Easter vacation getaway for three

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall a very nice property with some interesting features. The rear parking area was nice but hard to turnaround a truck with long wheelbase but manageable. The finished garage was a great space we used for eating and relaxing out of the wind. Enjoyed both showers which were very modern but the shower pan was a little slippery, could use a rubber mat for safety. The stairway does not have a handrail which we found to be an issue.l The canvas awning over the upstairs deck flaps in the wind and noisy at times. Kitchen equipment, china and glassware all very good. Overall a nice stay.

Great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice clean well decorated home in a great location. Home was well stocked and well cared for. We enjoyed outdoor area. However,the photos are a little misleading as to the size of the drive and parking in rear of house. It was very difficult to park 2 full size trucks and a golf carti. The fabric awning on the front of the house , over the top deck , makes a loud knocking sound, when the wind blows, which is all the time, which caused all in our party not to sleep well. Also, there on Lou reed opening in the master bedroom , just above the stair well that unfortunately you can hear everything going on in the home. Great home, but unfortunately, not very restful.

Great location - noisy house

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice little house but don’t plan on getting a rested nights sleep here. The 2nd floor balcony awning flapped and it’s frame banged against the house and made so much noise the whole time it sounded like someone was breaking in or we were in the middle of a tropical storm.

Beach house

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house had a great location to the beach and Port A restaurants.The beds weren’t comfortable at all, especially for the price we paid to stay there vs. a hotel. The living room was tiny and definitely couldn’t accommodate 6 ppl comfortably. We will probably look for a different place next year that has better space. It was a fine enough place just not a fit for us. My biggest complaint was the rude person the answered the phone when we got to town. She acted like I was bothering her asking if I needed to sign anything. She didn’t even say bye when we were done talking...she just hung up. I definitely will look for someone better then Port A Eacapes. Two thumbs down for your customer service.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We liked a lot of things about Hartmans. It's location, parking, furnishings and the garage outdoor room. What we didn't like. No blinds on living room window or door and no blinds on upstairs door to outdoor deck. No railing going up to second level. My wife twisted her ankle and she fell on bottom two steps, it has a tricky transition to lower floor. She was not able to get around well for much of our visit.

Fantastic Beach House!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great vacation spot! Recently stayed at Tim's Beach house for a week this past July and love it. The property is nice and clean and has just what was described. Very relaxing and in a quiet neighborhood. Best part was the location. Just about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Daily routine was getting up, walking to the beach, coming back for lunch and quick rest, back to the beach and then home for dinner. Super convenient. Can also just walk uptown to several restaurants and shops. Only used the car one time all week! Nice A/C units in the house keep it cold and also loved just grilling fresh seafood from local stores outside on the bbq provided. Would highly recommend to a friend and will definitely be staying here again!!!

Needs Work

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It's hard to understand how you can charge hundreds of dollars per night and still cheap out on pest control, bedding, and paper goods.Pros:* good location* great decks* garage setup is good* showers and bathrooms are niceCons:* cockroaches - numerous roaches in the property, had to shake everything out before packing to hopefully not bring them back with us* cheapest paper goods ever - how can you even find something that useless?* cheap beds that are creaky and roll to the middle, horrible to try and sleep on* no insulation - A/C takes long time to cool just two degrees, * noisy - if anyone in the house is up or moving, the whole house knows it, doors creak loudly as well* property manager - girl behind the counter couldn't be bothered with servicing the customer (both in and out), barely even looked up either time

Nicely decorated and furnished house close to the beach

We loved the location of the home, bring both within 3 blocks of the beach and a few blocks to town. Our kids rode their bikes to both! The house is very nicely decorated. It could use some baking sheets in the kitchen and a more comfortable bed in the master. A little strange that the master bedroom only has a 1/2 bath attached. Loved the dog friendly amenities! We would definitely stay here again!

RENTERS BEWARE DO NOT RENT

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Do not rent this property the creepy owner has cameras in the front of the house right by the balcony where you sit and hang out and also in the back yard by the garage right where you would hang out and walk and the cameras have audio recording on them that CAN NOT be turned off!!! It is very creepy and he watches the cameras and listens to your conversations. We rented this place last on 8/7/2019 and the rental company never disclosed that the property had audio and video recording so when we arrived in the evening it creeped us out so we turned the camera in the backyard the next morning we left on a fishing trip and when we returned the camera was turned back (proves he is watching the cameras!!). I called the management company, which that company is a joke in itself) and told them they never told us there are cameras because we would of never rented this place and that we turned the camera again and expect it to stay that way. An hour later we had 4 men banging on our door (one was the port aransas escapes manager) threatening and trying to intimidate us saying if we touch the camera again we will be kicked out and will not receive a refund and then turned the camera back to watching us! They scared my kids so bad they didn’t want to go to sleep that night by themselves. We called HomeAway and told them what was going on and they told us that the owner violates their contract because he never disclosed the cameras to anyone including the management company!!! The next day we called the management place back and told them they had 3 options 1. Turn the cameras off because in Texas it’s illegal to audio record other peoples conversations without their permission 2. Move us to a different house or 3. Refund our money and they told us they will not do any of those things and we should be glad the cameras are their and to deal with it ( like I said a joke of a company). Everything was booked on the island so it took us another day to find a place

Close to the beach at Port A
