Family vacation

The experience of staying up in the mountains was incredible. The sights were beautiful, the pool and hot tub area were wonderful and the cabin was perfect.

Amazing views!

Our family had a great vacation stay! There was plenty of space for the 3 of us, and they even had a wooden kids toy set that our 1.5 year old loved! The pack n play and high chair were clean and well taken care of.

Nice place with great view!

The view from the place was spectacular! The condo was very clean. Only down side, it’s up pretty far elevation wise which we didn’t know before riding up the mountain. Other than that it was a wonderful visit and I plan to bring my family up again!

Great Place

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of this mountain retreat. The balcony offered a great space to relax and take in the views. And we got some incredible photos. Given it was 4th of July weekend, we really appreciated the ease with which we could enter the national park without encountering Parkway traffic. Easy access to the bypass also made coming and going much more pleasant. We didn’t have to get into any traffic, other than when we chose to visit downtown Gatlinburg for a few hours. Great spot. Would happily stay here again.

Amazing views!

Saw 2 bears while there! Pool and hot tubs are amazing!!! Game room was not that great, but kids used pool everyday! Would def stay here again.

Great place high on the mountain

We loved this place a little slice of heaven atop of the smokies. It’s peaceful up there and everything you need besides groceries are there. This was our first time staying but it surely won’t be our last.

Beautiful view, not so beautiful overall experience

Let me start by saying the view was beautiful. Everything was bare minimum. Coffee maker but no coffee and no store nearby to purchase. The apartment is very outdated, the bathrooms / showers barely functional, outlet covers missing (wife got shocked trying to plug in a phone charger), extremely noisy upstairs neighbors. Heat / AC wasn’t working upon arrival, (breaker was tripped.) Messaged host and never heard back. For the price we paid, I wouldn’t consider these things acceptable. Would not book again.

Nice place to stay. Gorgeous view! Kids loved the pool & hot tub. Some of the issues we had were dirty dishes, second bathroom shower head & lighting in the rooms.

Gatlinburg Ober Mountain Ski Resort Condo

The view of the ski resort and zip line was amazing especially watching the night skiing. It captured everyone’s attention. We had a broken toilet seat on arrival and the repairman was there in less than two hours. There were not enough electrical outlets and they brought a 2 prong not a three prong (my fault I didn’t specify) I would suggest bringing your own extension cord. The ski resort took 40 minutes to get to later in the day so I would advise getting there when it opens then it only takes 10 minutes and buy the parking pass. The TV was older and did not have streaming nor mirroring ability. I recommend bringing a family game or cards. In the winter I would recommend 4x4 the roads were steep and a lot of sharp turns. The snow was made as it was not cold enough end of December.

Top of the mountain

Clean, easy experience. Beautiful drive up winding roads to the top of the mountain. 30 minutes to Dollywood. We even saw a black bear while driving up each night. Thanks

The property was up high but it was a fun experience driving and hoping not to run off the road because they were narrow. Overall this property was great for my little getaway and I got to do everything that I had planned on doing. It was right between Pidgeon Forge and Gatlinburg and driving to both was so easy to navigate. I would most definitely book again. Check in and check out was the easiest I have ever seen.

Beautiful view

Beautiful view, check in was easy. Lots of bears! The drive up was intense, but worth it. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It would have been nice if the description noted that laundry was available on site but at a cost. Condo needs updates and improvements.

We had a nice stay.

Everything was as listed! However the wifi never did work and the fireplace never did work. I contacted the property manager when we noticed both were not working and he sent someone the next to fix but I don't know if anyone ever came to fix or not. We were gone exploring and came back to the fireplace still not working. We chose that location for a fireplace so that bummed us out but all in all the views were great and the place was extremely clean!!

Check the cleanliness!

So let me start off by saying Gatlinburg High Chalet is a very nice place- we have stayed here prior years in other condo rooms with other owners. The location is peaceful. Now let me get into my experience with this room. We check in with an overwhelming smell of women’s perfume, go to open the closet door and it falls off the tracks. There is someone’s children’s artwork still hanging on the refrigerator , Takes us 3-4 minutes to find out the smell is one side of the sheets-(only top sheet) on the left side of the bed. So we start digging a little deeper into cleanliness (smell was bad enough for us to open a window- strong perfume), hair in both shower drains, on shower wall and bathroom walls, dishes put away wet with dirty food, cleaner DID come out and change sheets and wipe down showers the day we called right after check in and brought some light bulbs, (I was not comfortable with the cleanliness of anything after that ) so yes- in a way it was “resolved” there were lots of things in need of repair, missing light bulbs (4) plug covers, door handles, bed frame, closet door, shower curtains were stained, minimal decor and minimal dishes that were in good enough condition to use. I was surprised this unit had a good deal of great reviews, cleaner also stated she had to pull a double shift to clean it before we got there but I am not so sure.

Amazingly Beautiful

We just stayed here for 5 days it was a nice clean condo with a beautiful amazing view! This condo is at the tip of the mountain, so if your like us, you will enjoy it! Also it has 2 bathrooms, which is a big plus. I have rented places before that didn’t offer many things as seasonings, oil, coffee & filters ( so we brought our own this time) but this one was well stocked with a lot of things we didn’t have to bring. This was a very nice and relaxing stay, I highly recommend staying here!
