  • Bermudaful!

"We had a terrific vacation in Bermuda and enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean, larger than expected and we were pleased to have all the amenities of home. We took advantage of the beautiful weather and scootered around the island all day and barely saw our hosts, however, Rosalyn was very knowledgeable and accommodating during our stay. I did get the opportunity to talk with her about the history of the island and her amazing family. She graciously assisted us with finding a taxi (I highly recommend to make reservations in advance, give them specific directions, AND double check on them). We were happy to find the location was so close to the dockyard where there were some sailing events going on. Rosalyn recommended a great place for breakfast/lunch on our way and were excited to find a secluded beach on the way home. Sorry we didn't make it to the beaches in walking distance - we've already decided to come back so we can check them out! Thanks to our great hosts!"

  • Neston Place - Bermuda

"We loved, loved our recent stay. The property had fabulous views. It is located in between both St. George and Hamilton. We rented a scooter to get around the island. The house had a nice large pool. The Poolside Unit studio was a perfect size with plenty of room and nice breezes. We only used the air conditioner one afternoon. We sat on the porch every morning and night. We had the use of Kayaks at our disposal as well. We used the grill by the pool for dinner a couple of nights. There were 2 rain ponchos in the closet which we unfortunately had to use, but it was a great touch to have those available to us. The owner of the property, Wayne, was super nice and helpful during our entire stay. We so enjoyed talking to him and learning more about Bermuda, its history, its politics and it's people. His family was very nice and helpful as well. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We were so sad to leave after having stayed a week. We will MOST DEFINITELY return - one of our best vacations EVER! My only suggestion would be to bring paper plates, bowls, cups and utensils if you plan on eating a lot at the property, (which we did), and don't want to wash dishes. The unit itself had minimal silverware and dishes. There is a grocery store, pizza place and gas station very close to the property as well."

  • Very nice stay

"Sabrina is a wonderful energetic host with all the answers, so ask her if you need something. The place was comfortable, especially the bed. Six minute walk to the bus stop. Lots of paper info in the room to help you. Kitchen worked great. I will return here someday. By the time I left Sabrina and a neighbor were friends of mine."

  • We loved Gemstones!!

"The Wilsons have a lovely vacation rental. They are very welcoming and helpful and the property and the views from the house are fabulous. Property was beautifully maintained, clean and space was much larger than expected. The space was perfect for our party of six - four adults, an 8 year old and a teenager. All were comfortable and each couple and child had a private space in the house. We loved the beach which was accessed by a path in front of the house. Might be a little treacherous for some, but we are in our 60's and had no problem. It is actually a good little work out coming back up. We also used our scooters to go down and pick up beach stuff to bring back to house. The snorkeling was great, especially early in the morning when the sun is shining directly into the water. You have restaurant/food availability within walking distance. Since we had scooters, we shopped at several local markets and cooked a lot ourselves. The outdoor grill was very nice and the kitchen is stocked with whatever you need for cooking. For reasonably priced restaurants we recommend Portofinos in Hamilton for a great Italian meal. If you get to St. Davids/St. Georges, there is an ice cream, hot dog, hamburger place in the former security shack (front gate) at the old US Navy base that is excellent for lunch or a snack. There is also a nice little restaurant at the old base which once housed the McDonalds which has good pizza, sandwiches and chicken. "Sylvia" was helpful and wonderful, arranging transportation for our luggage first, so we did not waste any island time on our scooters and again on our trip to the airport on the sad day we had to leave, when some of the cab drivers were on strike. We most highly recommend GEMSTONES and hope to stay there again."
