We bought the cottage 35 years ago and called it Cactus Cottage as Cactus was the colour on the paint chart.

Three generations plus many many friends have enjoyed its charm. Now its time to share it with Travellers.

Cactus Cottage makes for a perfect family beach holiday with inside and outside shower and toilet, covered area for towels to dry overnight and a back lawn for ball games, reading, or long lunches.

Cactus Cottage is only minutes away from beautiful Currarong beaches.

We had a wonderful short stay at Cactus Cottage, a family holiday house with large backyard .The home was immaculate, cosy, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Lei was an outstanding hostess, attentive and friendly, ensuring our visit was enjoyable and comfortable. The communication was excellent throughout, making check-in and check-out seamless. Highly recommend this accommodation for anyone visiting the area. We will be returning!

Perfect beach house for an escape

Lee was an excellent host and we had lovely long weekend in the house. The kids enjoyed playing in the big garden, everything worked well and there were plenty of supplies of all the things we needed - kitchen items, towels etc. Would be happy to stay again and highly recommend to others!

Wonderful week at Cactus Cottage

Cactus cottage quickly felt like home with everything we needed and more. Teens loved the location just a short walk to the beach, doggos loved the huge backyard and plentiful ball supply! Thank you Lee - a wonderful host and a very special place.

Currarong originality

we loved staying at Currarong and enjoyed the homely/simple abode that had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Probably not for everyone but if you like simplicity like us then you will enjoy the stay. Only double beds which again was fine for us

Great place to relax

We had everything we needed for our stay and both the kids and our dog really enjoyed the big, enclosed back yard. Location is great and the host went above and beyond to accommodate us. I would definitely recommend.

Cactus cottage Currarong perfect place for a beach holiday

A very cute authentic beach shack with lovely large shady backyard .Cactus Cottage was really well equipped for a beach holiday , with heaps of bath & beach towels hats & games & books. It was so great to have another freezer/ fridge in the laundry. Lee was very helpful and easy to communicate with & left home made biscuits for our family to enjoy . Lee even posted back an item we forgot ! We throughly enjoyed our time at Cactus Cottage thanks Lee

Comfy cottage with a great vibe

We enjoyed our stay in cactus cottage. The owner kindly left us freshly baked cookies. It has a lovely simple vibe, with a beautiful gum tree out the back. It’s quiet and comfortable. The outdoor shower was a winner. I would stay here again. Thanks for having us!

Cosy character cottage with a great back yard

We had a lovely week long stay at Cactus Cottage in October. The weather wasn’t the best but we made the most of it, and Lee’s place has plenty of board games and books to keep you occupied. Lee was a great host, very communicative and answered any questions we had immediately. There is everything you need for a great family holiday here, plus little extra touches of personality and love. It’s clear that this is a much loved family holiday home and we were delighted by it. We will be back soon!

Good property and well maintained
