Beautiful Mountain View

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin has beautiful Mountain View’s. The layout is nice for a family or three couples. It is close to Parrot Mountain and Pigeon Forge. You can hear the train from Dollywood all day till night. We visit this area every year and have been satisfied with Cove Mont Reality. Our stay at this cabin wasn’t the best due to the Lady Bug Invasion. We couldn’t enjoy sitting on the porch, cooking, or just relaxing. The bugs were everywhere and gave off a strong smell in the cabin. Everyday we had to sweep up dustpans full of the bugs and vacuum. There is a rodent between the walls of the lower level. We could hear scratch between the walls during the night and sometimes during the day. “Scary”. The cabin wasn’t as clean as most we have stayed at. The kitchen could use more items, towels, pot holders, colander, baking dishes, etc. If you don’t plan to cook, you will do fine. Overall, we loved the view, location and layout of the cabin. Cove Mont responded to any needs and concerns we had. Maintenance was wonderful and Ms. Francis is a Gem. We look forward to returning to the area again next year.I wouldn’t book this cabin during the Lady Bug Season.

View was spectacular. Fairly clean. Maintenance responded quickly to air conditioning issue. Kids enjoyed hot tub and pool table. Ave left you a Tennessee puzzle we put together. A week of rain did not spoil our week.

Great View, but was short on other things

View was very nice. The location was not far from things. We were disappointed in a few other things though. Even though we saw on previous reviews, we thought the Hot Tub was going to be fixed and working properly. It wasn't, so that might have been our fault. It would not get hot enough. Luke warm was the best it was going to get. Xbox was broke and did not work. No ball for the foosball table. 1st floor bedroom had no view.

It was indeed a million dollar view! Good check in and check out directions. However, we were surprised that the supply of toilet tissue, paper towels, bathroom soap was so limited that we found it necessary to use our own immediately . The dishwasher needs cleaning as it leaves a film and is coated with it inside. The towels in the bathroom and kitchen were in short supply... actually only 1 kitchen towel. You need to check the rockers on the balcony as some are in need of repairs. For all of this, we still enjoyed our stay, the location was convenient to all we planned for the visit. Thank you.

Great location

Reviewer Comments: The property was just as it looked. I LOVED the fact that the big room had 2 KING size beds, that made it so easy with little ones! however, they do need to correct the underneath or get new mattresses you fell into the middle which I I think was an easy fix. Did not sleep in other rooms but no one else complained. easy to get to. nothing too crazy steep or hard. over all clean. Kids enjoyed the games. Never could figure out how to turn on the fireplace. there was no switch or remote.

July 4th Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Tennessee is my home state so I look for opportunities to come back to the beautiful Smokies whenever I can. I rented this cabin and was able to bring my son and his new family and his in-laws from Dallas for a mini vacation during the July 4th holiday. This property was everything I hoped for and so much more! I selected it mainly for the unobstructed views of the mountains and size to accommodate our group of 8, but it will easily sleep 12. The added bonus was being able to see from our balcony the amazing fireworks and drone light show presented by Dollywood each evening at 9:40! We worked our daily schedule so we could be back each night for this added treat!!! Even though we were close to Dollywood, unfortunately we weren’t able to spend time there this trip. I guess that will be on our list for the next trip. The family spent a full day at Ober Mountain in Gatlinburg while I visited old classmates in Pigeon Forge. The Titanic Museum was AMAZING so I highly recommend adding that to any trip. We had dinner one night at the Chesapeake Seafood Restaurant in Gatlinburg which has delicious food and excellent service. We decided to spend the July 4th holiday cooking hotdogs and burgers on the gas grill and resting before our flights back to Dallas the next day. With so much to see in the area it’s impossible to see everything but it also provides plenty to see on our next trip! All in all, this trip was perfect, and the cabin was a WINNER with everyone!!!Two suggestions I would make to the resort management would be:1...add a new sign to designate clearer directions to the cabin. I made a wrong turn and ended up having to ask directions and turn around. Turning around on the steep mountain road can be difficult and dangerous!2...add a small side table on the balcony for a place to balance your morning coffee or beverage while sitting in the rocking chairs.

It was pretty good! Only minor issues

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the cost I just expected a little more. The good: The cabin is big and spacious. Great size washer/dryer and fast WiFi! Cabin was VERY CLEAN! The view was amazing! We watched the fireworks at Dollywood every night from the porch. All the furniture was really comfy. The bad: it needed a little upkeep/maintenance. The rocking chairs were coming apart, lots of random nails on the porch, and the upper level shower was super super small/tight. By day 3 of our stay all the kids on the lower level ended up sleeping in the living room due to the amount of caterpillars in the lower level bedroom and they were in the beds.

June 2021 Stay

The cabin location and view were absolutely as described… nothing else was. This was supposed to be a premium cabin but there were so many “amenities” that did not work. The dishwasher had a broken bottom rack, the thermostat on the hot tub was broken so it was at a 107 degrees so way too hot for anyone to use, washing machine was broken and would not advance to the next cycle, upstairs shower valve did not work, one of the beds downstairs completely dipped in if anyone climbed on, the kitchen was sorely lacking in supplies (no cookie sheets, missing measuring cups, etc) and the list goes on. In addition, the floors in the cabin were super dirty and needed a good cleaning. My family has rented other cabins through Cove Mountain that were so wonderful so this was a complete shock and disappointment.

April 2021 Stay

parking, 3-4 cars max; not insulated between floors, or walls, so privacy is limited! clean, and well furnished; kinda small given the sleep capacity...but the view is great, minus the cabins lining the ridge, verizon cell service is decent. Overall would recommend it...

Bad choice

The house was dirty, there were a lot of bugs, the bed sheets were all dirty and smelled bad. We had to wash the bedsheets and clean the house to stay there. Very good location though. The price set is set higher than what is offered. I’m so disappointed.

Million Dollar View

The house was very out dated, full of lady bugs upon arrival, the smoke alarm was not covered nor did it work, the beds in the loft & bottom floor were horrible sunk down in the middle. There was throw up on the bottom mattress of the loft bed as well! We will never stay in that cabin again.

Nice view and calm ambience

On a overall note the stay was good. The view of the mountains from the cabin in excellent, you can see the heights of mountain and the dense forest from the cabin. All the amenities were available as mentioned. Cleaning crew has done a wonderful job, the cabin was well maintained and clean when we arrived. Bathroom towels were available for the group. The hot tub cannot accommodate more than 4 adults comfortably. We found it tough to manage the group and the kids to take turns to enjoy the tub. The lights in the tub was not working. The bathroom water from level 1 was leaking on the bed in the basement level. We were not able to use the bed at all.

Left a mess at home. Didnt expect one here

The cabin needed some real cleaning. We enjoyed the view and privacy. The cabin was like staying in a storage building. Under beds packed with holiday decorations under cabinets packed full of junk the chest of drawers full of bed linen. No where for my personal cloths. I understand owner just purchased property so he needs to get rid of previous owners junk. Beautiful plac2 just needs cleaning and some yard work. Bet it will be better next time

Million Dollar View

The name for this cabin is spot on. The view of the mountains are breathtaking, I can only imagine what it looks like in the fall! Our family wanted a weekend getaway and this cabin was definitely what was needed. It had plenty of room for the 9 of us and then some. The cabin was clean and well stocked. We will definitely stay here again, hopefully back in the fall to see the leaves change!

Beautiful view, nice and spacious

We had 5 teenagers and 4 adults; however there was plenty of space and no one was on top of each other. The only downside was the 1 lane step road coming up to the cabin; however for that view and privacy you can’t really complain about that :)
