  • Paradise on the East End

"That beach! It is better than the pictures portray which hardly seems possible. We enjoyed it for 5 days in December just before Christmas. Working with the owner Sandra to book was very convenient. She was responsive and patient especially when trying to get our payments processed through our very protective credit card. Her directions and all recommendations were excellent. When we arrived the very friendly house manager greeted us. The pictures are very accurate. We had everything and more than we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was tons of space for our family of 5 (3 teenagers). The sand is pristine as is the water. The snorkeling right out front was some of the best we had! We enjoyed walking on the beach, our 15 year old son broke open coconuts and we made toasted coconut for snacking. We all agreed we enjoyed coming back to East End to our private beach at the end of a busy day. It is a bit of a drive but totally worth it. The home is recently renovated, still a few lose ends to finish up but nothing major. It is the windy side of the island so great for watching kite surfers sometimes too windy just to hang around. We were there on a windy week. Definitely go to Italian Kitchen and Bombay Chopsticks (I wrote reviews for both). We tend to eat on the later side (7:30-8pm) we eventually learned that most people ate earlier after we were alone in some restaurants. We also really liked Eagle Ray's Dive Bar. Does not look like much but the food was crazy fresh especially the lion fish tacos totally lived up to all the hype. We used Cayman Private Charters for 4 hours it was the highlight of our trip by far and worth every dime. So pleased with our rental choice. Thanks Sandra!"

  • A Perfect Stay in Paradise

"Let me first start off by saying that I am pretty well traveling throughout the Caribbean. I generally do not stay at all inclusive resorts and stay clear of overly crowed hotels. Therefore, I did have high expectations with my first trip to Grand Cayman. After many hours spent researching the internet, I made the correct decision of booking Jon and Carol's condo, room #25. The condo was just perfect. Clean, organized, properly working AC, all home amenities that you could ask for. To me, there is something special about being on vacation, and NOT waiting for a hotel elevator to take you up to your floor. The grounds were very well kept. Very tropical with all the palm trees, lawn and flowers in perfect order. The place really was maintained nicely. The beach.....well lets just say nothing short of awesome. The blue water with the white sand, did not disappoint. Being a beach snob, I don't like swimming in seaweed, or having to maneuver around coral or rocks. The conditions were perfect. Not to mentioned, what a nice relief knowing that whenever you choose to hit the beach, a lounger awaits. NO need to get up at 6am, just to secure your chair with a towel or magazine. - Oh, did I mention the beach is private for the condo users only, patrolled by condo security. Again, very nice knowing you never had to fight for space, or the perfect spot. Spent a little time in the heated pool. Again, very clean, deep and well maintained. The pool house has a ping pong table for the guests to use. It was actually a big hit and provided a lot of fun when you just wanted a break from the sun. In summary, I have nothing negative to report back with. The restaurants were great too. Carol or a member of her team will provide recommendations on dining, etc. All were spot on. I look forward to returning again."

  • Mary's Condo

"We stayed at Mary's condo for 10 days in January 2017and only needed to call Barbara (the property manger) twice; once to tell her that we arrived and the second time at check-out to say that we were sadly leaving; we truly enjoyed Mary's condo and the island and had a great great time....our 10 days went by so fast. Both Mary's condo and Reef Resort are very nice and very clean and exceeded our expectation. The Reef Resort is well situated to Rum Point, Star Fish Point, Pedro St. James, Botanic Garden and busy George Town/Seven Mile Beach. A rental car is a must. We put 475 miles on the little KIA we rented and saw the entire island, including Hell and Rum Point (twice) – obviously Rum Point was our favorite spot. We ate at the Tukka, Over the Edge, at the Reef Resort itself, Morritts and the White House on our last night on the island. All good food. Tried the iguana, crocodile and kangaroo at the Tukka, even ate at the Big Tree BBQ. We shopped at the Cayman Craft Market in George Town and at the Craft Market in Camana Bay who’s vendors featured local island ware. All interesting hand made/home made items with informative stories behind each from the friendly resident Cayman vendors. Saw a couple of blue iguanas at the Botanic Garden and took our picture with Jack, the 37 year old donkey, at Pedro St James!!! Our last night was capped off with the pink house at the end of the Reef Resort beach shooting off a wonderful display of fireworks - but for whatever reason, what a way to conclude a fantastic vacation. We have already made our minds up to go back to the Caymans and will certainly be booking with Mary again."

  • Snuggle Beach

"A dream come true where you could walk out the front door and be standing on the beach. Far away from the crowds and noise of 7 mile beach but close enough that a leisurely drive could take you there."
