The Good and the Bad

Property size and rooms as described except basement bathroom as a full bath is a stretch. Advertised as NEW!-is not! Not a good start. Kitchen is updated and very nice. Ample supplies. For price, should have another TV in Great Room and/or upstairs bedroom. Game tables were nice(fyi-pool table is wobbly) Property was clean For price, would have expected higher quality linens(reminded me of Motel 6!)-several were stained and one covered with lint. My grandchildren disappointed that fire pit shown on site is not there-were looking forward to s'mores. Deck floors show excessive wear. Outside table surface is dirty and unappealing. Landscaping was nice and lot was quiet and peaceful. My son and daughter-in-law would have given higher marks. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but would not return.

Absolutely perfect!

Our family loves Sky Valley, and this was the perfect house! We will definitely be back. Having a bedroom on each of the three floors really helped us spread out & I loved the peacefulness of the property. The swing set was a huge bonus too. Thank you again!

We enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay. However, there were a few things that need to be addressed. I don’t know what the deal is with the Wifi, but it didn’t work consistently and when it did it was like there was a filter and we rarely could access the internet. We had several people who needed to remotely work some but they couldn’t access the internet. We even had trouble doing a Google search. Bizarrely one TV would allow access to Netflix but the others wouldn’t. Half the apps on the TVs didn’t work because the TVs could rarely access the internet. This was a major problem with the under 8 kids. The coffee maker stopped working the first morning. Had to drive down the mountain for morning coffee. The bathtub sliding glass door in the upstairs bathroom was off the slider. I had to get some parts from the hardware store to fix it. The Family room tv - locked unable to add apps (needed a password). Didn’t really matter much because of the internet access problems. Bugs - need to spray around the outside because we were attacked by wasps while we were using the grill. There was a big nest under the deck but I knocked it down.

Beautiful property!

We had a great stay at this property. It’s beautifully kept with very nice decor and furniture and super comfortable beds. The beds were the best I’ve ever slept on! All amenities were provided and very good. The kids enjoyed the use of the playground outside. The location is great as well; 10 minutes to Highlands, NC and 10-15 minutes to Dillard. The only inconvenience is lack of cell phone service and spotty internet (we did contact the host regarding this, and they explained that satellite internet in the area creates this problem). It wasn’t a huge issue though as the country club down the road has good Wi-Fi if you need. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here, and I would highly recommend it!!!

Fabulous place!

The house had everything we needed. Great location for a weekend golf trip. Comfortable beds and living space. What a great spot!! May want to get some big trash bins on site.

Family stay

Family of 10 (plus dog) enjoyed our 4day/night dog friendly stay at this Sky Valley property. Four adults and 6 kids had plenty of room in the three level house. Top level was a small loft area with bed and tv. Bottom level had beds, bath and tv for gathering family. Second (entry) level was spacious with well stocked kitchen and dining area. There was no tv on the level but the windows and deck opened up to a nice view of the area. Would recommend for large group wanting to be together.

Sky Valley

We enjoyed our stay in Sky Valley very much! The house was perfect. The owners supplied everything as advertised. It was especially thoughtful of our hostess to leave us a bottle of wine and popcorn! We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay!

Out multi-generational family had a great vacation in Sky Valley. The house met our needs in every way. The kitchen is well stocked. Eating on the porch was a treat! The sleeping arrangements are great! I liked that each floor has a bedroom. You can have your own space. Having a swimming pool available for the grandchildren was valuable too.

Great time

Sky Valley is an excellent location with lots of outdoor amenities to enjoy. We played Tennis and Golf and would have enjoyed more but we had a rain out day.

Very clean, beautiful - the perfect house for a trip to Sky Valley

We (4 adults and 3 kids) had a great time at this vacation rental — enough space for 2 families. The house is spotless! Our kids enjoyed the days and loved to sleep in the bunk bed. We cooked a lot and used the grill for a BBQ outside - wonderful! A wonderful house, in a beautiful place! Highly recommend it! Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit und koennen das Haus sehr empfehlen. Super sauber, genuegend Platz fuer 2 Familien und eine wunderschoene Umgebung. 10 von 5 Sternen ;-)

Clean, updated place in great location!

This is a clean, comfortable house with modern furnishings. It is quiet and spacious—the layout is nice with a main level living/kitchen and two bedrooms and then basement with game room, upper bedroom with loft area by it. The decks are nice and kitchen well stocked. The area is great—close to Highlands and other towns plus sky valley is a nice community with options to golf, exercise, etc. Vonnie was great to deal with and responsive. Really nice getaway from the city! I hope we can go back sometime!

Amazing Sky Valley Home

This was an amazing home in a great location. Nestled in the mountains of Sky Valley, this home was perfect in all aspects. Home was clean, modern, and located in a very nice resort like neighborhood. All the amenities were up to date. Beautiful town of Highlands, NC was a short 20 min drive away. Highly recommend.
