Big White Chalet

Really enjoyed our stay, property was exactly as listed, Rene was easy to deal with and helpful. Accessing Big White Village without a car is approx 20mins walk each way.

3 Days BW trip

Had a great stay Rene's place. Clean, easy check-in/out, super close ski out the lifts, 20 min walk to village, very enjoyable.

Nice place to stay for skiing in Big White

We enjoyed staying at the place during our vacation at Big White. It's not truly ski-in/ski-out location, but getting to and from resort is relatively easy.Highlights: hot tub, spacious place, well equipped.Point to improve: communication with the host was a bit hard. We had issues with the entrance door and had to call the host after waiting for a day for them to answer a message. Consecutive communication touchpoints were similar.Additionally, the sheets in the one of the bedrooms had dog hair.

Perfect "off resort" mountainside stay at Big White!

We love this cozy chalet set in Snow Pines Estates! It was easy to get to and had all the amenities we needed to stay comfortably as a family. The setup of this unit is ideal for accessible parking, accommodating outdoor gear, preparing meals, and relaxing in front of the TV or in the hot tub. The note to catch in the property listing is that it is not a true slope side ski in/ski out... You do have to walk/ski down the road a bit (this was snow covered at the end of December when we were there), and also uphill to get to the mountainside; returning from the slopes is a bit easier coming off Serwas run, then crossing a road and skiing home. Picking up ski pass cards and access to the village gondola is just a short drive away. Rene is a great host! This was our first trip to Big White...we hope to be back..and we would definitely return to this property.

Great Stay in Snow Pines!

I love staying in the Snow Pines area but for those who don’t know the hill it’s not truly ski in/out. We are a family of 4 strong skiers and don’t mind a little walk. This is reflected in the reasonable price of this unit. Short 5 min walk on the road to get to a ski out path to lifts. Same when coming back. You should also know that there’s no way to do a night ski later anywhere out of Snow Pines. You would need to drive to the village gondola area and find parking. The main bed is a true double not queen and the upper bunk is max weight 125 pounds and a very thin coil mattress. The TV does not have Netflix(not a smart TV). Upstairs was a little noisy with kids running around early mornings. Other than that this place is roomy with in suite laundry and an amazing gas fireplace and private hot tub. Gorgeous morning mountain views. We will definitely return. Owner is very quick to reply.

Fabulous for a Family of Four

We had an excellent stay at this fabulous property. Everything was fully operational, and we did not have issues with the appliances and hot tub. The home was very comfortable. It was conveniently located. We used a rental car to get to the property and drove to Happy Valley each day and parked our car. We did not use the ski in and ski out, because two members of our family were beginner skiers. The property manager was very helpful and very responsive. There was nothing that we needed, during our stay, that was not provided by the property owner. We were very impressed and we will be back.

Amazing location!

The condo was a great location and easy access to the hill. It was well equipped and the hot tub felt great after a long day of skiing. The host Rene was really helpful as well. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Ski Apartment

We have been travelling around BC staying in different resorts. This is the one of the nicest apartments we have stayed in. It is nice and light, well set out for skiing, warm and spacious. The owner was very welcoming. Not to far from lifts in the morning and ski in afterwards

Very clean well priced and equipped

The condo was well equipped and was very clean. I suggest reviewing the Big White village map before arriving to familiarize yourself with the location otherwise it could be confusing. Had a great stay and gladly recommend it. Remember the master bedroom has a double not a queen if that is a concern.

Awesome Place

True ski in/out. You literally walk out the door onto a sidewalk that has run against it. High end unit with everything you could want. Close to Happly Valley and a quick gondola ride to village. Property manager top notch as well. One of the best places we have stayed at Big White.

Clean, cosy chalet

The chalet was clean and cosy with great views. It is only a ski in/out if there is enough snow on the road. This was not the case for our spring break trip. Overall the place was good and it was wonderful to have a hot tub to relax in after a day of skiing. A few things need replacing though to make the chalet better in my opinion. The single mattress on the bunkbed definitely needs replacing as it was very uncomfortable and greatly effected our sleeping arrangements for our family. New pots and pans are needed as they are very scratched up. Rene, the host had a good respond time but never bothered to check-in with us to ask if everything was ok. That would have been nice.

3 Day Ski Holiday.

Accommodations are very comfortable. As this was our first time at Big White, we found the chalet difficult to find as the directions were not great,and the street names are all very similar. As well, this is not exactly ski in ski out.. we carried our skis part of the way to the hill. Would recommend to the home owner to have a clear map as to how to get back to the chalet at the end of the day.

This property was good.

This property had a great view and was cosy and clean. It is ski in/ski out only when there is enough snow to cover the roads. The single mattress on the top bunk was very uncomfortable.

Property was perfect for us

Great condo and very well equipped. Owner was great to deal with. Located in Snow Pines. Ski In and just slight walk slight walk to ski out. Great views. Hot tub was nice. Good sized kitchen.

Clean, comfortable, and cozy quarters!

We enjoyed our stay here. We appreciated all the comforts of home as well as the convenience of being able to ski out the front door! It was nice to have laundry facilities and plenty of towels for bathing as well as the hot tub. There is no BBQ - which we would have liked. My only disappointment was that the stairs, deck and parking space were not shoveled prior to our arrival ... so that made it a little tricky getting in - as there was not a very sturdy shovel available. Other than that, it was a great experience.

Great place and great location

This was a nice place to stay and Rene, the host was very nice and accommodating. He definitely brings a Swiss flair to the chalet. We found two of the mattresses a little hard or lumpy--but maybe they were just not what we are used to. A mattress topper would probably help. The location is great. You can ski down Serwa and end at the top of the lane, a block or so from the chalet. It was nice and clean and the hot tub was enjoyable.
