Wonderful Experience

This property was exceptional! Very clean and included everything we could need. Great location, and the property owner was right next door and very friendly and responsive. We've found our new favorite place to stay when we are visiting the area, and we've found great new friends in Mary and Randy.

Beautiful location, very clean, great host, perfect for the soul, had everything we needed.

We enjoyed staying at Mary’s place. She greeted us as we admired the surroundings. Beautiful plants. Great outdoor space. She offered several dinner suggestions. The place had everything we needed. Even a gas grill we could use. It was extremely clean too. Great AC and hot water. We would stay here again.

Beautiful spot with a dock for my Boat.

Mary has set this place up perfect, very clean right on the River with dock space for my 20' center console. Quiet little slice of paradice.

Return Customers

This was our 2nd stay at Mary’s property on the Homosassa River. The cottage is very clean and the property is nicely landscaped. It is a great couple’s getaway. We love being able to dock the boat right in the backyard, hop on and be on the river. The springs are just minutes up the river and the restaurants and boat ramp just 15 minutes down river. You can be in the Gulf of Mexico in about. 30 minutes. Lots of opportunities to fish and scallop season is July-Sept. We highly recommend!

Great location with beautiful view

We enjoyed our stay at Mary’s place. It was clean, comfortable and the perfect size. We had a great time lounging on the dock and sitting in yard. Manatees swam by all day and a couple herons came up to check us out. Overall it was peaceful, great location on the river. We kayaked with the manatees and enjoyed the nearby parks and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again. Mary was helpful and very nice!

No parking for full size truck and boat. Restaurant parking makes it impossible

The restaurant parking was loaded and people were parked 1/2 on the curb so I was impossible to get a full size truck and trailer to the parking for the house. Also beware that you only get 1/2 the driveway. Not the entire pad is yours. We tried and tried to get in and had to come back home and didn’t stay there. Owner told me “not to contact them again” and that they had never had this problem before. That’s BS. Don’t stay here unless you have one compact car. Lost all my $ and sat at the house.

Family getaway

We really enjoyed our stay here...So much we tried to stay longer than originally planned. Unfortunate for us but it was already booked. The place is super clean, super quiet and is an amazing location!

Homosassa waterfront getaway

Great spot on the water in great location. House is very comfortable and perfect for a couple. Very short walk to Marguerita Grill and a short drive or boat ride to Florida Cracker/Monkey Island area. We will definitely book this house again!

Wonderful location & very nice manager/owner.

I loved this place & would highly recommend it. It reminded me so much of the spring-fed lake I grew up on in Michigan. Ps. I couldn’t find a can opener.

Perfect River Retreat

Located right on the river, this place is picture perfect. The view is spectacular and we watched manatees from our patio. Mary is absolutely delightful and takes immaculate care of this property. The home is so comfortable, well-appointed, and super clean. We loved the river

On the river! Perfect cozy spot!

This place was awesome! It was on the river we ate breakfast on the porch and took in the manatees sticking their fins out of the water, and different birds flying by . Very close to everything Ellie Schiller, and other great destinations! The lady who owned it was very easy to work with and helpful. Thank you for an amazing stay!!

Great Place

I booked this property for 2 days of fishing in my Happy Place, Crystal River but I wish I stayed longer. The location is very convenient and the view is spectacular! I woke up early in 29 degree weather to take a picture of the fog on the river. Mary was a great hostess and the apartment was clean and very comfortable. This is a place I will return to stay again.

Even Better Than Expected!

The photos for this listing do not reflect how lovely this property really is. The property is spacious, comfortable, and wonderfully located! The views from the windows are so lovely. As others have noted, the house is extremely clean! It is also nicely organized. This is by far the cleanest property I have ever visited. The property was quiet and private, despite being located near other homes and a restaurant. The host was a pleasure and communicated with us quickly. Can’t say enough nice things about this listing!

Very relaxing..wonderful river view and location

We loved the cabin. Very nice and clean! King size bed wonderful bathroom . Even though hurricane Elsa ripped thru area right as we were do to check in….Mary was great in communicating and we just delayed until next morning. Perfect location. We kayaked every day

Perfect. Nothing less than perfect.

We are local but wanted a place on the water for simplicity. We were absolutely blown away by this piece of paradise. This is real Florida. The owner clearly wants her visitors to relax and feel what the real Florida feels like. There is no other place like this home. Take notice of her native plants. So much history and depth surrounds this place.

Heaven on the Homosassa

I could not have asked for a better experience. As I have been visiting the area since I was a child, we've always stayed in rv Park or hotels. I won't do either again unless I have too. As long as this little slice of heaven is available, this is where I will be. The home was absolutely amazing and perfect. The owner, she is absolutely amazing, wonderful and so easy to talk with. The view, is a lil slice of heaven on the river. Again, I will look no farther again for anything else.
