  • The property is well maintained with a new deck out front and a lovely back yard.

"The cottage was neat and tidy with enough floor space to operate a walker sine my husband has some mobility issues. We ,enjoyed the park on the Lake as well as shopping in Bayfield. We both enjoyed going into Bayfield, my husband on his scooter and I could walk. We also enjoyed touring the area of Goderich, etc. Hope to do it again next year."

  • Amazing cottage with private beach and breathtaking sunsets!

"We had a fantastic time at Sandy Shores. The cottage is lovely and well represented in the photos. You have everything you need to feel right at home. The spacious deck has the most beautiful view of Lake Huron. We were blown away with the incredible sunsets and enjoyed stargazing every night. There are newly built steps down to the private beach which is perfect for sunbathing. The beds are comfortable and the shower has great pressure. We loved not having a TV and caught up on lots of reading and played board games. We loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves. The cottage is very close to the Pinery, Grand Bend, and our favourite, Bayfield. There are lots of quaint shops and restaurants on Main Street. We particularly liked The Little Inn of Bayfield for it's delicious breakfast. We needed another week to explore more of the Bluewater area. It was a wonderful relaxing week, a truly great cottage experience and we look forward to staying at Sandy Shores again."

  • The best of the old and the new!

"The Lancaster House has all the charm of a classic old building but when you step inside, everything is new, modern and spotless. With a well stocked kitchen you can easily make your own meals if you don't feel like going out, do your laundry, or sit back and relax. We will definitely stay here again if we have the option."

  • Girls' Weekend in Goderich - Fantastic!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nelson House. From initial contacts with Robin & James, to our welcome by Dory, to our delight that the home was everything as pictured and beyond. Rooms are large and yet cozy at the same time. Bed linens were a high quality and a treat to slip into at night. Pianos (x 2!!) - an unexpected bonus for our impromptu sing-alongs. :) The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with cutlery, utensils, stemware, dishes, pots, pans....I could go on and on! We have rented several times through VRBO, and Nelson Home is one of the best for comfort, size & supplies. The weather did not cooperate for our three days in Goderich, so we could not take advantage of the outdoor gazebo or beautiful front porch. Very accessible to downtown - so much within walking distance. We look forward to staying at Nelson House again in the future."
