WOW... VILKEN UTSIKT!!! Villaen vid bukten med utsikt över Marigot Bay

It is unfortunate that this guest seems to have had some difficulties completing the required immigration form. I presume that she is referring to the online fillable immigration form that the St. Lucia Travel Authority requires and that has drop-down fields that require a visitor to choose one of the limited options provided in the form. Regarding the name of my villa, it has continuously had the name "Villa on the Bay" for decades beginning with the owner before me and is known throughout not merely Marigot Bay, but most of St. Lucia, by its name and also as the red (or orange) house on the hill in Marigot Bay. It has functioned as a guest vacation villa in Marigot Bay for a long time and is well known by locals, by folks who work at the airport, by car/van transportation companies, and by boat tour operators, many of whom point it out as a point of interest when they bring their boat tours into Marigot Bay. Additionally, all signage for the villa, both along the roads leading to the villa and on the villa itself, say "Villa on the Bay." Nonetheless, as I am always looking to elevate my guests' experience, I will add more information to the detailed "welcome" email that all guests receive in order to provide my guests with helpful tips for completing the immigration form. I am glad that the guest found that my on-island property manager Will helped her and her group whenever they needed something, as his goal is to help guests have a wonderful trip and stay in the villa.

Thanks for your favorable comments regarding the aesthetics of our villa. As to the door locks, our property manager informed the guests that the front door lock was locking, but that it was sometimes sticking during the unlocking process.The property manager further informed the guests that they should take the back door key in case when they tried to open the front door lock, it did in fact stick, in which case they could enter the villa from the back door which is just as accessible as the front door. Neither I nor my property manager would ever want a guest to leave the villa and not lock the doors! A new front door lock, which has to be custom-made, has been ordered and will be installed as soon as it arrives, which should be any day now. As for the pool temperature, my property manager informs me that it was particularly rainy this reservation week which led to colder rainwater cooling the pool, but guests can always ask my property manager or the villa's gardener/pool man to change the pool temperature to their personal liking.

I am glad you enjoyed the villa and its amazing views, and am very sorry -- although very surprised -- that your interactions with the property manager Nina were less than desirable. As your review attests to, other guests of the villa have made it a point to specifically include Nina in their reviews to say how helpful she was and how she went out of her way to make their stays special.
