  • Great location and owner

"If you want a wonderful view and away from the annoying tourist this is the right place for you. The inside of the place was super clean. The unit is very nice in appearance with comfortable beds. Safe off street parking. We could not get the WiFi to work and Andre was right there fixing the problem. Andre was super helpful with where to go etc. Also there is supermarket close by. The air conditioner was a god send for us Alaskans."

  • Another Fabulous Stay

"At this point, I'm honestly not sure what I can write that I have not previously written since this was our 5th stay at this amazing home. We simply love it here, and call it our home away from home. The staff, including Arlene, the newest addition and an inspired and eager to please chef, are the warmest and most accommodating individuals; I can't write their praises enough. They are wonderful to us, and they are wonderful to our children (2 families, kids ages 10-14). Not a need goes unnoticed or a request goes unfulfilled. It's a dream staying at this villa because of the staff. We adore them. The home is lovely and open. The owners make a point of keeping the house fresh - every year there is a new piece of furniture, new decor, and/or new cushions and linens. It's a nice touch and reflective of how incredibly thoughtful the owners are. The owners generously coordinated a lovely surprise for us one day; we were most appreciative. The rooms are very comfortable (the furniture in the lower bedroom was new this year and the master bedroom seemed to have a new mattress) and as pictured. We make full use of the open spaces; you can easily find a quiet nook to relax when they aren't: playing tennis (a huge shout out to the tennis pro, Franco, who is awesome and not to be overlooked; he's a wonderful instructor and a terrific person), splashing in the pool, tossing a football on the beach, kayaking, sailing or SUP, working out in the community gym (it's a bit tired and basic, but has the free weights you need to get the job done), making friends with local children, drinking wine with the neighbors, napping in the cabana, or doing yoga on the dock. Clearly, we did all of this and more. The community, as suggested above, has two tennis courts and a gym. It also has a soccer pitch, new security (there is one gate in and one gate out; it is a very safe community - so much so that I created a scavenger hunt for the kids all over the community and set them loose, without a worry in my mind), and a community pool (which, admittedly, we didn't use). Things to know: - Don't rent a car. Hire Ray (get his # from the owners) for your stay. - Hard Rock took over Seawinds Beach Club. Good news - it's totally revamped. Bad news - it's totally overpriced. Eat beforehand and go to enjoy the beach and a drink. - Consider bringing items to donate to the local SOS Children's Village. - Don't hesitate to stay at this villa."

  • Enjoyable stay!

"The condo was as pictured in the photos, Julia was so very gracious and helpful. There was a rum cake (sooooo delicious!), a card, and basket of goodies waiting for us when we arrived. Ms. Lester, the owner, was just as gracious. She responded to emails in a timely manner and offered for us to stay an extra day due to the fact that we arrived a day late because we missed our initial flight. For me, that was SO awesome! The view from the outdoor patio was peaceful and serene. The condo security guard was also helpful and nice, he hailed cabs for us because we did not rent a car. Just an FYI, they have actual COMPANY cabs and something called ROUTE taxis. The "route" taxis are regular cars driven by locals and are a very common means of transportation for residents as we witnessed. Because it was our first time in MoBay, we were a bit skeptical about using "route" taxis. Although they appear to be safe, we opted to wait for company cabs (which did not come around as frequently as the "route" taxis did). There is a binder available with local places to eat, find activities, and transportation services if needed. There is also a cell phone provided, which comes in handy when going out to avoid your cellular international roaming charges if you have them. We used Ken's transportation service the remainder of the time we spent there. Our driver's name was Michael, he was fabulous! He was knowledgeable about the area, took us to local places to visit and eat. We visited the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston (a 3 and a half hour drive) and made a few stops to and from. Because our driver was originally from Kingston, he knew some good spots to stop and eat. We even got to see Usain Bolt's former high school and neighborhood in Trelawny Parrish! The only "downside" would be those pesty "ants" that seemingly appear out of nowhere whenever food is placed on the counter top in the kitchen and patio So be careful! Also, the air conditioner in the master bedroom does not cool as well as the one in the guest bedroom and the 2nd TV is also in the guest bedroom, so that's where we slept. Other than that, we had an enjoyable stay and we will be booking this place again for our upcoming stay July 2017!"
