Det moderna vagnshuset sover fyra bekvämt. Det finns en drottningssäng i befälhavaren och två singlar i det andra sovrummet. Ett fullt rostfritt stjälkök är redo för gourmetmåltider med färsk BC frukt och grönsaker köpt från jordbrukarmarknaderna eller havsmat köpt direkt från fiskarens båt. En vedspis i vardagsrummet är underbar till mysig upp till på kvällarna och njut av ett glas vin eller en god bok. En täckt balkong med utsikt över den vackra egenskapen är den perfekta platsen för ditt morgonkaffe och kvällscoctail. Sitter du på däck nere vid dammen kan du se ett överflöd av djurliv. Hjortar, fiskar, blå häger, kala örnar, mink och många fjädervänner har upptäckts många gånger. Vissa tider på året är dammet trevligt att simma i. Om du är ute efter en utmanande vandring, går fastigheten tillbaka till ett frodigt ostört skogsområde med en vacker bäck. Du kanske kan göra den korta vandringen upp i bäcken till det lilla vattenfallet, men du kommer att bli våt.

Kind hosts and beautiful space!

Cozy and clean

This location was central to all the sites we were interested in. Lots of deer nosing about. Property was clean and nicely appointed. Owners were very approachable and always helpful. The layout was spacious. Plus, BC folks are very friendly!

cozy comfort

Thanks so much for our wonderful stay. The house was well out-fitted and the beds so comfortable! Such a lovely spot, and so convenient to both Mill Bay and Shawnigan Lake. Both Tessa and I really enjoyed our time there - cooking up a storm and admiring your horse and goat! Thanks again. Nicola

We will be back!

Absolutely loved our stay at Cedar Hollows. Felt right at home from the moment we arrived. We were travelling with our toddler (3) and baby (8months), and it was perfect for us! Tara was ways quick to respond and a fantastic host. The property is beautiful and our toddler loved watching the goats and having a wander around the pond every day. Kitchen was incredibly well equipped with everything we needed and super cozy beds. 100% recommend!!

Felt like home. Very quiet, peaceful country side.

Jamie and Tara are great hosts and made it feel like home. We enjoyed the very well equipped carriage house, and woodstove. The farm was quiet, and the scenery was beautiful. Enjoyed watching the wildlife stroll through, and the farm animals. We loved how close the parks and beaches were from their place. If the carriage house is well equipped then in our opinion we felt that the mattress could use an upgrade.

Well maintained, clean, and comfortable property!

This was a nice relaxing getaway for my 2 little girls, husband and myself. Pros: very clean, nice property, well located to explore Vancouver island towns, hot Tub, air conditioner, nice patio. Cons: Not much provided (oil, hand soap, laundry detergent, did not lend butter when we asked), very squeaky bed. Overall I would probably stay again but make note that unlike previous reviewers who said the kitchen was very well stocked and there were farm fresh eggs, we did not find this to be true but in fact found very little was provided when compared to other vacation rentals. We found one bar of soap when we arrived and had to request another so we weren't running it from the bath to the kitchen to the bathroom sink. Just remember you should bring everything you plan on using for the kitchen, bath or laundry or plan on buying it. This is a very clean and well maintained rental so that is the trade off! For me, being told we could not have the empty oil bottle filled because it's not provided and having to run to the store for little things was a bit of an annoyance and affected the feeling of hospitality. Asides from this, we did truly enjoy our time.

great place to stay

Very private and well stocked with everything you need, great location, wonderful hosts. The property is quite large and very well maintained, the hosts accommodated EV charging at no extra costs. The property is in a farm setting yet the air is very clean with no bugs at all or extra noises. Thank you for the hospitality, will come back.

Beautiful accommodation in a stunning setting and location

We absolutely loved the apartment-beautifully decorated and warm and comfortable. The setting is beautiful-complete with a lovely pond. We woke up one morning to deer just outside the window! Tara is wonderful! We would come back in a heartbeat.

A true oasis. Great property and great hosts.

Inside, the flat is modern, very comfortable and well appointed. Outside is a serene environment, perfect for strolls by the pond or to visit with the goats. The balcony, overlooking the garden and forest, is a perfect place to relax.

Excellent Place!

This place was excellent! The lodging was comfortable and felt like home away from home. The location is great as it’s out of the city but close enough to most locations on mid and South Island. The owners were great and the property is lovely. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The perfect starting point for daily tours in Cowichan area

Everything perfect: Friendly and helpful hosts, living on the same ground, many cute animals horse, sheep, goats and even wild- living deer with fawns strolling cross the lawn! Very nice and clean little house, perfect for two to four. Kitchen fully equipped, modern and complete! Nice comfortable beds and in the evening qiuet surrounding.

A perfect place for a relaxing vacation.

We found Cedar Hollow to be very charming and comfortable with everything we needed. The property was lovely and made for a very relaxed holiday. It was easy to find our way around and would love to visit again. We also want to thank Jamie for his recommendation on whale watching. We went to Ocean Ecoventure In Cowichan Bay and had a wonderful experience with a captain that was very knowledgeable who made it fun and educational.

Great spot, perfect for our family of 4!

Cedar Hollow was such a fantastic spot for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) while we were in the Victoria/Cowichan area. The house was exactly as described and it was great to have a full kitchen, good sized bedrooms and a nice sitting area. We went all over the place in our 5 days in the area and everything was really easy to get to because of the location of the house - Victoria, Sooke, Langford, Cowichan, Salt Spring, etc...nothing was too far away. If we are ever back on the island and in the area, Cedar Hollow will definitely be our go to spot to stay!

Perfect escape from the city.

My family and I stayed in the Carriage house while attending a weeks worth of family wedding events in Saanich and Victoria. Although we were about 30-40 minutes away from our events, it was well worth the drive. The cottage was a perfect getaway from the busyness of Victoria and gave us something to look forward to at the end of our busy, wedding event filled days. The views were outstanding including thick woods, flowers, deer, horses and goats. The owners of the home did not engage with us unless we sought them out which made the rental feel even more private. The house was cool despite the hot summer climate and the deck was, by far, my favorite place to be; in the morning with my coffee and in the evening with my glass of wine. We will certainly consider this location again when we return to Canada.

We relocated from Saskatchewan to the island just this past summer. We moved for our love of the great outdoors, oceans, forests, wildlife, and yes of course the mild winter climate, which was the last nudge that we needed. We purchased this property with the idea of sharing this beautiful Home and Island experience with others from all over the world. We sincerely hope that you love it as much as we do.

We are centrally located between Mill Bay and Shawnigan Lake only 3.1 km in either direction . If you look at the picture that was provided from the air you will notice the lush and pleantyiful forest all around us and the ocean on one side and the lake on the other all within 5 mins from the house.
