Our very favourite place in all of Roatan

Wonderful property, pictures don’t do it justice, right on the water, the view is incredible, had a small boat and motor for our entire stay and spent hours exploring the area. Great fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and great restaurants close by. Our host Rosina is so knowledgeable of the area, very helpful and one of the nicest women we have ever met. Love it here.

The suite was clean. However not suitable for anyone that is not able bodied as the stairs down to it are rocks, uneven and not well lit. If you are looking to hang out, relax or cook a meal this place is NOT for you. There is no comfortable seating inside or out. Only folding wood chair outside and folding metal chair inside. The bed is the only place to stretch out. No place to put your suitcase other then the floor. Would be very difficult to cook anything. The dock is in ill repair with no chairs to sit on it and no ladder to access the water. The ‘beachfront’ is not swimmable as it’s rocky, muddy and full of sea grass. Also we recommend an SUV to get to this house as the roads to it are gravel, steep and bumpy

Overall we liked the place but there were a few things that could have been better. On the positive side: Very clean on arrival but limited means to keep it so. Very good location within walking distance of several locations of interest. Good air conditioning and ventilation. Nice deck and yard. The things that could be improved: We asked for and received a bbq for cooking (thanks) but it didn’t work as the regulator was defective. The frying pan were new but only one pot and no lids for all. The knives were poor and dull so I purchased one and left behind. No dust pan so we purchased and left behind. The photo of the cabin can not be seen from the road and as a result you really need to take very careful attention to the location before you go look for it. A sign would be really helpful. Only one wine glass, we purchased a second and left behind. Nice to have contact for cleaning. Nice to have airport pickup even for a fee as we had a hard time finding the place as it is not visible from the road. No bath mats and tea towels, we purchased some and left behind. Overall we liked the place but it could have been a little better with attention to some of the little things as discussed above.
