Perfect for teens and adults

Lovely home in the mountains! Space for everyone, built in entertainment with pool table, media room, hot tub, and Dollywood’s nightly drone show and fireworks viewable from deck! We loved it here!

Peaceful

This house is beautiful it was the perfect place for my families Christmas. There is hundreds of lady bugs inside which was a new experience for us but they didn't bother us, we took them as a sign of good luck and it worked well lol would absolutely rent this home again

Great stay

This property was wonderful! We’ve been coming to pigeon forge for 5 years now and this is the best cabin we have stayed at this far. The price is great for what you get. The views are great, and everything was up to standard. There was plenty of pots and pans and dishes for whatever you want to cook. Steve was very responsive to any questions and was very polite. Would stay again, 10/10 would highly recommend.

Beautiful view

If you want to stay close to Dollywood, you couldn’t find a closer stay. We Loved the view and the Dollywood drone and fireworks show. Rooms are nice and roomy. I would suggest updating the kitchen ware and adding a spice rack.I was wanting to cook more than go out and I didn’t have much to work with. Overall loved this cabin. We will be back.

Family Vacay 2020

My family really enjoyed our stay. We arrived July 1st 2023 and left today (July 5th). Our stay was nothing short of awesome. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The view was great. We were able to sit on the porch at night and watch the fireworks and drone show at Dollywood. I think that was our kids fav part. My family and I would definitely book this cabin again. We have already recommended it to some friends.

Paradise in the Smokeys

This cabin was perfect for me and my family. We enjoyed our view and we especially enjoyed the nightly display of fireworks and drone show from Dollywood on the back balcony. The location is near downtown Pigeon Forge and right up the mountain from Dollywood. You can hear the train actually rolling on the tracks and the whistle blowing. The cabin was clean and is well kept. We loved placing the kids downstairs cut down on a lot of noise!! LOL I would recommend this cabin to anyone.

Convenient

The stay was just okay. The location of this cabin is key it’s just minutes away from Dollywood. The cleanliness wasn’t the best or the worst. The beds were comfortable however the top linen of the bedding is old and worn. The pillows were mismatched from on the bed which is ok if one prefer different firmness. The overall appearance of the cabin could use some updating and upkeep around the outside. The grass was so high that it was like hiking to get to the “gathering place”. The hot tub was swarmed with big black ants. The upstairs balcony was peacefully filled with an array of spiders. The breathtaking obstructed view would have been amazing if it wasn’t so restricted. The highlight of the cabin was the nightly firework show at Dollywood that’s visible from top deck and limited view from bottom deck. Overall the gathering place create a homey atmosphere with heights that only the Smokey’s could provide.

Not what we felt like we paid for.

We were disappointed in the upkeep of the house. The pictures on line do not represent all of the house. The staircase to the basement was not shown and so steep two of our group could not go down to the theater room at all.

Nice beautiful cabin

Beautiful cabin and secluded location. Cabin was not cleaned to what my family felt it should have been. The furniture needs to be updated alot. Cabin itself was in a good private location and comfortable. Owner was good to communicate with. Check was simple and easy. Overall I would rent this cabin again. My family had a great small get away..

Cute place.

Great location to several things my family was looking to do for the week we visited. We had one handicapped person in our group and the house was laid out in a way that allowed them to move around easily. The owner communicated with us quickly anytime we asked questions. The house was clean and while I would not blame this on the owner or his cleaning company the grounds could use a trash pick up. Looked like one of the previous renters threw bottles and can out into the trees on the property.

Fun at the Gathering

We all had a great time and enjoyed the stay at the Gathering. The home is really nice with a great view of the area. The rooms are well sized with plenty of bath rooms. We didn't really use the kitchen space, but seemed to have everything needed. The only thing that we could recommend is a little outside gardening, and clean up. There was an old heating appliance left on the side of the house and some items around the back. All in all we had a great time!! I also want to add that I believe the weather was an issue the week before we arrived so the outside maintenance may have been on a delay, and we would all plan a return trip!!

Great location

The cabin was very comfortable (though there were a lot of millipedes in the downstairs bathroom). The hot tub was clean, and the beds were soft. The best part of the cabin is the view. It’s also really well placed if you’re going to Dollywood. We basically skipped the car line every day!

Spring Break

Wonderful getaway from the busy day in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Lots of space. Loved the hot tub and views. Some trees appear to have been trimmed but with full leaves sunrise would be blocked. Enjoyed the fire pit. Rooms have very thin walls so snoring was a bit of an issue - otherwise made a fun cabin for the group.

A great weekend getaway

Lovely cabin, comfortable beds and furniture. One of the better roads I’ve been on to go up to the cabin. Close to town. Enjoyed the theater room and relaxing in front of the fireplace. My only real drawback was the trees so close to the deck. They blocked part of an amazing view, but it looked like they had started some trimming. We would definitely go back! I was surprised to find a letter asking for gratuity, I’ve never seen this before and being that we paid an additional cleaning fee, I felt this was a bit much to ask. I’m sure a cleaning service is being used but the rugs were dirty and when I opened the window blinds there were lots of dead bugs. *not a big deal but the cleaning service might want to up their game on that. Overall, we had a great weekend and would definitely rent this cabin again!

The gathering place

We arrived at our cabin on Sunday July 14. Check in was fine, the cabin was relatively clean. The towels and linens smelled of cigarette smoke badly and all had to be rewashed before using....so that was not good. Also the theater room would not work properly, after 45 minutes we finally got the system working.....it appeared the previous guests had knocked the unit off of the shelf and had rewired the unit incorrectly. The vent returns were noticably dirty and when we checked the filters they were covered with very thick buildup which was starving the system. We contacted the owner and was able to get into the owner closet and replace the filters. The bottom floor had multiple centipedes crawling everywhere. My youngest daughter refused to sleep downstairs bc she was afraid of one crawling on her. The view that was advertised online must have been from years back bc now the tree growth blocks a significant portion of your view. The beds were comfortable. The jacuzzi bathtub in the front bathroom has not been cleaned in some time as the jets blew out slimy mold once turned on. The pots and pans were all very old and not in good shape....need to be replaced even a nonexpensive set from walmart would be better than what was in the cabin. The gazebo needs some major repair.....if a small child or someone who was inebriated leaned up against it they would have fallen through and down the mountain. Not safe at all. The couch had a couple of rips in the fabric but was very comfortable. There was some trash(empty bottles, cans) around the grounds of the cabin in the back on the mountainside.......probably from prior guests which took away from the natural beauty. All in all we enjoyed our stay but next time I would look for a different cabin as this one needs some upgrades/upkeep in a few areas.

Wonderful family vacation!

Loved The Gathering Place! Beautiful, clean and very convenient, especially for a day at Dollywood. Spectacular fireworks show from the wonderful porch at night and amazing Mountain View’s during the day! Really enjoyed the theater room! Owner was great to work with! Would recommend!
