Tom's house is lovely. It's an old-fashioned farmhouse, but with good mattresses and updated electrical and plumbing. The porch swinging chair looks out onto a large lawn. It's not far to Bryce Canyon, so you can beat the crowds or go back in the evening, and the town of Tropic itself is small but has what you need. We enjoyed the Tropic 4th of July fair, complete with a pie eating contest.
