Wonderful property and resort

We recently stayed at this property, four adults and two teenagers. The apartment is beautiful and well-situated at the resort and the resort and it's staff were outstanding. We couldn't get over how friendly and helpful everyone was! The only issue was that the condo did not have a fridge but I mentioned this to the owner and she was unaware. She will hopefully be able to resolve this soon. She was very helpful with our stay and I would definitely rent from her again!

Other than the lack of a proper Refrigerator/Freezer in the main room the place was amazing. The staff at the resort was incredible. If we are ever in St Lucia again we wouldn't hesitate booking there again

Wunderbarer Auftenthalt in der Marigot Bay

Perfekte Kommunikation und tolle Unterstützung von der Vermieterin - infolge der Pandemie gab es vor Ort natürlich einige Themen, welche unter normalen Bedingungen anders gelaufen werden. Wir wurden aber bestens unterstützt und sowohl das Resort wie auch die Vermieterin haben alles getan, unseren Aufenthalt perfekt zu gestalten. Jederzeit empfehlenswert und wir werden gerne wieder buchen.

Truly a tropical paradise

Absolutely the warmest welcome from the staff that continued throughout our 11 day stay. The grounds, the pools the whole property is immaculately cared for. Tricia and her support staff went above and beyond to accommodate us to ensure our stay was a memorable one. We will return!!!!

fantastic stay in a 5 star resort

we had a wonderful holiday in Capella in Marigot Bay, one of the most beautiful places in St. Lucia; Michaela, the owner, has been great in dealing with all our queries and been patient and very friendly and helpful! the property is amazing, laid out over two floors and very spacious; we very much enjoyed having had the option of cooking from time to time in the apartment and having had a spacious living and dining area in addition to three very spacious bedrooms! the staff is extremely friendly and helpful! we got little nibbles and tasters around the pool every day ! The sunsets from the bay are amazing and the whole resort has been newly renovated and decorated to an an extreme high standard about 2 years ago! It is at luxury end of the property market in St. Lucia with a variety of restaurants, various pools and relaxation areas and our 3 boys enjoyed the session in the gym in the morning. There is a little beach opposite which you reach with a 2 minute ferry ride! there is lots to do in St Lucia from climbing the amazing Pitons to Zipwiring, diving, snorkelling, the botanical gardens and Drive in Volcano at Souffriere and exploring the beautiful and very hilly island by car and boat! The price offered by the owner is about 25% from what you would pay if booking directly with the hotel! we will certainly be back! Nikolas M

We really liked the location and the Condo!

Staff is excellent, the rooms are very well maintained. Everything worked and the view was amazing. Lots of stairs but if you are in decent shape no issues. Cannot say enough about the staff and the amenities. The pool is amazing and the swim up bar really makes a great end of the day. The trip over to Dolittles is easy by ferry, takes minutes. We dove everyday with Dive Fair Hellen who was also a great operator and dive shop. It is a great slice of life and very beautiful. One small note, the beach does have people trying to sell you stuff, but it does not in any way take away from the great Capella location!

A beautiful place!

We really enjoyed the 3 bedroom villa at the Capella in Marigot Bay! The facilities and service are wonderful at the resort. The owners were great to work with and were so responsive! Thank you! The villa itself is very nice and is well appointed and well stocked. The resort treats you as if you booked through them with daily housekeeping, concierge service and non-alcoholic drinks stocked in the refrigerator. The only downside at this resort is that the beach for the resort is very small (just as described in the owner's information) and the service at the beach is not as good as at the pool and other areas. Locals do try to sell you all kinds of things while on the beach because all of the beaches are public so the resort cannot keep the area private. The pools and service at the pools was wonderful though, and day trips on catamarans and other activities can make up for the lack of much beach. St. Lucia is a beautiful island and Marigot Bay is a lovely place! We had a great trip!

Relaxing holiday

We reallly enjoyed St Lucia and Marigot Bay . The resort/ villa /ammentities were above and beyond. The staff are always upbeat and happy. Sitting pool side they will bring you complimentary snacks. It was a very relaxing holiday. The actual unit we stayed in was not the unit pictured, we were confused at first thinking there was some mistake. But sadly it was not a mistake, this unit was an ocean front, garden view. It was really important to us to have an ocean view so it was a disappointment for us. If an ocean view is not in your criteria you will absolutely love this villa and resort.

Amazing Luxury Retreat!

Agree with all the reviews. We were completely amazed. The photos don't do this accommodation justice. The living area is spectacular. The scenery is outstanding. The service at Capella is first class. They arranged everything for us. They planned out excursions and dinner reservations. Outstanding is all I can say. Even though we stayed in the low season of tourism, we did not hear another sound from any of the other guests. Everything is solid. The doors, the walls, the stairways. Couldn't hear a thing. The AC and fans work very well for those hot and humid days. We stayed with two very boy teenagers that were able to relax and have fun. It was a great anniversary trip to spend with the family. Thank you Michaela! You have an amazing place. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning

Everything about this holiday was first class. Firstly the accommodation was excellent: it was spotlessly clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including brilliant air con which was essential. The staff within the hotel were so friendly, polite and very helpful, with nothing being too much. The location was just perfect, with fantastic views of the harbour.The beach wasn't the best on the island, but a visit to Anse Castanet certainly was worth it, especially for the snorkelling. The restaurants, within the bay were exceptional, especially the Rainforest Hideaway and Julietta's, where the sunset was breathtaking. My husband and I went with our 2 children (aged18 and 16). There was something for all of us, cricket, exploring the island, lazing by the pool, snorkelling, boat trips,lovely restaurants... It was a unanimous decision, it was one of the best holidays we've been on and would certainly go back.

A perfect week! I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Capella! We are a group of 6 and a half, my husband and I , our 2 adult children with spouses and a one year old grandson. The accomodations were perfect and allowed us privacy, as well as living spaces to hang out together. The villa itself is beautifully, tastefuly decorated with many amenities, as well as daily maid service. The advantage of being at the resort was wonderful. We took advantage of all the resort offered, and enjoyed all the pools, the spa, the boat service to the nearby beach (Anse Conchon, which had excellent snorkling and lovely beach and restaurant). The resort grounds are stunning and so well maintained. The resort staff were so friendly and helpful( they would bring out a bowl of blueberries to my early-rising grandson every morning, while they were preparing the dining room for breakfast!). The concierge service was also great, and with their recommendations, we tried several of the surrounding restaurants. (The Rainforest Hideaway and Masala Bay were 2 favorites). The villa owners were incredibly gracious and so responsive (the nicest experience I have had with VRBO). I initially had some concerns about coming off-season, but after our experience of 8 days of glorious weather and, best of all, no crowds to contend with, I would highly recommend it! My entire family agreed that it was our best vacation to date and we would enthusiastically return!

Perfect vacation getaway!

We had a fabulous time on our vacation and could not have been more pleased with the apartment and with the Capella Resort. We have rented vacation villas before, and when we rented this apartment we thought that we would enjoy the apartment, but wouldn't really make use of the resort. We were wrong! First about the team running Capella Marigot Bay. They were friendly and welcoming and extremely professional. The standard of service was exceptional. We were always greeted by everyone we crossed paths with. The cleanliness of the resort and your unit was better than anywhere else I have visited. We loved the free samples of smoothies and appetizers that were brought around to the pool area. We were also very pleased with the temperature of the water in the pool. It is unusual to come across a heated pool at a Caribbean resort. The apartment was lovely. It was so comfortable that it was difficult to pull ourselves away. We actually did make dinner ourselves one night and we had all of the dishes and cookware that we needed. We loved the high ceilings, hardwood floors. spacious and luxurious bathrooms and the deck space. We also appreciated the location that we chose - both in Marigot Bay itself, and in St. Lucia generally. My husband and I would go walking in the hills every morning and we were happy that we had not decided to rent a villa further up in the hills where it would be more of an ordeal to go out for dinner or run to the grocery store. We rented an SUV and made day trips to Anse Chastenet, Anse Couchon, Rodney Bay and the Gros Piton - and then enjoyed all of the conveniences in Marigot Bay in the evening.In sum, I don't think we could have had a better vacation in St. Lucia.

Fabulous property - terrific owner

We loved our time at this property, and we found the owner to be absolutely perfect in email communications. We were a group of 6. All three bedrooms are large, have a king bed, lots of storage, and a private bathroom. The doors and walls are solid, so noise doesn't travel easily. Two bedrooms are downstairs, where the hot tub is located, and the third bedroom is upstairs, adjacent to the main living space. There are a lot of steps, so keep that in mind if steps are an issue for you. This property is part of the Capella Resort, and you are treated as a resort guest with full benefits. There are two great pools with a swim-up bar and attentive staff. The unit is cleaned daily. The hot tub is checked twice a day. There is a decent fitness center, free yoga classes, and free water equipment rental (kayaks, paddleboards, etc.) at the neighboring beach. Many restaurants are in close proximity, meaning you can walk to the resort restaurants, take a short ferry to the marina ones, or use a complementary shuttle to the ones in the neighborhood. We would not hesitate to stay here again! This property has it all. You don't need a car. We did three excursions from here. Two picked us up in a boat right at the marina and the third picked us up at the front entrance via tax. Tip: bring a book light if you like to read at night.

Wonderful vacation with a gracious and very helpful owner

I can't begin to explain how relaxing yet adventure filled our vacation was at ST Lucia and especially at Marigot bay. The villa is private but very accessable to all the amenities of the resort and is even more beautful than we expected. The (hot tub) or plunge pool was especially wonderful after an afternoon of hiking Gros Piton. The staff at the resort could not have been more accomodating from our arrival at the resort, celebrating a special birthday, arranging a water taxi, having refreshing drinks at the pool & our daily maid service. The resort treated us like royalty. The restaurants at the resort were delicious and service exceptional. We also enjoyed many of the resturants the owner recommended. In the morning we watched the humming birds while enjoying breakfast on the balcony before heading out for a day of Zipline-ing, hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, ATV adventure, or deep sea fishing (dad & son both landed their first Marlins & released both all in a morning of fishing). In the late afternoon we would relax at the resort pool or our private pool with a drink and then a late dinner. The bedrooms allowed for a comfortable and relaxing night sleep. The extra bedrooms gave our young adult children their own private & spacious bedrooms and bathrooms too. Wish we could have stayed longer and would love to return again.

Gorgeous property, would love to come back!

A group of 5 of us stayed here at the Discovery in Marigot Bay at this WONDERFUL 3 bedroom villa. We did not expect such a luxurious accomodation for the price. The villa is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful dark brown wood and HIGH ceilings. All of the bedrooms came with a large, beautiful bathroom (where you could hear the birds all day) and a private balcony/porch. There was definitely no fighting over the rooms and each room was very lovely. The beds were more than comfortable and the service at the hotel was impeccable. It took a little while to figure out how to use the European appliances in the fully stocked, modern kitchen (so nice!) and it was great to find out that there was a washer/dryer in the villa as well. Marigot Bay is beautiful, full of great dining options and entertainment. I would recommend taking the ferry across the bay to rent a kayak (for free if you are a guest) and paddling down the river. It was an overall great time and every one in our group said they would definitely come back in a heartbeat to the same property! If you are looking for a place to stay in St. Lucia, this is definitely one of your best options!
