Wonderful weekend!

We had a fantastic weekend at this beautiful vacation home. It had all the necessary supplies and the extra amenities made it feel extra special. The neighborhood was impressive and the nearby (clean) dog park was a huge bonus for our dog. Would highly recommend and stay here again and again.

Unsatisfactory

It says 3 bedrooms, but there is only 2. And some small fold away cots in a storage area. The breaker panel that is located in the ceiling trips quite frequently, and the owner told me there is limited power supply to there ….. There was no thermostat so I could turn some heat on, when I tried to plug in the fireplace, the breaker tripped. The hot tub was not very hot, wasn’t filled up and only 1 quarter of the jets worked. We were very afraid that there was going to be a fire, so we tried to unplug everything we could so the breaker wouldn’t trip. So sad, as I was looking forward to a nice relaxing trip. The dryer wouldn’t try the clothing, so I had to go find a laundromat. Not a fun way to spend a holiday

Home away from home!

Surrey Vrbo property was wonderful! It was truly our home away from home and with all the sight seeing and visiting family, we looked forward to getting back ‘home’. Thank you so much!

Basement apartment

Overall the rental was clean and most things in working order. Could have used a few more kitchen supplies. We were most bothered by the sound of walking feet at nighttime when trying to sleep. So light sleepers might not do well in this downstairs apartment.

Nicely decorated and very clean

This is a very clean, updated basement apartment in a nice neighborhood. The hosts are very responsive. We had an issue of the microwave shutting down, and the dishwasher’s top shelf couldn’t be loaded or the door wouldn’t close and run the cycle, so we ended up hand washing most of the dishes. Since the hosts live upstairs, we could hear them walking until very late.

Great stay in Surrey!

The gang had a great stay - the pool table was well used! It's the basement of a nice house in a quiet neighbourhood. Nitpicks: Directions to the suite were a bit confusing as the house is in a cul-de-sac but access is from the side, on the main street. The TV setup defied an easy solution - it may profit from a different setup or clearer instructions (I'm no expert but I usually can figure these out). That said, we would definitely go back! Thanks again!

Great family getaway home!!

This was a great family getaway for a quick Christmas trip! My husband and I took our 4 kids, ages 6-19, and the house met the needs of all our family. The home was clean and in a great safe neighborhood. My only frustration is that the listing never says you’re in the daylight basement of a home with the owners living upstairs. The address given in the directions from the owners took us to a real estate business, not the actual home of the listing. Would stay here again!! Thank you for helping us make fun memories of Canada!

Spacious house in quite neighborhood

Surrey house Pros *The area is really nice and quiet *The house (the lower area we stayed in) is really nice and spacious. *The beds were comfy *Really nice bathroom with heated floors and lots of shower heads *It was excellent having a sauna and a pool table *Plenty of dishes, pots and pans to use along with some basic cooking oil and spices. *Washer and dryer available *Pets allowed and they have a small doggie bed you can use *Check out is at 1030 and we let them know that we’d be leaving soon and they told us we didn’t need to rush- that was a plus. *Street parking was easy- there was plenty of it Cons: *You could hear footsteps throughout the house - the owners live upstairs. *Pets not allowed on the beds *There were a few spiders around the house- not big ugly ones, just daddy long legs. Webs w/spiders in a couple corners and behind the small dresser in one of the bedrooms. Overall, it was a GREAT stay and we really enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. The owners were very nice and even came to our rescue when we accidentally locked ourselves out. We’d definitely stay here again. 👍 👍 👍 🐾

Lovely home & hosts - Details needed prior to stay

First, we enjoyed our stay for the most part & the hosts were very responsive. We played a lot of pool games & enjoyed the hot tub. The good + Kitchen-good amount of cookware. Salt&pepper & cooking oil, coffee, cocoa & sugar in cupboard of the kitchen. Hosts bought half & half for us as well. Dishwasher had a top shelf broken - hosts were aware but hadn't been able to repair. Provided fresh scrub brush & sponge upon request. Laundry + detergent pods. Towels were nice, could use a few more. Rented during Christmas & there were decorations, which we appreciated. Must note for future guests: This rental is the bottom level of the hosts home, accessible from a hall stairway - the hosts can be audibly heard throughout the unit, footsteps & faint voices bothersome at times. *noteworthy* during a holiday party they hosted on Christmas eve, heard a lot of noise & we weren't alerted until we mentioned it. They did finish up before true quiet hours. During the party upstairs we had children (not ours) enter unit from the hall stairway, that were attending the party upstairs entered our rented space & kitchen area. That was a shock, we believed that door to be locked/secured & not so easy to access. I hate complaining, but that was unsettling even if it was an accident. Other than that, the hosts were lovely to communicate with, we never met them in person or saw them. Thank you for the visit! Wish you well on all you do!
