Weekend in Strawberry Getaway

It was great staying at the cabin on Georges Drive. We loved the fireplace, it was so cozy. My boyfriend and I enjoyed cooking on the kitchen counterspace. And we saw snowfall! It was lovely :) we had both been to Pinecrest area a few times, but I like Strawberry and the cabin location. Having a garage was really helpful, and we were able to use pre-chopped wood set aside for us. Nearly a 10-minute drive back down the road to Pinecrest Lake, and very thoughtful touches with a binder for check-in procedures and travel suggestions. I'll definitely be back

A family getaway for grandma

The cabin is actually a lot larger than I thought it was going to be. We had more than enough room. The back deck is great for the kids to play on with supervision. Understand that on a hot day, the front bedroom and living room get quite warm. The host/hostess were great and responded quickly to us when we mentioned that the oven needed to be cleaned so it didn’t smoke when in use.

Beautiful location for a quiet summer get away!!

Cabin was clean and as described. It was hot when we stayed, but they had ample fans available, which made sleeping much better. It would be nice if toilet paper (a backup for each bathroom) and trash bags (even just 2 or 3) were included. We came from out of state, so worrying about bringing those basics was an annoyance. The hot water did not work for the first day, but with a few calls to the management, it was fixed. They were very responsive. There was hiking right out the back door and Pinecrest Lake is a short drive away. The Strawberry Store is within walking distance and has some basics and is charming. The owners are super nice, they have live music on Saturday evenings. And of course, you are in the Sierras!

But the heater...

Everything was great but the heater. Well we didnt notice it until the morning of check out. The place was grwat. Clean and ready to go when we arrived. Check in was easy and clear. Place was ready to go. It was cold inside and started the heater and a fire in the fire place everthing was warm and perfect. Now on the day of checkout couldnt start a fire do to having to clean out the ash and the heater for the main room would not work. Tried everything but it remained 54 degrees. Bedrooms were fine. Would total stay here again. Thanks for a great place to stay.

A Little Gem

We were actually relieved we had a house. Considering the weather was unpleasant. Our children and families were camping in Pinecrest and we went fishing, paddle boarding, dinners together and campfires(first night). The house was in a very good location for meeting up with them. They ended up leaving early because tents flooded. We did have dinner at our place one night. It was perfect. Thank you for letting us book your house! It was very clean and comfortable.

Pinecrest

We really enjoyed out stay. The deck on the back was peaceful and quiet. The kitchen was well supplied except for a cork screw. The wi-fi and internet worked great and my friends were able to complete their airline check-in for their flight out the following day. We spent an afternoon at Pinecrest Lake and went up to Sonora pass for a picnic the next. The bedding and trash procedures could be improved, but in all fairness the host explained exactly what to expect. Anyway, we had a great time.

Quite cabin

Cleaning person could do a little better. There is garbage under bed. Few spider webs, etc. Just little things that I probably only notice. I cleaned most of my time on my stay so it wasn't relaxing. Overall very nice place to stay.
