A peaceful retreat at this 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home on north Lake Leelanau. Enjoy 100' of waterfront fun. This home has a large yard that walks out to the water. Dock.

This cute little cottage has a spacious living room with a great view of the lake. The kitchen is off of the living room and also faces the lake. 3 bedrooms feature 2 queens, 1 full. Sheets and towels are included. WIFI.

Outdoors, enjoy the spacious backyard with 100' of gorgeous Lake Leelanau lakefront. This is a sunset view property that is not to be missed. The skies in Northern Michigan are simply the best. There is a dock provided. Enjoy sitting under the shade of the cedar trees or stretching out in the sun. There is a grill and fire pit.

This lovely area is between Leland and Lake Leelanau town center. So when you need groceries or want to go out to dinner, you are only minutes away. There are so many fantastic places to dine. Sleeping Bear Dunes is about half an hour away. If you want to visit Lake Michigan, check out Vans or South Beach in Leland or travel a few more miles to Good Harbor Beach. Enjoy this beautiful great lake and watch spectacular sunrises.

The boat lift is NOT available for guests. We are sorry, no pets are allowed.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve stayed here before. We love the location. But we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. We found dirty dishes in the dishwasher. A waste basket in the bedroom had not been emptied. The television was really hard to find the football game. I don’t know what was different from last year.

This home was ok! I’m not a fan of septic tanks and it was a huge downfall Not having a washer and dryer! Home smelled old! Overall as a last minute home it was fine.

Great Location for a Quiet Time more Adult than Family

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Home was located in a beautiful part of the lake. perfect size home for a get away in a quiet area with sounds of all sorts of birds and wild life. Plenty of food and places to visit down the street and within an hour drive. House was cozy enough for the 4 adults and 2 teenagers ages 14 and 15. Issues/concerns were they didn't allow us to dock a boat due to liability issues they didn't want to occur, which to a point we can respect. The amount of cameras the house has outside is crazy and when we were just sitting there having coffee outside or a fire at night talking the cameras were always going off as in watching. Made the stay very uncomfortable. The neighbors on the left side holy____ did not like the fact the house was being occupied. Dirty looks all the time from one of the two adults wont call which one out. Again they made you feel as well we couldn't even talk outside on vacation cause they were annoyed. The one bathroom that had the only shower was so moldy and broken faucet and just in bad shape. Personally we would not go again here with our kids due to the reasons above but for an older couple who just wants quiet time and beautiful views, great location.

Nice place but...

We picked this place on the water cause my husband loves to fish. Unfortunately he tied up to the dock and we got a call saying we weren't allowed to dock the boat, it only can be used for loading/unloading... whatever that means. We were really bummed and never heard of that before, so we won't be coming back. Otherwise it's a nice place especially if you don't have a boat that you need to maneuver in and out of a small driveway several times a day.

The coffee pot needs to be cleaned! It took 20 minutes to brew a pot! Also there is a pipe that comes out of the ceiling on the furnace that leaked when it rained all day. There was a bucket already sitting on top of the furnace so there must have been a leak before We put another bucket down because it was dripping on the floor. We mopped it all up once it stopped raining We love the location and the house!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was equipped with kitchen items. Water quality was an issue- it was quite iron. Bathtub draining issues- management sent plumber twice- not resolved 100%- ok for quick shower only. Furniture was not comfortable in living but kitchen table and outdoor fine. Definitely a cottage - not a long term place.

Loved the lake life!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Location was perfect, minutes away from wineries, golfing and shopping. Cottage was very spacious inside and outside. It had everything we needed in addition to several thoughtful additions like nice serving dishes, games, towels, dishwasher, seating, etc. The dock was very nice and the lake was very clear. The exterior is much nicer than the picture shown on Vrbo. We spent a lot of time on the large deck. The neighbors on both sides were very friendly. This is a gorgeous place, very thankful for the opportunity to rent this!

Sunset Shores Birthday Weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The stay was great in this house. I chose for the waterfront and the proximity to some of my favorite places in Leelanau. There is a lovely coffee shop nearby which was great. The home was clean. The staff was helpful when we arrived there was a mixup with the door code but even though it was after 5pm the staff of Up North Vacation Rentals called us back right away and got it resolved within a few minutes. The only things I would just let others be aware of are that the home has well water so you will want to bring drinking water as the water has a very strong suffer smell. Also we only booked for a weekend and the intro supply of things provided by the home was not helpful for cleaning. One dishwasher pod and enough dish soap to do dishes One time. Next time we will bring these items from home but did not think we would need to for only a weekend away. I would stay here again but for longer so we could enjoy it more then just one weekend.

Disappointed

Was very excited to stay at a lake property in Northern MI, but was disappointed with our host. Hard to get in touch with rental management regarding what exactly was stocked, so I ended up over spending and supplying house with items I was told would not be in the house, but then were there. On the surface, the home looked acceptable in regards to cleanliness, buf right away I noticed cabinets had many crumbs in them and did not want to store food in there. After using the toilets and shower an odor of sewage was noted and we drank bottled water and did not shower thereafter. I also found a cockroach in my luggage. One last thing, we contracted swimmer’s itch, so went to public beaches after that bc we were scared to get back in the lake.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is on a beautiful lake, the living room is very comfortable and cozy. Very nice porch to sit and have meals or coffee on. Everyone enjoyed the stay although we spent most of our time exploring the area. Property is nice, but some maintenance should be performed on the bathroom shower and it would have been helpful to have a washer/dryer onsite. It was a holiday weekend, so I'd imagine it would be hard to find a plumber. There was space for a w/d so I'd expect that would be rectified soon. Recommendations: Leland has Fishtown for the cuteness and the Cove for a meal. Van's beach is a nice swimming beach, but had an alewive issue when we were there. ****'s Pour House is nearby for Beer and Pizza.Carry out from Niccoletto's was fantastic.Suttons Bay Bikes has friendly rentals for paddleboards/ kayaks (and bikes).Traverse Tall Ships Moomers Ice Cream Cruise was swell and fun for the kids.Sleeping Bear Surf is an adorable shop in Empire.
