Luxury Retreat from the World

What a dream space! The kitchen was a well-equipped, gourmet, heartbeat of the home where the five of us (all adults) cooked, snacked and cleaned together. We loved the views of the stars over the lake from the super comfy chairs with cozy provided blankets on the back deck and from the hot tub. Each bedroom was decorated beautifully and the "courtyard" between the separate garage and home behind it was like a private oasis. Plenty of outdoor & indoor spaces for conversations, a large TV for watching weekend football (or whatever). This luxury home presents as well thought out for luxury. -TM

50th Anniversary

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall good experience except for major misunderstanding on having a small dinner party. We told Tahoe Getaway when we booked the home that we were having a small dinner party at the house and were told that was ok. But on the day of our dinner we were told that if we exceeded 10 people on the property at any time we would be evicted! Not good! Other than that, the home was clean, had great views of the lake, and was well equipped. All minor problems at the home (broken table, missing screens and broken BBQ) were taken care of quickly.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Partial Lake View Treasure. Everything the owner provides in this home makes your stay very easy. Home is large enough for a family to spread out & relax. Although don't expect the vacation home to be in tip top shape because it needs some TLC. The deck is great but is showing it's age. We enjoyed our stay & loved the views from all the windows.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this house for Christmas and brought up our family. It’s a great house with a fantastic view and layout. The only problem we had is confusion with the room description. There is mention of a loft and a picture of what appears to be a loft. However it’s a shelf that’s about 12” wide and not suitable for someone to sleep on. So we ended up with someone on the floor. Other than that, it’s a great house and I’d rent again.

Nice Views but No Attention to Detail

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family spent 7 nights here. The house is well located, and the views from the deck are quite nice. The kitchen was well stocked. However, there were several things that took away from the experience, from minor annoyances to bigger problems. These items I think are due to lack of attention to detail on the part of the property manager: 1. No screens in many of the windows. This is inexcusable in the bedrooms, which get very hot at night. One night my sister slept on the couch because there were mosquitos in her room. 2. Lots of debris on the roof that fell on us while we sat on the deck. 3. The deck and outdoor furniture were not clean when we arrived. We had to clean and hose down the deck ourselves. 4. Some of the pathway stones are loose. My mom has a broken ankle and this made footing difficult and dangerous for her. 5. The dining room chairs were wobbly - we had to get a screwdriver and tighten them. 6. One of the bedroom doors wouldn't latch and stayed swung open, and in that same bedroom one of the windows doesn't open. 7. The French doors off the formal living room to the deck do not open. 8. The family room has a rug which is a trip hazard - it bunches up and slides around on the floor. We stowed it in a closet during our stay. 9. The vacuum doesn't work, and while there's a broom there is no dustpan. I broke a glass in the kitchen and had to clean up the shards with my hands and paper towels. 10. The sprinklers come on around 8am and 8pm every day. These are times we were often trying to get to the driveway to leave, take out the trash, etc. The sprinklers should come on at a time when people aren't likely to be out and about. 11. The wifi stopped working halfway through our stay. It would have been nice to have an Ethernet cable for when we really needed to get online. We still had a great time together, but I wouldn't rent this place again and would probably look to rent from a diffe

Haven Crest Family Getaway

Location is good and close to Kings Beach and Tahoe City. The house was clean except there was quite a layer of dust along the baseboards in the master closet and behind the master bed. Screens aren't on all of the windows and there are mosquitoes. The room over the garage was quite warm and the sloping walls/roof and water heater right near the toilet was somewhat off putting so we didn't use that room. Tahoe Getaways was very responsive to questions we had once there and when we couldn't find the key to the fire pit someone brought one to us around 6 PM. I would definitely stay at a Tahoe Getaways property again.

Fantastic views and great house

Wonderful Stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The stay was even better than expected! The house even better than advertised. The only trouble that we had was a bed that collapsed but it was repaired quickly even during the busy season. The kids had a great time with the croquet set, the hot tub, and the fire pit and we had plenty of places to eat in the kitchen, dining room and deck. The view of the lake from the deck was beautiful and we found a nice hiking trail to a little reservoir nearby. Everyone had a wonderful time and we would love to come back again.
