  • Can I tell you that I feel like I just got back from Paradise?

"After spending in Montego Bay we took the gorguous drive across the island to the amazing fishing community of Treasure Beach to our dreamy beach house that would be our Om away from Home. At Shakti Home, there is something for everyone in the family. Every morning my husband and I did a different bike ride around the wonderful village of Treasure Beach to come home in time for Miss Audrey's delicious home cooked Jamaican breakfast (with freshly baked bread) and a swim in most amazing cove. The kids explored the beach, collected shells boogie boarded, rode bicycles down and hung out at Jakes, did Art class with Rhonda, frolicked in the perfect plunge pool while we relaxed with books and hammocks or enjoyed a rum punch or 2 made by our lovely house man, McCarl. There is so much to do on this part of the Island. Shabba picked us up one day for a boat ride to see the dolphins (yes, we actually jumped in and swam with the dolphins) and picnic lunch on the beach. Another day we toured the fantastic Black River Safari to see the crocodile and other Jamaican wildlife and then on to YS Waterfalls for zip lining. On our last day, we ventured to the Treasure Beach Sports Park to watch a local cricket tournament and see the action. Miss Audrey's cooking is to die for…I don't think I have ever eaten so well in all my life. We have come back to London different people…relaxed, inspired, fulfilled and so at Peace with all. We have already booked our trip for next year!"

  • A dream vacation

"We stayed at Lime Acre for a week after Christmas to celebrate my parents' 45th wedding anniversary. This villa is perfection. It has so much more charm than a new villa, and yet all the modern amenities. The pictures - which are gorgeous do not begin to do the villa or the grounds justice. It's a truly breath-taking property. Our family of 11 (6 adults, one teenager, 4 toddlers) were all perfectly accommodated. The staff is beyond compare. Rocky, the butler, is there to serve and meet your every need. He's a ton of fun, and our kids still talk about him. Winston, the chef, cooks the most delicious food from local delicacies, to French and Asian cuisine - your choice, and he tells great stories, too. Everyone loved his cooking, and we had a few very picky eaters in the group. Pansy and Fiona keep the bedrooms beautiful, and the kids loved the towel and flower creations they would create before they turned down the beds. They also kept our little ones when we would have adult dinners on the beach or go to excursions. The two groundskeepers, Spragga and Oral, are both certified lifeguards and make sure the kids are safe around the water at all times, which is so reassuring. Once Spragga knew that my niece and I wanted to find conch shells before we went home, he wouldn't rest until he found them for us - luckily, in this secluded beach location, they're not hard to find! And Oral accompanied us to YS Falls (which are stunning) and watched the kids in the pools so that the adults could go zip lining. Truly, everyone is there to make your vacation the best you'll ever have. Sandals Whitehouse is nearby, and a masseuse from that property came over and gave massages to family members one afternoon. Several of us went walking or jogging (crazy people) up the nearby hill (small mountain) and always felt very safe. The property is completely fenced in with 24-hour security. And it's huge - there are hammocks and all kinds of places to stop to take a nap, read a book, or just enjoy the most incredible sunset views you have ever seen. Every single night we got the best sunset pictures you can imagine. Don't go for any less than 7 days - even that is too short. We could've stayed forever, and I absolutely hope to return."

  • Wonderful

"We have a 10 year old son with high-functioning autism/Aspergers. It was therefore important to us to find a peaceful place to use as a home base... somewhere to relax, cook our own food, watch familiar TV programs and return to familiar routines in the evening after our daily adventures. This apartment was perfect for our needs. It had everything we needed including nice touches like masks, snorkels, and thick towels. We were perfectly comfortable. We slept well. The bed in the loft is particularly comfortable. The apartment is located with a small complex called Chrisann's, which has about 30 units. It also has a lovely little beach sheltered by a breakwater and a small, well-maintained pool. Our son loved climbing the rocks to look for hermit crabs, snails, and colourful rocks. We loved being able to take a dip in the pool, the ocean, or both whenever we felt hot. Chrisann's has a small staff that are responsible for cleaning the units, keeping the grounds neat, and providing gate security. All of them were patient and kind with my son. We felt safe and happy there. Marian provided great information to make our Jamaican experience as smooth as possible. She was also very responsive to our e-mails. We will miss Chrisann's, and apartment 10, very much."

  • Excellent stay at Yellow Canary villa in Duncan's bay Jamaica

"We had the best 15 days in Duncan's bay Jamaica. My husband research this beautiful hidden villa and decide to stay there. We were going to celebrate my grandmother 100th birthday. Unfortunately my grandmother passed away before her birthday, so we had to celebrate her life by burying her. We arrived at the villa on March 29th, 2016 and stayed through April 13th. The owner miss Veronica understood our situation so a few more family members had to join us to attend the funeral. Miss Iris understood after we explain it to her and she made sure all of us was comfortable and satisfied in ever way possible. The home was just beautiful, just a few steps to one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever experience. Our first night we request to have jerk chicken for dinner. OMG Miss Iris, she is one incredible lady, the food was delicious, she continues to impress us with amazing dishes for breakfast and dinner. She did amazing preparing delicious authentic Jamaican dishes, mind you I am a Jamaican, so I know what good food taste like. I have not been back since 2003 though. One of the favorite breakfast things she fixed was pineapple crapes yummmmmmmy. We request that a second time and it was just amazingly delicious. I believe it was the 5th day in our vacation when we had the pleasure of meeting Sandra, she is very nice and quiet until you get to know her. She prepare some fantastic Jamaican dishes for us as requested, she even goes out of her way to find things for us we request. Each and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed these two lovely ladies. I cannot forget about AMAZING Curtis. What an intelligent young man he is, he's very knowledgeable in every thing he was asked. Curtis made sure our beautiful hammock was put up along with the umbrella every morning. He continues to keep the outside clean at least twice a day, he even prepare delicious jerk chicken for us. He is quite a young man. He made sure to acknowledge each individual in our group and made us all feel special. We couldn't have ask for anyone else to make us feel more welcome in Jamaica. I would recommend this place to anyone, we would definitely return to yellow canary again. On behalf of my entire travel companions who all read my review is in agreement with this amazing service. We feel this should be more that FIVE STAR!!! Excellent. Dian & Bob Tripp"
