  • Great vacation

"My wife and I just returned from a week at Kaibo Dreams. We have stayed at many VRBO listed condos/homes but I have never written a review on any of them. There was always something that we would have wanted to change or correct but they were minor and I didn't want to be "that guy". There was nothing we would change about this one bedroom condo. It was in immaculate shape and the kitchen and bathroom had been recently completely remodeled. The condo is on a really nice beach and the area is so quiet that we often felt like we were the only ones there. The boats coming and going from the Kaibo marina (mostly around lunch time) were a welcome distraction as they gave us something to watch. There are a number of really nice restaurants in and around the area where we had fantastic meals. All in all it was a great week and we would not hesitate to return to Kaibo Dreams. BUT...and I hate to bring this up because it has nothing to do with the condo the situation at the airport is a mess. There is construction going on so it appears that it will be getting better but until it does it left a bad impression as you left the island. It is too small, understaffed and chaotic. Absent the airport, though, this condo and Grand Cayman itself, was a wonderful place to spend a relaxing vacation and we recommend it highly."

  • Exception value for Family or friends

"Great location ! House was beautiful, staff was very accommodating as was Management. I would highly recommend Ocean Paradise to anyone wishing to stay close to Rum Point Beach, desiring 1st class accommodations, incredible Ocean front views and place to make lasting memories. We loved it and look forward to returning for family reunion."

  • Nice secluded spot on the beach!

"Laurie's condo is everything she says it is. It is nicely appointed with all of the comforts of home. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need, and I do mean everything, including a blender which was great for frozen drinks on the deck overlooking the ocean. The property is well maintained inside and out. The pool was clean and inviting and the grounds were well kept. There are plenty of towels and some floats/noodles and such available for use. Some snorkel equipment too. Along with a couple of beach mats, beach totes and coolers too. Plenty of extras as well from previous guests who paid it forward with extra items they left behind like sunscreen, bugspray, laundry detergent. Even a couple of beers in the fridge. We carried on the tradition in kind. The condo is in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle, very relaxing. There is good snorkeling right outside your back door. The other units were vacant during our stay so we had the beach and the pool all to ourselves! The is a small grocery and liquor store near by as well as a couple of restaurants. We rented bikes and rode to Rum Point and Starfish Point. You will probably need a car. There is another grocery and liguor store and a few more restaurants on the east side, about an easy 15 minute drive with almost no traffic. Boddentown had a few more places to eat and was about 20 minutes away. You never have to get into the "thick of it" if you choose not to. We only went into Georgetown once on a day with no cruise ships so it was pretty quiet. The drive took about 45 mins and was not bad. Google maps helped by letting us know when a roundabout was coming up but it was pretty straight forward. I definitely recommend this place, and dealing with Laurie was a breeze. If you are looking for a clean quiet place to stay in a beautiful location drop Laurie a line, she will answer all of your questions."

  • Amazing Waterfront House in Rum Point Area

"We loved the location in the quiet Rum Point area of the island! This house is close to Rum Point and Kaibo Yaht Club, both have restaurants, beach bar/grill and water activities. Easy drive to the East End of the Island, we especially enjoyed dinner at Tukka on the East side. The house has amazing views of the water and we enjoyed our coffee watching the sun rise each morning. The house is completely updated, super clean and has quality Ralph Lauren towels & linens. The kitchen is well stocked and has very nice stainless appliances. The bathrooms have been recently updated with new tile, glass wall showers and rain shower heads. It's always nice to have a washer and dryer and there's a bunch of beach towels in the linen closets. Our family enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling right out the backdoor of the house. The house is perfectly situated with a sandy shallow strip that goes about 30 yards straight out into the water that you can walk on to easily enter the water. Watershoes are a must, my daughter wore her Chaco's and they worked fine. On the beach and in the water there are some rocks and coral that can be hard on the feet. We did see some stingrays as well, so for safety sake we recommend water shoes. The owners were great to work with!!! Communication was wonderful and they were always very quick in answering any questions we had. They gave us travel tips and recommendations for things such as grocery stores, Sting Ray City charters and a car rental company. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone considering a Grand Cayman vacation! We hope to visit again next year!!"
