  • Beautiful condo but aging

"My family has stayed at this condo three times now. The owners are very easy to communicate with and the rental process is very well organized. Being able to walk out the door to the ocean is priceless. The Rum Point beach is so fun and the Wreck Bar has amazing food and drinks. Though it is located quite a ways from most stores and restaurants, we enjoy being able to completely relax away from it all. The condo is a really great value for the money. Last year the condo was not as clean as the previous year and by this year it is definitely in need of some minor repairs and updates. The sliding door has issues locking which concerned us at night. The floors seem to have some foundation issues and there is a large cracking hump in the master bedroom floor. I think the condo is stocked pretty well but lacks any kind of cleaning supplies, hand soap, detergents, a basic broom, etc, which would aid in the cleanliness of things. The kitchen utensils and pots and pans are really outdated as well. The master bath tub has drainage issues. Despite these minor fixable things, it's a great place to stay and I would recommend it based on the beautiful location. I am staying at a second condo for the second half of my trip at a comparable price and the condition of the condo at the Retreat is now really evident."

  • Great property with a beautiful view

"We had 2 couples in our group staying for 8 days. The house was better than we expected. We had plenty of room, the furniture was comfortable, the temperature inside the house was cool, everything was in perfect working order and we had everything we needed in the house. It was also clean and there were no bugs. The view was amazing and the water lights up at night if you get in it and splash around as the house is right on the bio bay but beware of the sea lice (tiny jellyfish). They seemed to be mainly around the dock. We had Rosie come and cook for us at the house which was delicious (there is a magnet on the fridge with her number). The kitchen knives could have been sharper but we only used them on occasion. We enjoyed going to Rum Point, and to Kaibo. Both restaurants are great. They auto-grat everywhere so be aware. We also went over to Tukka's on the East side which was a great restaurant and there seemed to be more breeze on that side. We did the sting ray city tour from Rum Point, Starfish Point which is right down the road and the Crystal Caves but make sure you wear bug spray and take some water. It was very hot and humid in the caves."

  • Perfect family getaway

"Beautiful condo overlooking the pool and beach. It's well secluded yet right by everything. Kaibo right next door. Rum Point and Starfish are only a couple minutes away by bike or car (20-30min walk). Took the kayak and paddle board over to Starfish Point a couple times as well! The owners have thought of everything. There are all kinds of supplies stocked throughout the unit (condiments, otc medicine, bath products, flashlights, etc.) You'll never run out of things to do. We had an amazing trip! Can't wait to come back!"

  • Five wonderful years!

"We just finished our fifth year vacationing at this property. It has been a wonderful experience for our family. The owner and caretaker are very prompt with any questions or concerns that may arise. The Rum Point area has much to offer without the stress of Seven Mile Beach. We highly recommend the area and this condo!"
