  • Fabulous Time Had By All

"We stayed at Treasure Point with 3 generations of my family and we all had the best time there. The log cabin is absolutely breath-taking and the owners have put so much thought into the fine details of making it a home away from home. From ages 1 to 72, there was something to do for everyone and plenty of space both indoors and out to enjoy the beautiful setting that Treasure Point is situated upon. From puzzles to games, fishing and swimming, there was so much to do that we never had a boring moment. The large spaces from kitchen to dining room, outdoor porch, lakeside dock were so accommodating for our large group. Even sharing the 1 bathroom was not an issue. We thank Tim and Nancy for such a wonderful experience and would gladly go back the next chance we get. A wonderful, unforgettable time."

  • Great cottage in a beautiful island spot

"We had a wonderful time at this peaceful cottage. There is lots of space with 3 bedrooms in the main cottage, and two more spacious cabins, it is super clean and well organized, while still maintaining a "cottagey" feeling that we were looking for. There are various spots to sit and enjoy the scenery, from the dock with lounge chairs to a great deck with a big table to have dinner outside and watch the sunset. We enjoyed canoeing, kayaking around the other islands, and the swimming was great, the water is shallow enough to walk in, but gets nice and deep further out. The owners are very welcoming and pleasant, we had a great experience. We definitely recommend this great cottage in a beautiful spot, and will probably return in future years!"

  • Excellent and wonderful owners. Maria & Bruce were incredible hosts!

"This property is absolutely perfect in every way. We had all the comforts needed. We could sleep our entire family comfortably without feeling like we were on top of each other. The layout works perfect. We had 2 rainy days and the inside was enough space for us all to hang out. The lake water felt warm and silky and we had easy access in and out. It was easy to have my mother with us (she has a heart condition and can not scale inclines or rough terrain). She could easily get around and in and out of the water off the dock ladder. The bunk house is absolutely gorgeous and just a treat to sleep in. I claimed that spot right away! The best parts overall: the location, dock, water, decks, loons, view and atmosphere. Worst parts: when I originally found this place online I was doing a random search. I noticed the area (of Ontario Canada), that it was part of Canada Stays, owned by Canadians and in what I thought was Canadian dollars, so I clicked to book. Somehow and not completely obvious, I managed to be on the VRBO site (affiliated with Canada Stays), so therefore, although I saw the Canadian pricing and thought that's what I clicked, I was charged in American dollars. They took quite a chunk and refused to reimburse me and book it via their Canadian site. So we paid far too much and was stuck with that. THIS IS IN NO REFLECTION OF THE COTTAGE OWNERS, as they also couldn't help or have it reversed (they tried). ALSO.....Canada Stays did not pay them their cut until 3 days after we were here and we booked this back in March. So...consider this a warning, read the fine print of Canada Stays and VRBO. They cleverly set it up to take more money from Canadians. I won't ever use them again and will stick to Airbnb from now on. If you find Cottage LaMed in your search. ..do stay there, but don't get hosed by VRBO."

  • The perfect romantic getaway for two.

"This beautiful cottage on Chandos Lake was the perfect romantic getaway for two. The breathtaking views from the cottage from the early morning in to the evening did not dissapoint. All the spectacular fall colours made this trip even better. We were able to take the canoe out for the day and go fishing, followed by an afternoon of lounging in the hammock. There is a small waterfall close to property and everything you need is only a little trip away in to town. Warm nights by the fire was the perfect way to end the evening. We are so thankful to have been able to have this time away together and grateful for the owners to allow us to share in this beautiful oasis away from the city. Harrison & Kealey"
