  • Stunning property in an idyllic rural setting

"Whilst in a remote location, Bear's Paw Lodge is a fabulous detached house surrounded by stunning mountains & beautiful rural vistas. The property is particularly spacious and provided a warm, comfortable & welcoming atmosphere in which our group of 4 were able to relax. The 6 acre site has beautiful landscaped lawns & wooded areas to explore with deer & other wild life visiting us on a regular basis. Dan, the resident caretaker was a really great guy, providing us with friendly advice & assistance with any query we had regarding the house & local places of interest. Bear's Paw Lodge is located in the Blaeberry Valley & is approx. 20 minutes drive from Golden where there are cafes, shops & other attractions. Sadly, the local Mobery pub/restaurant is no longer open & therefore the closest restaurants available were in Golden itself - unless of course you ate at home using the great kitchen facilities available in the Lodge. This is truly a fabulous accommodation, meticulously maintained & cared for - a great place to either relax, or use as a base to visit the many National Parks which are all within an hour's drive of the property."

  • Beautiful secluded location

"Everything was great. Very very kid friendly for families needing to get away and relax in a small and quiet community. Loved the table for dining and the views of the lake were great. We definitely got to see some wildlife and we were not far from some really fun towns including Fairmont and Invermere which has a beach and fun Brewery."

  • Beautiful Mountain Villa

"Our summer vacation was spent at this beautiful 2 bedroom mountain style villa. We spent a week hiking St.Mary's falls, lunch at Caminco gardens, following the steps of the gold rush, a train ride into the coal mine, and played ping pong and a giant chess game in the Platzl. The kids are asking to go back for a ski trip as they want to go for a ride on the chair lift. We will be back as the villa was very spacious and we had a full kitchen to do all of our cooking. There were plenty of towels for the hot tub and the bbq's and picnic tables were so nice after our long days. Thanks Jerry for the hospitality:)"
