafting, Jeep tour, mine tour, etc.). The house is beautiful, well stocked, and was the right size for the two couples who stayed there. The backyard area was also a great plus (firepit, gas grill, bar with fridge, etc.)!

Perfect Getaway

The amenities and location of this property were absolutely ideal. Everything a couple adults could ask for on the property, not the least of which was privacy. And the location was central to anything we wanted to do: Blackhawk, Red Rocks, anywhere in Denver, and all the outdoor activities and tours in the immediate area. Definitely want to stay here again!

Lovely place very nice deck and sitting area out back comfortable roomy main gathering area only negative would be sleeping arrangements small room needs bunk bed or something similar the small sofa bed really is not for sleeping

This property was great for our family of 4! From littles to adults, it was wonderful. The property was clean, the shower was amazing, and the location couldn’t get any better! It’s like your home away from home with everything you need. The property owner was available anytime I had questions. Want to explore Colorado? This is the house to pick!

Great home & location!

Our family really loved our stay at Kelly & Mark’s place. The mountain home was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The location is fabulous- right between Idaho Springs and Georgetown. Great hiking, shops, restaurants, and activities all just a few minutes away. Yet, it was lovely to be away from all the weekender excitement when we wanted and to be able to enjoy peaceful moments next to the firepit on the deck while surrounded by nature. Kelly and Mark have a very warm, welcoming, well-equipped hideaway in Dumont/Downieville. They are great hosts! Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful home. It’s a little different to find at night as it is up on a slight slope and there is a 5th wheel and equipment parked around the lower grade of the property. The third bedroom/office space has a couch bed rather than a regular bed. We slept with the windows open and heard some freeway noise. The outdoor space was nice. The hot tub was off limits but we enjoyed the sitting areas. Overall a nice, comfortable place.

My husband Mike and I moved to Colorado 12 years ago because of our passion for skiing and snowboarding. As much as we love the winters here, we also adore the summer and fall seasons too. Having a love for the great outdoors is why we decided to open our house up to others.

Our mountain home is easy to get to and located in Clear Creek County between Idaho Springs and Georgetown. We are 20 minutes from Loveland Ski Area, 30-40 minutes to Winter Park and Arapahoe Basin, and 40-50 minutes to Breckenridge and Keystone. Shopping and restaurants are easily accessible in Idaho Springs and Georgetown.

Our property is unique as it has great curb appeal and is kept nice and clean. We have one of the only custom built log homes in the area as it was built with reclaimed wood from an old banquet hall located in Breckenridge, CO.
