  • Great house with glorious view

"We had a great weekend with a family reunion at this home with 10 people. The house worked out perfectly with plenty of room and all necessities for a great stay. The swimming pool was the highlight of the trip for the 3 kids and adults to play in. On top of that, the view of Vancouver, the mountains and harbor were fantastic. Happy hour and meals were outside with pool and view. The location is in a quiet residential area but close to shopping and parks on the water. Even the Suamish mountain chairlift was a close driving distance. The house was clean, modern and very pleasant. Vancouver traffic can be a bit of a hassle but the countryside is fantastic"

"My husband, our housekeeper, our dog and I had a great 9 day stay at Conor's lovely house in West Vancouver. I selected this house specifically because I'd heard so much about West Vancouver - and it had a great fenced yard for our dog (during the daytime). We used it as a base to get to know Vancouver and West Vancouver. The house is updated and is on three floors with an elevator (thankfully-- great for hauling luggage up and down -- we had just come from Whistler and we had a lot!) . The lower floor of the house has a full sized screening room fully stocked with hundreds of movies. All the bedrooms are ensuite. The house is in an upscale neighborhood - and is a two minute drive from grocery stores and any amenities you might need. There is a beautiful beach about five minutes away with an off leash area at one end for dogs. The "city" -- i.e., downtown Vancouver, is about a 20-30 minute drive over the bridge. Conor was a terrific host - he could not have been more gracious -- he was at the house to let us in show us around, and was available any time we had questions. A couple of things for non-Canadian travelers to be aware of about Vancouver --March is rainy -- i.e., torrentially rainy -so rainy that on some days, we decided not to brave the weather for exploring. Second -- if you bring a dog -- be aware that skunks and raccoons travel around the neighborhoods at night - so even if you let your dog into a fenced yard to toilet after dark, you must stay with them and keep them on a leash, lest they run into a skunk. We didn't know this before arriving - and originally had visions of letting our dog in and out of the house as she pleased. During the day that works -- not at night. All in all -- Conor is a great and accommodating host -- and his home is a lovely base from which to explore the area."

  • Great views and comfortable home for 2 families.

"We wanted a good place that was close to the skiing hills in Vancouver & whistler and still have the option of going to Vancouver for short trips. Gail's property was perfect. 15 mins from everything in Vancouver and also cypress / grouse. And 1.5 hours from Whistler. The home was also fully furnished and had plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids. The kitchen was perfect, the fire place kept us warm throughout the stay."
