Timbers 1 is a spacious 2-story 4 bed/3 bath cabin located in the Timbers community. The cabin offers beautiful mountain views, close proximity to multiple restaurants, and easy access to Soaring Eagle's high-speed ski lift and trail system. The cozy woodwork throughout the home complements the natural surroundings, creating a warm cabin ambiance.

The home offers parking for 2-3 vehicles. There is a large mudroom entrance, perfect for storing all your gear after a fun day. The 1st floor boasts a bedroom, full bathroom, laundry closet, and an open concept kitchen and living area. The 2nd floor offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, including a master suite with a king bed and private attached bath.
**Please Note: Snowshoe Mountain Resort temporarily closes from mid-October to Thanksgiving every year for transition from mountain bike season to ski season. It is a beautiful area to explore and plenty of outdoor adventures anytime of the year, but please know amenities will be limited. Please contact us with any questions.
A Few Notes to Mention

Snowshoe Mountain Resort is known as the Island in the Sky, providing top-rated amenities and entertainment at an elevation of 4848 feet in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. Due to its location, there is no cell service within an hour from Snowshoe, and WIFI in the Village may be unreliable. Please be sure to have directions and contact numbers prior to traveling.

At Elevation Vacation Rentals we know how important connectivity is – even while vacationing – which is why we offer free WIFI at all our properties.

Ten days prior to your arrival you will have access to our online Guest Portal. The Guest Portal is your hub for important (and helpful!) information regarding your stay. One day prior to your arrival, you will receive an email with the door code, Wi-Fi, and home location information.

Quite disappointed

Place wasn’t cleaned up after last guest. Maid service was quick though. Kitchen lacked many essential items for cooking, and what it did have was in really poor condition. The grill looked nice but didn’t work. We had multiple full propane tanks. Master bedroom shower did not get hot. This place really needs some attention. We were all disappointed.

Frozen pipes

The pipes froze at the house before we arrived and the heat went out. We weren't notified until we arrived at the house. The resort was entirely booked up because it was over the holidays. We had to stay at a different house each night of our vacation (meaning packing up a family of 7 every day), which meant we barely got to ski. The management company was helpful, but did not have a contingency plan. It was a pretty terrible week for our family.

Great location and communication but house needs some work.

The house is in a great location with a short walk to the slopes and it was easy to get into the house. Unfortunately the house needs a lot of work and we had to deal with water coming through the kitchen ceiling after the upstairs shower was used. The kitchen is not properly stocked either. There was no toaster, no pans, 3 trash bags and 1.5 roll of paper towels for 5 days, etc. Also I was told there was a gas grill but not told I had to provide my own propane. Also told there was a charcoal grill but previous guests have been using that as an ashtray and portable fire place which I was not going to clean prior to use. The only reason I didn’t give this place a 2 star was because the property manager was very receptive and helpful. This place needs some significant updating.

Timbers - 1

We had a group of 8 stay for a three days weekend. Four couples in our late 20s early 30s. The house was great! Upon arrival we did notice a few minor things that the property management took care of immediately. The house is a bit more of a hike in ski boots than was perceived. I would recommend to any one to stay.

Great Property Close to Everything

We really enjoyed our weekend “guys weekend” at Timbers 1. The house is large and the amenities are great. The gas fireplace was a huge bonus. Our biggest gripe was the size of the coffee pot. 5 cups for a house that sleeps 8? C’mon! Otherwise, the place is great. Plenty of sleeping space to accommodate our group of 5 adults. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
